The job market has become extremely competitive in the past few years, while the increasing cost of living and low wages are forcing people to move abroad for a chance at a better future. Personally, I believe the economic conditions in Greece have been deteriorating; groceries, rent, and fuel have skyrocketed while the available income keeps shrinking. People with degrees are struggling to find jobs in their field that pay above the minimum wage and offer benefits such as paid vacation and humane working conditions.

Moving abroad isn't an easy decision; there are several factors to take into account, with the most important one being the language barrier. I only speak English; moving anywhere apart from the USA and UK would be a huge challenge because I'd have to learn a new language from scratch. Moreover, you'd have to take into account the increasing living costs of Germany compared to Greece, which means that you must have saved enough money until you manage to get settled in one place.

I'm really in a dilemma about what would be best for me. I'll be out in the job market in a few months after I finish with my mandatory military enlistment, and I'm unsure of what challenges and opportunities I'm going to face. I don't want to spend my life living from paycheck to paycheck. It's a good thing that I also have Bitcoin; otherwise, I'd be doomed. There's still something to believe in.

So far, in my opinion, the best option for work seems to be online, especially if it has flexible hours and a working schedule. You can work from wherever and whenever you want, provided you get the job done. Digital nomads have been increasing over the past few years, and it seems like a perfect opportunity that provides work-life balance. I believe that it's something that would suit my personal needs. I want to travel and explore as many destinations as possible, so working a regular 9-5 job with 20 vacation days per year isn't going to cut it.

So yes, would you consider moving abroad for a better future? Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?

I will not move because of the Job but for better standard of living, if you are a graduate of computer science related courses, with a good skill, you can secure a remote job in your place without livng your comfort zone, all you need is your internet 5g or 4g preferbly, your computer and the brain and you are very good to go, you don't need to work on visa to locate abroad but if you want a good standard of living, that is where migration comes in, my country don't have 24/7 electricity, no good hospital facility for treatment even when you have the money, I will move out because of these factors.

I once discussed with my partner about moving abroad, but he disagreed with that and said he didn't want to be away from his parents, especially now that my mother-in-law only lives alone.
based on the conclusions of my post, actually, I really wanted to move to other countries and change the fate of my family, but after being tied to marriage, it was impossible.

It's not a decision that you can take within few seconds. Sure, you can move to a different "cheaper" country, but like you said, it won't be easy. The people in those "cheaper to live" country are most likely struggling themselves. It might be cheaper for you, but not for them. The wage you will be earning in those country won't be enough for you to pay and cover everything. You will be struggling just like them. The best option is to find an online or a  remote job that pays well and then you can move around any country without worrying about money.

The answer to this question is dependent upon the country of an individual and the economic situation in their country as well. Definitely, before one decides to travels abroad, have they considered the taxation and also the cost of living over there compared to your own country? You know, some people travel abroad thinking they are going to get a better future, but when they get there, it sometimes turns out to not be what they expected . You might get a well-paying job, but after paying tax on almost every penny you spend, you might not even be left with much money. I know the economic growth in some countries is bad and there are a bunch of unemployed youths, so most people who also succeed in moving abroad may succeed while some may not. Personal for myself, I don't see any reason to move out of my country; I am doing very well in my career, and if possible, I only have the dream to extend my business to some foreign countries by God's grace.

I'm to old to consider moving to abroad, although when I was young, I was given the chance to work or at least be an expat in another country and work their by 1 year and I have a good experienced with it.

But not? nah, I'm doing fine in the country that I live in. In any case though, if my kids at an early age wanted to try and given the chance to work abroad? then why not? at least they will have the experience to be alone and take care of themselves and how to live alone. For sure it will be a big challenge for them, just like when I also went to during my younger years and survived and then go back home again and compare and decide what's best for them.

Likely this is not an option for me, since travelling abroad is for work in this context, it will still ball down to you tieing your time down to a regular work schedule.

Travelling abroad for work seems to be a good option for those who already made up their mind to work 9-5 all the days of their life and are ready to align themselves to that way of life having just a few days of vacation within a year, it makes no sense.

Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?
Yes, I think it will be better for me to build the necessary skills that will make me marketable in the online market since the goal is to have financial sufficiency, the world is now a global village and remote work seems to be the other of the day, so aside being a graduate one also need that technicality and skills to be employable in the digital market.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies coupled with blockchain technology have made cross-border payment easy and privacy-conscious this is why location doesn't matter much in digital jobs.

I believe, it can be tough decision to leave behind , family, friends, relatives and familiar surroundings for the sake of better job opportunities. Adapting to new culture, learning new language and adjusting with new environment, are definitely  challenging tasks thaose require careful evaluation before taking a final decision.
I would suggest you to explore online opportunities, such as free lancer writing, web design, virtual assistance and many mores. You can do these jobs from your home and manage your time as per your workload.

In the current market environment, I have seen many people who have lost their jobs and many of them who are still working in different companies have become very difficult to maintain their families in the current market environment. So many are forced to decide to go abroad as workers.

Many of my childhood friends have moved abroad to earn a living and their life abroad is not that easy either. When I talk to them sometimes, I share their troubles.
If people's income increased along with the increase in the price of daily necessities then it would not be so difficult for everyone to live. The current job situation is that the prices of daily necessities have increased but no one's salary has increased.

For those of us who are connected with online profession this is very easy but for those who are not involved with online income it will be very difficult and hard to convince them that it is possible to earn from online.

