I'm very happy for winning the yellow cap for the 2nd time. I got really very sad for Perez. It must have created a big disappointment for him to be out of the race at turn 1 already at his home. If Perez didn't become out of the race today I think that he could have competed for the lead.

There are only 3 races left for the end of the season and there is still a big competition for the championship in the pool.

Congrats on your second yellow cap of the year which also brought you back directly in competition for the high prize spots.It shows after this race that at least 8-10 people have real chances for the 3-5th prize spot and only three race remains which for us here pool participants different from normal fans make it very thrilling as the end of this season.In this context that entry fee I believe everyone will agree is some money well spent that make us feel these kind of emotions in the end races.In Brazil this upcoming weekend Mercedes has always done better and it will be them in our choices we make that can make it or break it for us in the pool.

Perez's collision was very unnecessary and over-motivated, if he still loses the vice-champion title, it could be that RedBull will not renew the contract and someone else will replace Perez. For the best car in the field, Perez just doesn't make enough of it.

What makes me happy is that Ferrari has been able to catch up with the leaders a bit in the last few races.

Nicely done man. You gave up BSFL but got yellow cap here, I figure it's well worth the "sacrifice".

Perez really, truly, disappointed those who backed him more than himself. I knew his impatience and desperation would come into play but a first lap burnout (I didn't watch but saw the notifies) is likely the final straw. Can't excuse it no matter what the official stance will be.

3 races left, and I thought I played pretty smart but still over 2 points off the leaders (the average I feel is absolute floor). Worst thing to happen would be to slip out of Top 10!

Now there are only 3 races left and I am in 12th place, only 0.5 points to 10th place. Now is the time to take some big chances, but which big chances should i take then? Verstappen wins every race and taking another one is out of the question. The only option is to choose another one than verstappen that has the fastest lap? since Verstappen has been dominant this season, it is also difficult to choose someone other than him who gets the pole position..

You are very lucky man. If I didn't become stupid and didn't forget to make predictions last week I was absolutely going to defeat you. Yes, only few races left and it'll be very competitive to secure a prize spot.
While many pools are already decided some rounds in advance, it's still extremely close here.
Brazil is known for chaos sometimes due to rain and maybe we'll have such a chaotic race once again, re-shuffling our prediction pool.

Mercedes has been strong in Brazil last year but I'm not sure if Mercedes is similarly strong this year again. Verstappen had some bad luck last year as well, when he had a collision with Hamilton and Verstappen's car got damage.
Verstappen and Redbull are just too strong this year and Verstappen is once again below 1.30 odds to win in Brazil as well.

Leclerc comes first among the drivers I would like to see at Red Bull the most. The competition between these two was really amazing at the beginning of last year when the cars of Ferrari and Red Bull were close to each other.

I don't understand why Red Bull are still searching for a driver to replace Perez. Bringing a star driver beside Verstappen might upset all the balances maybe. In the year Verstappen became the champion by getting past Hamilton, Perez did what he was expected to do. Red Bull managed to become the champions in constructors by far this year as well.

I don't know if Verstappen has a special contract, where he can say, that he doesn't want to have certain drivers instead of Perez. Probably, but I don't have any information about such a possible contract detail. Maybe RedBull also wants to avoid a similar situation like Rosberg vs. Hamilton in 2016, where Rosberg and Hamilton were equal and the result was a hard battle, sometimes resulting in crashes.

At least, Verstappen has said in the past, he's very happy to have Perez as a team mate but of course it's an easy decision to take Perez over someone, who will challenge Verstappen's team position as number one driver.
As team mates, Verstappen + Leclerc or Verstappen + Alonso or Verstappen + Hamilton would be interesting.

I can't imagine Leclerc joining RedBull either, I always remember Hamilton/Rosberg and Prost/Senna. Leclerc certainly won't or wouldn't line up behind Verstappen, and Verstappen would of course maintain his position. But I don't know who could replace Perez, maybe a younger talent from RedBull itself?

Ricciardo is set to replace Perez, most likely.
Not just after Ricciardo's recent performance in Mexico. And how Perez crashed out, once again, of course...

A solid second driver is exactly what RedBull wants and Perez did a good job in 2021, most of 2022 and start of 2023.
But his recent performance is just awful.

Ricciardo currently looks like he's exactly what RedBull wants: a solid second driver to finish on podium regularly, to get a safe constructor championsship for RedBull, to get 2nd place in WDC for Ricciardo and to help Max like Perez did in 2021.

Whoever Red Bull agree with for the 2nd driver position for next season I hope that the other teams can manage to catch up with Red Bull. Maybe even after many years we won't forget this season in which Verstappen has broken records. However as long as there is no rivalry it is really not enjoyable to watch races. I was expecting especially Mercedes to be much better this year. The last 2-3 years must have been a really big disappointment for Hamilton.

Today is the official qualifying at 20.00 PM European time so guys do not forget to put your picks before such time as only three races remain and losing these precious EBP points it can result in catastrophic dip down in positions as it is very close in here.

Brazil has always been a track which has favored Mercedes more than any other car but let's see how things will develop during this time and also see if Verstappen is hungry to beat even more records,in this season he has done just that breaking record after record.

I agree about a choice of a younger driver. Red Bull tried that with Alexander Albon before and the result wasn't good at all I'm afraid. He was making simple mistakes and this was due to lack of inexperience also. Not all young drivers are as amazing as Verstappen in the end and even he made mistakes in the past. 

If they really part ways with Perez my candidate is also going to be Ricciardo for the seat. He isn't as competitive as in the past so I don't think he would be a problem for Verstappen unlike the past.

Alonso is also rumoured but he wouldn't be a wise choice for Red Bull if they want to have some decent gap between Verstappen and their second driver.

Qualifying finished quite interestingly. Because we were able to watch only the first half of Q3 due to the huge storm broke out. And in that half there was a really surprising result we got. Stroll and Alonso are going to start right behind Leclerc in 3rd and 4th places respectively. I can understand Alonso's improvement but Stroll really surprised me.

Norris was the fastest driver in Q2. However he didn't have enough time to improve his best lap. But he looked promising for the race anyway. Verstappen didn't lose pole position to Leclerc this time. He was complaining about the underfloor of the car by saying that he was jumping like a kangaroo.    I wonder if he would have any issues with that during the race.

Fun day for sure.

The good thing is that this track is perfect for the sprint race, with a long speed part.
The bad thing is that once again Max is ahead he is basically almost already win another race, in this case the sprint race.

I'm not for a moment falling for Stroll, though I see a strong case for 9th or 10th place? And despite threats of rain, I guess dry means no surprises, yeah? I'll stick to my pre-quals. Not worth chucking away my 2 points.

I see you didn't take the risk after all, and it was the right call. Pole, fastest, all seem safely secured for the Dutchman. We funnily have 8th and 9th the same but no Stroll.

Yeah I couldn't do it for pole position.    Because it is really difficult to steal a pole position from Verstappen this season. Leclerc did it in Mexico maybe but it was due to a bad last sector by Verstappen on his last try.

By the way we have left the sprint race behind as well. Verstappen won the race which wasn't a surprise. However Norris' pace really impressed me. His start was also effective. These all make think about what he can do in the race tomorrow. If he keeps up this pace he can be one of the biggest candidates for podium. Perez and Hamilton changed roles about performance as well. I wasn't expecting that after watching the recent races.
