It's worth looking into Litecoin forks that focus on privacy such as Cyberyen.

I have never said, Litecoin would surpass Bitcoin. I have said outperfom Bitcoin. Outperform does not mean overtake. It is just about a medium-term investment comparison.
It seems both term are the same. I even check the synonym of outperform and one of it is overtake. If you don't mean it then you better clear it before so that people won't comment negatively about your post, if you are not used to it. Moving on, Litecoin halving is earlier than in Bitcoin so maybe yes that Litecoin will experience a nice bump in its price while Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto are still staying put but we that own them and not LTC shouldn't worry because the hype of LTC might not last long enough. We will also have our own moment. It's just that LTC holders experience it first. They deserved it because it's been a long time ever since LTC pumps.

Litecoin has a chance to reach at least $ 150 when viewed from technical analysis, but remember that support at $ 50 can also be reached because currently bitcoin is still in the confusion zone, just wait until the Bitcoin price can break $ 30k then buy Litecoin and hold it until after the halving.

Well done with expecting litecoin to outperform Bitcoin, but as far as I know it is a waste of time to speculate how best Litecoin can outperform Bitcoin to replace Bitcoin and that will never happen.
But sound great to see that Litecoin is making a recovery, and good luck to those who bought when the price crashed along with other altcoins as mentioned by ops, but for me I will do more Bitcoin and less altcoin in this period, just to minimize my risk.
I agree that predicting whether Litecoin will outperform Bitcoin is quite speculative, and it's unlikely that Litecoin will replace Bitcoin as the leading cryptocurrency. If you can see it's great to see Litecoin recovering after the recent market crash, and those who bought during the dip might benefit from it. That it's a waste of time to speculate on whether Litecoin can outperform Bitcoin or replace it. While Litecoin has its merits, it's unlikely to surpass the dominance of Bitcoin in the market. In terms of investment strategy, focusing more on Bitcoin and less on altcoins during this period to minimize risk seems like a reasonable approach.

Litecoin is probably one of the few old coins that have risen well after last year's bottom. But there is a chance that the halving of Litecoin will not have a significant impact on the price. There is no need to compare the halving of Bitcoin and Litecoin. Either way it's altcoin, which are not as interesting as Bitcoin.

After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.
But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?
All Altcoins has strong relationship with btc price. sometimes we see some coins performing well while btc price falling. the reason of this is any big update or special news for any coins which make this coins buyer stronger and they not selling coins even if Market crash Litecoin price performance was due to its halving which will happen soon and investors believe that ltc demand will be high and buyer increases their LTC holding and we saw nice pump in Ltc price.

Don't get me wrong, even though the price of Litecoin has been stagnant for a very long time, historically the price of Litecoin after the halving has also experienced a bull run, the first halving in 2011 and 2023 Litecoin pump, the second halving in 2015 and 2017 Litecoin pump, and the third halving in 2019 and 2021 Litecoin pump, then the fourth halving in 2023 and I'm sure 2025 will also pump and even reach new ath, so don't worry because history will repeat itself.

Litecoin can outperform Bitcoin when it comes to profit percentage, and I think LTC is not dead its just that the market is on a bear market right now and its affected as well. Look at the trend for long term, I’m confident LTC will pump soon, also you have to consider the upcoming updates with LTC, and that’s the halving, the price will pump after that for sure.

it's quite hard to say that litecoin is dead meanwhile its market capitalization is among the highest. Honestly i'd say that lite coin is far from dead, right now there are halving events thats gonna be coming but we still don't know how significant this will be. after all, there are many halving events occurred in other coin like bitcoin which bears no significance towards the price and i don't really sure either with the case of litecoin since it's chart resembles that of bitcoin I guess it will be pretty much the same.

After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.
But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?
Litecoin ever since Charlie Lee resigned from the team has been a stagnant, and doesn't have any big updates aside from the Mimblewimble update. I don't know if there are some big updates that happened within the project, but nevertheless, they have been out in the limelight for years already, and nobody is talking about that coin anymore. Now can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin? The only advantages Litecoin has over Bitcoin is the low transaction fee, profitability, and transaction speed, but overall, Bitcoin has the advantage, and to answer that, it's a no. I mean can you imagine a coin that has little to no update can outperform the top cryptocurrency right now in terms of market cap? I'm a bit surprised that it's still in the top 50 despite of it not being talked on the internet for years. Well, it did drop down to below the top 10 though. Now is Litecoin dead? I'm not a holder of Litecoin, but they have a big community that's why they are still at the top 50 right now in terms of market cap. There are still people who are using Litecoin for various reasons. Many exchanges are still accepting Litecoin because it has been there for a long time, and the trust has been built. It's just that there aren't no big updates from the project for years.