That would be the least of my worries, to be honest. I already lived six years away from my parents and only visited on Christmas and Easter vacations. I'm quite introverted and am used to being alone with my partner.
It's certainly a tough decision to make, that needs a lot to consider. It's not easy being in a foreign country all by yourself, without any acquaintances or anyone to assist you in your new life.

I agree that developing the necessary skills that are in increased demand right now would be my first priority before considering moving abroad. Working online seems like a perfect opportunity, depending on your country of residence. I have an acquaintance of mine who works online at an IT company in Germany; he's being paid way less than he would be paid in Germany, but his salary is at least three times the average wage in Greece.

From my point of view, this scenario is the best of both worlds.

The cost of moving abroad is too high. And by cost, I do not just mean the financial, I mean the emotional, mental and psychological cost. Moving far away from family to start a new life and try to build and form friendship, trying to adapt to new work routine and work culture in another culture. Sometimes the idea of moving sounds fun to me while at other times, it is just depressing. However, If I get a high paying online job, I would only consider traveling abroad for vacation and holidays and not to stay.

There are a lot of things to consider before moving to another country, it is true things are getting difficult, especially in developing countries plus the rise in the cost of living, I have seen some people move to another place but fail to adjust to the culture and lifestyle in the new place and also I have seen people move to another country when they get there the opportunity they think was there have diminished. The truth is that the world is not connected all you need is to improve your skills and secure remote jobs

So yes, would you consider moving abroad for a better future? Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?
For some reason, people may be forced to leave and seek economic fortunes in other countries. But it is difficult to change the place of residence. I thought I'd have a lot more to live with as the cost here is still quite affordable even though the average income may only cover a few weeks. There are many things that must be considered, starting from adjusting to the habits of new people who are clearly different cultures and that is not easy, especially when it comes to the family that we have to invite too. Anyone would prefer to stick around and try their best, for me personally birthplace is a very attached thing.

Apart from all that, back again to each other. If you feel ready for something new, my advice is that it is better not to decide to settle in another country but try to give it a chance to stay longer. It could be a condition that makes you confused only at a glance, so as not to leave regrets later. No matter how good the country is out there, the homeland is still the most beautiful place, even with all its complexities.

Home is home, and for me it will be difficult to leave to another country and live like a stranger there permanently. I can travel for vacation even the very long ones, but I will not consider moving there just because I have the thought that I will have better opportunities. If I have a job in that country that allows me to visit and work and then return back to my country to spend time with family on my work break, that will be good too and something I can do. Moving to another country just because they have better opportunities is not a conclusion that you will easily get those opportunities, you have to put yourself out there and that can be a difficult thing for a foreigner to do.

I will love to know the course and class you graduated with, nobody in life wants to live miserably but sometimes the situation warrants it. If you have a lot to offer to society getting the job of your dream should not be difficult but if your degree course, and class you graduated with and you has nothing to offer then you have to work hard. Also, not all jobs can be online the best will be shoveling between the two. I will consider moving abroad if opportunities open

Actually, I don't have any plans before but then since the inflation really affects our country and also the salary of my job is not sufficient anymore, going abroad can be one of my options nowadays. Yes it is hard to go to foreign country, talk to other people and sometimes language barrier is the most common problem with this but then if you will get high salary that you cannot get in your country then I think endure that thing for short period of time sooner or later you will learn their language.

If you can speak English perfectly, then you can emigrate not only to the US and the UK, but also to Australia.

The US and UK are countries that are currently reluctant to accept emigrants.  Australia is open to immigrants, if you have a good education and profession, then you can easily move to permanent residence in this country.

Australia is famous for its good climate (except for the territories that are occupied by deserts).  There are a lot of various social programs in Australia that will not let you starve to death, even if there are any problems with finding a job.  All this makes Australia a very good country for emigration.

You can also consider Canada as such a country - there the official languages are not only French, but also English.

You know some people basically like to move to abroad for influence and some people is to do businesses and some are for master degrees and for investment and many like studying in abroad, but no matter what your home is the best, you know what some went person's to abroad just for flexing and think that they will get better life over there but when they arrive there things didn't go the way they was expecting, so they regret. And when some person's went to abroad they make it the other countries, they are more comfortable more than there country.

In fact, it is very common in my country where people migrated overseas for greener pastures. Nearly half of my classmates at high school experienced working abroad and some of them are now citizens of other countries.

I don't mind living abroad for quite some time. And I also considered it before and hopefully, it won't happen again since I really want to stay in my country for good. Because for me, the long-term goal is to always return home. Not specifically in the place where I was born or grew up but at least in my country. When I was in secondary school, I always imagined myself living a silent private life. I also love transferring to different places so being a stranger is not a problem to me. Since the pandemic, I haven't made any vacations outside of my country so I am craving once again to travel and who knows, my mind will change when it comes to moving outside of my country.

I think given that todays time after the pandemic of 2020, the work from home or online work setup has been an option to everyone up to these days so as long as you can go through the setup, consider doing it. Rather than go on with all the dilemmas with language barrier, costs consideration and others, you can just continue to be in your own country doing job for international client so that you can get higher than average salary in your country. But personally, I would rather go on abroad since in our country it is so hard to find job that pays good enough and maybe because there is no option to be in a work from home setup in the nature of my work, but let's see what would happen and where will I be in the future but definitely being in abroad soon is in my mind.
