The job market has become extremely competitive in the past few years, while the increasing cost of living and low wages are forcing people to move abroad for a chance at a better future. Personally, I believe the economic conditions in Greece have been deteriorating; groceries, rent, and fuel have skyrocketed while the available income keeps shrinking. People with degrees are struggling to find jobs in their field that pay above the minimum wage and offer benefits such as paid vacation and humane working conditions.

Moving abroad isn't an easy decision; there are several factors to take into account, with the most important one being the language barrier. I only speak English; moving anywhere apart from the USA and UK would be a huge challenge because I'd have to learn a new language from scratch. Moreover, you'd have to take into account the increasing living costs of Germany compared to Greece, which means that you must have saved enough money until you manage to get settled in one place.

I'm really in a dilemma about what would be best for me. I'll be out in the job market in a few months after I finish with my mandatory military enlistment, and I'm unsure of what challenges and opportunities I'm going to face. I don't want to spend my life living from paycheck to paycheck. It's a good thing that I also have Bitcoin; otherwise, I'd be doomed. There's still something to believe in.

I will not move because of the Job but for better standard of living, if you are a graduate of computer science related courses, with a good skill, you can secure a remote job in your place without livng your comfort zone, all you need is your internet 5g or 4g preferbly, your computer and the brain and you are very good to go, you don't need to work on visa to locate abroad but if you want a good standard of living, that is where migration comes in, my country don't have 24/7 electricity, no good hospital facility for treatment even when you have the money, I will move out because of these factors.

It's not a decision that you can take within few seconds. Sure, you can move to a different "cheaper" country, but like you said, it won't be easy. The people in those "cheaper to live" country are most likely struggling themselves. It might be cheaper for you, but not for them. I agree that developing the necessary skills that are in increased demand right now would be my first priority before considering moving abroad. The cost of moving abroad is too high. And by cost, I do not just mean the financial, I mean the emotional, mental and psychological cost. For some reason, people may be forced to leave and seek economic fortunes in other countries. But it is difficult to change the place of residence. I thought I'd have a lot more to live with as the cost here is still quite affordable even though the average income may only cover a few weeks. There are many things that must be considered, starting from adjusting to the habits of new people who are clearly different cultures and that is not easy, especially when it comes to the family that we have to invite too. Home is home, and for me it will be difficult to leave to another country and live like a stranger there permanently. I can travel for vacation even the very long ones, but I will not consider moving there just because I have the thought that I will have better opportunities. If I have a job in that country that allows me to visit and work and then return back to my country to spend time with family on my work break, that will be good too and something I can do. I will love to know the course and class you graduated with, nobody in life wants to live miserably but sometimes the situation warrants it. In most of the cases the pre-plan could've taken place long back and the process ends in a smooth way. In the past it is not that difficult, now with the increasing number of people moving abroad this too is difficult. Recently my friend tried and she is completely down, because what she had learnt isn't recognised in the specific country and she needs to pursue some course and give examination. If it was a topic of moving abroad due to jobs, I don't think I need to since my job involves software development. I can pretty much stay in the country and possibly look for hiring companies abroad for higher salaries (though I reckon there'd still be local ones that would have high salaries depending on skill level) and as you've said, working at home gives plenty of advantages with probably the only disadvantage itself is you not leaving it.

Now this would change if I were to swap over to my hobby which I want to pursue professionally sometime in the future, which is illustration making. I think the OP here did not emphasize the point of going out for studies. He emphasized on employment. As such, it is good to go abroad. The OP is thinking that everything is rising up especially for leading good life due to inflation in his area. In this case there is a big gap between income and expenditure. A few years ago I would have taken a better opportunity abroad in a heart beat. As long as it's a good and reliable offer I think it's a good idea to move, if our social situation allows. Sometimes I regret going for Economics rather than becoming a tradesman, such as an electrician, bodywork repair etc, because a good number of them are capable of earning much more than the average person with an academic degree.

I will travel abroad without thinking twice about it if the opportunity shows. It's really strange how you've written all this. Are you American military personnel based in Greece and expecting to move back to America? If so, you might be unlikely to get a working Visa to visit Europe again unless you have a very useful skill or qualification. Would really be entirely be depending on  your choice on which one you would really be able to see on whats worth a career path to take but for me as long you do able to have your day job despite on having lots of criticisms about working for someone or have that 8-5 chain but we cant really deny that we do really compete out among others to get that particular spot and which you cant really just let yourself taking over.

I've also noticed that those caregivers in the Middle East are mostly not treated well; others will ask for help as they can't eat as their boss or the family that they are working with are not feeding them, and others have died. Most of the young generation is disturbed by the economic crisis, as in my own country due to inflation and COVID a huge loss of Jobs causes many talented people to move abroad for better opportunities because in Pakistan here the JOB opportunity is very low and the average income can not compared with the income he can generate on same or below level in abroad there is some impact of the evaluation of the currency recently + there are other factors involved. In Asian culture, It's so fucking stressful to be a breadwinner in the family where you know that you're almost responsible for everything while you're looking like a piggy bank of your parents. I had a couple of friends where their parents treat them like this. I understand the family oriented culture of people but holy shit, how would their children succeed if they're the one sucking it all up just to keep their parents proud.  This kinda made me appreciate the American culture where their children should be able to live on their own and separate at the age of 18.

