Have been in crypto just over a year now so have yet to experience a bull market and up till now I have just bought and held.

Currently my portfolio is 10% down and am not planning on selling any until I 2x at least.

Bitcoin takes up 30% of my portfolio with the rest in altcoins.

What is everyone expecting in 2024/25 bull run? Is a 10x a good return or should we be hoping for more?

The current price of bitcoin is just a third of the ATH of the moment. And I expect that price will easily be overthrown as the ATH in the next bull run. I expect the bull run in 2025 will easily double the ATH. So, you can expect at least x6 of your current investment. That is given that it follows the usual trend when Bitcoin is on the bull run. But do not put too much on this but take as much profit as you can on mini bull runs so you won't regret it when your expectation does not happen.

I just checked my crypto portfolio (excluding stable coins) and I noticed bitcoin is already 62% of my whole portfolio. I am now making a weekly and a monthly DCA on bitcoin and it will continue for at least this whole year. I am also starting to accumulate altcoins slowly as I felt like they are already on the move. I am very conservative when it comes to predictions, especially on bitcoin. Bitcoin is probably at least $100k in 2025 so it's like 400%. Altcoins however are the ones to soar very high during big bull runs. I expect my altcoins to be more than 50% of my portfolio come the year 2025.

By the way, I am observing and waiting for the Shanghai upgrade of Ethereum. There is a big chance that it will drop in price and it is a great opportunity to buy more if it happens. My Eth prediction in 2025 is $10k.

I will agree with you on this, I am someone who does not expect a bull season to happen anytime soon, what I care about is how much bitcoin I will have in my pocket when the bull season comes. I'm wondering, what do we get when the bull run comes when we don't have bitcoin or have too little? Our profits are also insignificant. If the bull season comes too soon without big profits, I don't expect it to turn out that way.

Exactly, and generally people are obsessed with easy profit, They would do anything (like taking loans and investing them into Bitcoin ) and except thousands of dollars to come in short period. That’s called madness not only greediness. In fact, it is always better to find more sources of money like freelance jobs and to begin with, try to collect a capital , then prepare different strategies for each market’s condition.

In addition to that, it is always to invest all your amount to one coins. It’s true that converting what you have into Bitcoin is profitable in most of the time especially in long term but probably better opportunities will come to you in the near future. We might see another bear run as soon as possible. To be honest, we should always predict the unpredicted. That’s why making different strategies are important. For me, I expect the next bull run will happen with 1-2 days. If Bitcoin breaks $30k again, then it will probably rise significantly to $35k-$40k, let’s be optimistic.

It's a cycle though, bulls and bear market, so in any case there will be a bull run, a final catalyst will be the block halving which is still still a year from now. We can look at bitcoin's previous history, like you have said, in 2017, it was under $1k and then goes off to $19k, that is a huge growth. But you can really compare it's massive growth every bull cycle though, because it's going to be very difficult to hit that multiplier. The growth will somewhat slow down. That's why the prediction might be a conservative 2x so maybe $120k in the next bull run, not that bad assuming we all have save a lot of bitcoin in this period or bear market.

We are really looking forward to a bull run happening, it's great to see our assets increase significantly, I had a big increase in 2017 when I had about 0.65 btc at the beginning of the year then I sold and got more than $ 8000 at the end of the year, right now i have bitcoin around 0.13 btc and hope the price can reach at least $50k in the current year.

You must clearly decide whether to engage in bitcoin or crypto, so there are many images to reach a decision, ideally you should have assets in bitcoin with many advantages compared to other crypto.

My assumption is that you are holding more altcoins so your portfolio is down 10% or it is possible that you can buy bitcoins above the current price but that is far unlikely as the current bitcoin price is rising higher than the previous price.

Bitcoin is much more profitable to hold in the long term, a portfolio drop of 10% as you mean will not put you at risk if you hold bitcoin and that's why bitcoin is much more reliable for long term investment.

Personally I expect a much bigger return and a much more optimal accumulation for the next period. The halving is getting closer and hopefully we will see a new price for bitcoin.

The Bitcoin bull run is certainly happen, if not today that will happen tomorrow. But the main fact is that how much you have been able to collect Bitcoin. If you think your Bitcoin is adequate amount, you can feel comfortable, but those who have not yet been able to purchase Bitcoin will have no profit. It is not impossible to expect a good return on your investment in any bull market. When a bull market occurs, its previous high is exceeded.

It depends on how many bitcoins you have and we will see the next bullrun, if the price has reached ATH again, then conclude that you are ready to sell, but we don't know how high the next ATH will be? Is the 100K estimate the next reference? In fact, I thought it was maybe 3x more than the previous ATH. 

Now what you have to think about is bitcoin which must continue to be accumulated, while things are still not normal in our spending, so I have to be able to maintain how this is balanced while at least I hope this year bitcoin is not too high so that what is done with my DCA remains have a below normal price range.
