Why do people stay poor?

There are a bunch of reasons why people stay poor and can't move to upper financial levels. Sometimes it's the lack of opportunities or resources, and other times it could be due to circumstances beyond their control. No matter how much they try, they just can't improve. This happens mainly due to lack of government support and unbalanced/bad economy of the country. Again, some can't improve due to lack of financial education or not knowing how to break the cycle of poverty. And then there are people that wants to stay poor, wait for others to improve their situation, while blaming the same people for their situation.

Poor people wasn't born with the same privilege as rich people but they can actually change their fate by striving hard. There were poor people who got successful in different fields nowadays so we can't always blame poverty. The problem is, most poor people always rely and put the blame on the government so they end up being devastated and hopeless. They are blind from opportunities that they could grab and they also lack the motivation to change their lives.

Good assistance from the state can only be received in economically developed countries in which social security is well developed. But this will not help get rid of poverty, it will help to remain at the same level.

And financial education for people is a rarity, we do not get it at school, and higher education is not always able to provide this. Therefore, it turns out that financial education it is everyone's responsibility.

People remain poor because they cannot develop skills, People remain poor because they cannot express their talents. People stay poor because they are afraid to take risks. One's financial aspect never improves on its own. One has to work hard to improve financially and in many cases one has to take a lot of risk.  Those who can do this with courage are the ones who are truly successful and get rich. But most people do not have confidence in themselves.  So they remain poor

Apart from the religious truth that there will always be poor people among us. Some are trying their best to make ends meet. One of the reasons is a poor mentality as well as several children they have, don't know if only in my country you will have someone earning twenty-five thousand naira having six children if not for divine intervention such people will always struggle financially.

poverty is not something that everyone wants, but poverty is a life line that must be accepted by anyone. The cause of poverty is due to unemployment. but poverty can be eradicated and can be overcome in various ways.
the creation of jobs, with the existence of jobs provided, at least poverty will be reduced and there will be no more unemployment.
if someone is already in his job and gets the results of his work then in my opinion he is no longer called poor.

But they have forgotten that our fore- fathers give birth to many children then due to the nature of their work which is farming. It was more like a mutual relationship the  as they feed this children with the farm products as the children work with them on farm. Now no one want to go to farm and they are still giving birth to many children. This is part of what is causing poverty in any country where such is much.

You would really be having those questions on mind that why these people do really have no plans on controlling up their birth considering on their life situation which it is really that considered to be poor?
Come to think that those who do live on middle or rich families do have those kind of family plans because we know that it isnt really something that simple on raising up your own child.
Expenses and everything that they do need would really be having that challenge on everyday living. If you are that someone who doesnt earn well then you are just simply putting
up your family on a hard situation which you cant even provide on what they do really need.

As far as I know there are several factors that affect the standard of living of people.  People stay poor because of these certain factors:

• Economic factors
• Social factors
• Environmental factors
• Individual factors
• Global factors

Among this the one that we can help to solve ourselves is the individual factor.  Aside from being in poor health and most of the things included in this factor such as education  and personal circumstances can be solved.  If we are able to educate ourselves and make ourself healthy, regardless of our family background, we are able to improve our status of living by finding better jobs (can be helped by educational attainment) and slowly make our way up to better living slowly.

People tend to be stucked being poor because they are either lazy or incapacitated by health.  Lack of knowledge and don't want to do anything to improve his state of living.

Well, who don't want to get rich? I can understand if there's lack of opportunity due to their limited knowledge for not being able to get a proper education. But it's not the only basis for a person to succeed and become rich. Unemployement is the common reason why poor people remain poor.

A degree holder person is sometimes having a hard time to get a job so what more to those who don't? However, if a poor person is determine to change what he used to, there's always a way, its just depends on the strategy and dedication to make it happen.

Besides those who lack knowledge or do not have many opportunities, some people are poor because they are very lazy. Many people have the knowledge, have health but do not want to work and all day long just dream of getting rich quickly without much. In my locality, many young people have that dream, they don't like manual labor or hired labor, they just want to do something that doesn't have to do much but earns a lot of money. Since then, they became poor and fell into stealing and gambling...They began to blame the government, and society. I really don't know what young people are thinking today.

