Mumbai lost because of their stupid batting. Even after 10 overs, I saw that Mumbai was in complete control of the match. After 10 overs, Gujarat had scored 92 runs and Mumbai had scored 86 runs. If the middle order and lower order had batted a little better, Mumbai could have reached the target of victory.

Mumbai's innings ended at 160 runs. The interesting thing is that Mumbai lost only 6 wickets. When the target was 197 runs, it is a mystery why Mumbai's batsmen batted so slowly. Especially at the crucial time, Robin Minz scored 3 runs from 6 balls and Pandya scored only 11 runs from 17 balls.

MI made some noticeable changes too by releasing players like Ishan, Tim David and strengthen their bowling with boult, Chahar along with young talents. But the absence of Bumrah is hurting them a lot.

MI has the habit of losing early matches and they once lost first 6 matches and went on to win championship so you can never rule them out.

But today they were pathetic with their batting along with some excellent bowling from GT, utilised the home condition for their strength.

Sai Sudarshan has been extremely consistent as far back as I remember, this guy deserves to frequent at international stage imo.

I didn't like GT releasing Shami and then buying Siraj, but looking at Shami's recent form, I think it has worked out good enough.

I didn't like Rabada coming after 6th wicket fell, GT should be increasing their batting depth at least wicket more, way too many pacers there (Prasidh, Siraj, Rabada, and Ishant as impact) — they don't need that many, do they?