Not really just lack of employment. Here in the Philippines, there are plenty of in-demand jobs like Software Engineers and IT Support, but the issue lies on low salary with such high qualifications. It's not only the attachment to their parents, maybe your partner are worried about them of course we're not sure about their age if there's someone to look for her parents in case of emergency since she's at abroad. More than 10 years ago, as a young teenager, I was advised from someone who was already a programmer working remotely to learn a language such as Python, C++, Java etc. I was too young to understand back then and brushed it off. I'm not sure if I regret it or not, but honestly I'd prefer it if I had some basic knowledge. You should try visiting a few places first before deciding which country is best for you. You'd be surprised how in places like Portugal, 9 out of 10 people speak fairly fluent English and you can get by with the others quite happily as you learn the local language. Just like the UK and USA however, these people want people with qualifications and skills - they have enough of their own population doing low key jobs that make fairly low incomes. If you try lots of different destinations you can see which closely match what you're looking for in life, maybe you prefer a colder climate and might be better suited to Sweden. Alternatively Germany has quite a structured society in comparison to looser Mediterranean countries.

I have never thought about moving to another country to change the future for a much better one, because even though in my country it is still quite difficult to get a decent part-time job with an appropriate salary. Some of us can still try to build businesses to sustain life, even if it doesn't bring us to a much richer stage at least enough to live life.

We're living on this time great for remote workers but depending on your approach towards it. There have been remote workers that can't contain the loneliness as they work from their homes and they need some social life because they can't do it anymore due to busy schedule.

I have never left my country before, but according to some travelers who have done so and have experience of the situation, they are saying that aren't many job opportunities in other countries also. The United States is one of the worst abroad countries to relocate to, it's among one of the most visited but that's just for vacations and tourism. The racism in the country is very high, foreigners are the target of abuses and the culprit go away with this hate crimes because they're citizens. Well, whether it is pleasant or not is totally dependent on your status and the nature of the work you will be doing there since that will determine the quality of life you will be spending in that country you are moving in. If you are well-educated, skilled, and you know that you can get a job with a good pay rate, you will probably be good.

But, if you are going into the labor industry and will be working as a laborer out there, you are definitely going to have a hard time settling or having any time to enjoy your life and stay there as you will be working too hard to get pennies in return.

With the nature of the industry I am in, it would be very hard for me to get jobs abroad. The qualifications are just very different between countries, although of course the expertise will still remain to be a plus but still, there'd be a lot of prerequisites and other such exams that I need to pass that I swore to never do again. If my job is centered on IT or generally just computer science stuff, I don't feel the need to go abroad and get better pay - I could just snatch a couple of remote consultancy jobs and I'm good to go. This is one of the several reasons too. Another thing is that, due to lack of opportunities as I've said above, the competition on acquiring such jobs are very high, and in the end the local companies or even the government will have to choose someone who is the most capable among them, and since as I've also stated that most of my fellow citizens didn't graduate with a degree they will end up failing to acquire the position. Here in my country, the answer is obviously yes, there are a lot of things that need to be considered that moving abroad is just a great option here, and most of my batchmates are already abroad because it was just better there compared to here. The number one reason is just the salary there is better, I can't believe that a college graduate student or fresh graduate will get a below minimum salary. And it's really difficult to land your first job here in my country as most companies want to hire someone that already has years of experience but in a beginner role with low salary. Also, the work here is just really off since you are almost like a slave to the company you're working a lot of hours nonstop, also there are things like doing a lot of work that is not even your job if they know that you know that kind of work, sometimes you're gonna get promoted so you're going to get more work but your salary is still the same what a joke.

If you think you have more opportunity abroad than in your own country well that's a good choice since you will have to provide the needs of your family. But seems you are not having a financial crisis since you are really settled in your homeland. Well your decision is actually good as you think many situation first or scenario. In my case, there's less opportunity to my country since even engineers are paid less than a call center. Even you say started first but we all know that engineering requires some degrees and knowledge to become an engineer. But yeah the salary are almost bare minimum. But if we go abroad that salary would 3x. Yeah, that is the way to go about it. I think we should always be looking after our families and their priorities rather than just the money. Monetary gains could not be the reason alone. If we really want to move to another country for the sake of earning then the whole family should be thought about it. What I mean is the whole family shall be taken with us as head of the family. I think there is some truth to the point you made, because after marriage, one's freedom to travel abroad will be very limited by their own family. Especially if a person already has children so he must also care for his own child even though he has a better goal by going abroad. But it certainly won't be easy for him unless someone is still not married and has big aspirations to have a business abroad and develop branches into his own country when his business is running more advanced.

I understand where you're coming from my friend, after all I was raised in a family where my dad worked abroad too. While I would understand your reservations in the field of language, I would say that's going to be the least of your worries soon as you decide to work abroad. With countries like the USA and UK being outright discriminatory against people who are not of their own race, your biggest dilemma will be how to dodge racism and discrimination, especially during the ever-increasing Asian Hate within the US territory which as the term implies, specifically caters towards discriminating and in some cases even injuring and violating Asian people, that's just one of the stuff you'd have a bigger worry than the language barrier.

Still, I'd say with the economic situations we're in it's better to eat your pride and actually do something to make your life better, which in this case is working abroad.

Low inflation is not a good indicator (or any at all) of the potential income or the standard of living. As evidenced even by the ranking you posted, most of this countries are not attractive targets for immigration.

Well, basically the reason for someone to move abroad is indeed about money or it could also be related to security. Like when the country you live in is going on a war. Then of course the residents will try to move as fast as they can. They might even decide to move even though they don't have much preparation yet. Because the safety of yourself and your family is what must be prioritized. For those who already have a family, of course, they have to think about a job or source of income that can provide a better level of life. Since I got enlighten with the things in the real world I stated to my self that it's more ideal to work abroad even though you can suffer with the sadness with your family and friends are not with you but at the end we came for the money to make us survive and get enough funds to our safety at the same time.
My country is not as good country that has a good payment way for work we just work for 8 hours above with just barely 10$ and imagine in other country they are paying with the hourly rate so far from reality that you can save a good amount of money.
