The qualifying session was literally dominated by Ferrari!  Leclerc's winning pole position helped me get advantageous as well. 

Correct, Ferrari have dominated in Las Vegas so far this weekend, but the big question is can they translate it into the race, especially in terms of maturity, strategy and holding the car?

In any case, I was lucky once at Superbru and put Leclerc on pole position, it will be interesting to see if he can do the same in the race, Max will certainly try to win the first race in Las Vegas.

This would actually fit so well for Ferrari to win today and take first victory of the year right ? I also don't want to see Max win again as I'm simply overbored to see on repeat the same thing with RedBull and Max on first place and for the sake of the sport , I hope we get a new winner today.

Great to hear you had faith in Leclerc so let's hope the strategic team will be inspired as well.

First I picked Verstappen for pole position but ten minutes before qualifying started I was still indecisive between him and Leclerc. I wish I changed it to Leclerc.    I just couldn't take the risk by thinking that my closest competitors would probably pick Verstappen just as me. While there are 2 races left it is a really important risk to take in the end.

However I'm confident about Verstappen in the race. I don't think Ferrari would find a better racing tempo than Red Bull. Perez and Sainz both are going to start out of top 10 by the way.

Sainz's 10-place grid penalty decision was unbelievable but it was still nice of him to finish qualifying in 2nd place. As for Perez it was completely Red Bull's fault that they didn't let Perez have one last flying lap.

I guess it is one of those rare races where Ferrari engineers got the setup right as I cannot explain it otherwise,it is of course not the drivers skill here as there are surely better drivers than the Ferrari ones in street circuits.The problem is the design of this track which in theory tomorrow during the race both Redbull should be advantaged because of the big straights,maybe Ferrari is great a single lap but I am sure that during the race of tomorrow their tire degradation will ruin their race as always and drivers with conservative driving skills regarding tires will surely be doing better here.

RBR is a lot storngher there.

If that move by Leclerc would have not been successful on Perez on the last lap I would be the yellow cap for today race,yet the yellow cap goes to another guy,Saint-Loup and congrats to him for that,I am happy with 2nd place in such a disastrous race which I never thought to be getting these many points.

The Safety Car changed things quite a lot and Ferrari was unlucky to have the Safety Car just 5 laps after they pitted,so this overall was the race panorama and Redbull could not win with a big margin today,it showed that Ferrari was there too.

I also doubt it will ever be beaten,even if he does not win the last race this very next weekend in Abu Dhabi the fact that he already has won 18 races out of 23 it is a super huge achievement for him personally and also for Redbull who have already won 20 races in this season,another record which most likely won't be beaten easily if it will be beaten at all.

This race though which I didn't watch as I was heavily sleeping in 7 AM  today was beautiful as I was watching the highlights and I missed a lot of action.I will make sure I will not forget to watch the next race which I usually never miss at Abu Dhabi.

Maybe he had a safe gap with Perez and Leclerc after a point. But this must be one of the most challenging races for him during the season surely.    Because Leclerc was really advantageous against him until some point. But the latest SC changed things in favour of Red Bull team. Once Verstappen found a good racing tempo it was over already.

But I wish that Perez was able defend his place in last lap. I was even shocked when he literally just let Leclerc dive in and take the place back from him. 

Perez just needed to have the turn from the inside to leave Leclerc the outside there. In the end just after that turn the finish line was pretty close. If the podium was exactly like Verstappen - Perez - Leclerc it was going to bring me very valuable extra 3 points in the pool.

That was inspired, really. I did rather poorly, 11.5 points when MoSala's got 16, so I'll feel like it's a hard line to see now with one final race to go. Superbru is annoyingly slow to update so I don't know if Vegas cost me my 6th spot... really not fun to wait haha.

The vegas win has been the subject of a benchmark race. Coming from behind to win despite a five-second penalty, making those pre and post-match statements is not an easy situation to see. He may not leave unbroken statistics at the end of his career. But I don't know if he can win as much love as Michael Schumacher. Hamilton couldn't do it and neither could Alanso. We'll watch and see. He really drives incredibly well, it is a pleasure to watch him drive. Apart from that, the only thing the guy wants is a properly raced f1 rather than a show, and he constantly criticises the f1 management openly by using the power of the championship.

Schumacher has been loved only by Ferrari fans and never by any other fans,so he was racing against no body and even his team mate was not a driver who could pick up or fight against him,kinda like Perez nowadays so I didn't love him then because he was only winning thanks to his car,kinda like Verstappen.However I would vote more for Verstappen although I am not his fan either and only have been a fan of Hamilton for as long as he drove for McLaren,Verstappen drives better and does better records no matter Safety Cars or other obstacles to his races,something Schumacher had never need to fight against as all F1 paddock was pro him at that time.

Surprisingly, McLaren did very well in the race. Piastri was in 4th or 5th spot with 7 laps left, when he had to pit because he still needed to have a stint on Medium tyres (two tyre componds are mandatory, as usual) and McLaren screwed up the strategy / got caught by a bad timed Safety Car. Otherwise, Piastri would have scored nice points.
And that's also why Piastri did fastest lap: he had fresh Medium tyres in the end.
Lando crashed out in the early laps and could have scored some good points in my opinion as well.

It was challenging for sure with the medium compound.
But when they changed to the hard compound there was no challenge at all.

The hard compound is the perfect type of tyre for Red Bull, and if they push at 100% the others can't just compete.


Without the safety car, it was a different story also, cause Max got older tyres but this is another story.

Oh...  I won at Belgium GP?  Is that in Superbru or the prediction contests in Games and Rounds?  I don't seem to remember winning or somebody telling me that I won.    Still good to know tho.  I should've put more effort in this pool tbh.  It's just the paticipants are really good and it made me lose hope after 5 races or so.

Well, what do you know? Another prediction win, and if I recall, won the last one also by going against Max in almost everything, even in small winning margins. Now I just got to put that freebet on something special, to make up for slipping down to 7th place.

One final race. I feel like only a miracle will prevent our current leader from winning this pool!