It will never gonna be overcome bitcoins because it has been no working way to do that since the beginning of its creation. all it can do is stay on the market because everything about its updates is no other new things to introduce and in this kind of crypto market, you need to have some kinds of new innovative things to compete because almost every day they introduced something new and working also the investors wanted to support it as long as it makes sense for them.

I can say no to both questions. I don't think Litecoin can outperform Bitcoin because of the upcoming halving in 52 days by the time I wrote this post. I also don't think Litecoin is dead because the strong community and supports from the long-user and one of the old coins out there that does still exist and survive despite so many competitions among other altcoins in the market, decent market cap and price should be enough reason to convince Litecoin is not dead. I'm not a fan of Litecoin but still using it time to time for easier transfer to other wallet because of low fees and fast transaction speed.

It's not dead, but it definitely won't be able to outperform Bitcoin. I still have some LTC and will keep holding it, but I don't have too much faith in it.

It's never going to happen. The experience of bitcoin and ETH shows perfectly that a coin's transaction cost advantage is of extremely low importance for that coin's adopting and leading qualities.

Litecoin ever since Charlie Lee resigned from the team has been a stagnant, and doesn't have any big updates aside from the Mimblewimble update. I consider Charlie Lee's resignation positive for LTC. It has since then become more decentralized, and more similar to Bitcoin. It's even possible that with Charlie Lee still as undiscuted leader, Litecoin would be today among the coins classified as a "security" by the SEC. nobody is talking about that coin anymore. Yes, because the cryptocurrency media is full of paid trash by premined centralized coins with zero innovation, all based on the PBFT consensus from ... 1999. There are however increasing complaints about this kind of "native advertising" in crypto media, I believe legal action will soon follow. And the recent move by the SEC, and the upcoming MiCa regulation in Europe will cut the market for centralized coins drastically. Centralized coins in the recent past had an advantage because they can create premined coins out of thin air to pay for bounties, airdrops and marketing. I believe this will perhaps not come to an end still, but slow down considerably. It's well possible that both LTC and Monero, for me the leading decentralized coins, will be in the top 10 in 1-2 years again, once the dust has cleared and most centralized "security coins" have been dumped down to a fraction of their current value. I'm a bit less positive about Doge but it still holds well. And other decentralized no-security coins like Grin, Groestlcoin, Peercoin, Namecoin and Signum (ex Burst) could re-enter the top 100.

There are only a few days left until the 4th Litecoin halving, if you look at the Litecoin chart then you will understand that the halving of Litecoin is a bullish start and a bearish end, and of course this 4th halving will definitely repeat its history. The Litecoin price is currently at $73 and if you don't start accumulating then you will miss this great opportunity.

Litecoin is as old as many other first altcoins that is similar in design like Bitcoin but it's a little bit faster than bitcoin but you should know that the reason why Litecoin is trending is because of its halving, where miners reward becomes divided by half like the way bitcoin always does in every four years and that is why it's having attention, nothing much and I don't believe if Litecoin will go more than were it is right now but may be if bitcoin later has some pump, it will increase in price but it's too little to outperform bitcoin.

After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.
But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?
Litecoin can never outperform Bitcoin, especially when it's an altcoin. Demand for LTC is pretty low, because nowadays investors prefer smart contract platforms with NFTs and stablecoins such as Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL). What I do like about Litecoin is that it's much cheaper and faster to use than Bitcoin for day-to-day payments. With a limited supply of only 84m units, we could say Litecoin is like "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold". The development team recently added a privacy feature called "Mimblewimble" which should differentiate LTC from BTC in the long run. This didn't "pump" LTC's price on the market, probably because of the lack of marketing/promotion from the team. But at least, everything is working as it should. With many exchanges supporting LTC, I don't think the cryptocurrency will disappear anytime soon. Maybe it will live alongside BTC for generations? Just my thoughts