I don't think that the vast majority of poor people would refuse to be rich, or at least to become less poor. Certainly many people don't mind being considered rich financially, if they don't lack anything vital and are happy with the life they already have.

This question is a bit complex because:

-being rich does not mean being FIAT rich. Having good health, access to water, food, and having loved ones such as family and friends is already a form of real wealth.
-poor people by definition do not have the means to invest (real estate, stocks, cryptos etc..). And how to become rich without investment?

Each people, each culture has a different and subjective notion of wealth. Each people and each culture has a different consideration of the threshold at which they qualify as poor / rich. The ways to get out of poverty are not the same depending on where you live, there are places where your economic environment allows it, and others where it is more complex.

humans are very complex beings. due to that they have different perspective in life and they have different standards in terms of being rich and happy. in regards of being rich financially, there are cases in which no matter how much hardworking of a person you are, the opportunities presented to you is inadequate to level up in life.

there are also people who wasted opportunities just because it is abundant and they know they can still get another one whenever they want, but it's later on they'll realize that it will never be the same again. in my case as a person living in a poor country, we lack the opportunity to compete into high level society, that is why most of us will try to learn new skills without even knowing whether it's useful or not, because who knows someday you'll be needing that skill. personally, i am very patient when it comes to opportunities while i am honing and learning new skills since i know the tables will turn and it will be my turn when the time comes.

Joke apart, all hands are not equal so do human beings, we are not equal financially and that natural force will remain till the end of the last day that earth will continue to revolve around the sun. When people have equal financial standards, they will never unite in this life because who will work for who, who will be the farmer, and who will be the employees? All these things will cease to exist when everyone on earth has an equal financial level. Though some people fell into the wrong side of history and that is why it is always challenging to cut the chain of poverty, there are some people that sometimes find their way out of these poor chains and become a self-made rich person.

The environment can indeed be a big influence on a person in terms of changing himself to be rich or poor, because it really depends on a person's daily interactions and the influence of the work that he often does on a daily basis. those things are the basic foundation for someone to change their life for the better so they can be rich in life because a person will not be able to become rich if he does not associate with people who are already successful and also work with people who are already successful.

Changing destiny for the better is the desire and dream of everyone in this world, but it will not come by itself without effort. For me being lazy is not a comfort zone, but it is a destruction zone that will slowly come to those who are still lazy. So it's not wrong if someone is looking for a comfort zone as long as he has tried his best to get the results he wants so that he can live comfortably without any burdens in his life.

In the real sense, not everyone is destined to be rich actually, and the measure of once wealth is measured by his ability to take up life changing opportunities, this is one quality some persons do not have, the feel wealth should come to them naturally which does not work so most of the times.

I've seen lot of persons with great talents and skills but lack the right opportunity and audience to showcase themselves for instance in my country, we've got alot of artistes who have great talents but no one to push them or support them but the moment they get a record deal and endorsement, them you see them shining and doing well but these were persons who would have been nothing if not for the right platforms that have found them.

Success only comes when preparation meets opportunity so one reason why people remain poor is because they are not ready mentally and physically to be rich and some don't just have the opportunity even when the preparations and skills are there.

Exactly, the doing part comes way too short.
I look for ways to make money, little but better is little than none and when the skill level is next to nil it's wrong to pay too much. It's not even me paying, I just check which site pays and recommend those.

How society is geared towards the part which misses is slowly becoming apathetic. The Cryptocrowd, under which I also fall, needs to create more opportunities to learn and to grow.

Many things are involved why people are poor. The background where one belongs can make someone to remain poor incase of the environment where one was brought up,  if their are no opportunities like education,  jobs , flow of money that can help people come out of poverty it is possible one might remain poor.  The environment, government where we find ourselves matters alot whether to become rich or to remain poor. The environment and the government are the major factors of creating poverty.
