Bruh. High transaction volume doesn't mean that price will go up. I like LTC because of low fees, and fast and secure transactions. I think most people use it because of this, not because they're buying and holding it.

LTC price has been moving between $80 - $100 for the past weeks, with the coming halving in 10 days, I don't think there will be much to be expected because usually, when a blockchain is expected to undergo halving, two weeks before that day is usually dump from traders as they want to have their profits before that day, the wise ones don't want to be trapped in the circle of whales games, so I don't think there is much to be expected from to that day.

Increase in Volume means lot of traders are buying and selling and it could also mean that more people are dumping where less people are buying and its always a signal that people are selling for profits and that is why despite the volume increase you said, there is no too difference in the price, it is even dumping instead of the price to appreciate, so your volume signal for price increment is not correct.

In addition, over the years, altcoin halvings don't generate much attention like Bitcoin where you will see lot of request in google search engine, demand for Bitcoin usually exceed all time during Bitcoin halving and after that period, bullrun use to commence.

People are only getting into the hype because of the block reward halving. But they will never consider LTC as a long term investment, especially when the cryptocurrency is behind the competition in terms of development and innovation. It's not about supply, but rather the usefulness of any given cryptocurrency. LTC may have cheaper fees and faster settlement times, but there are other coins that fare better in this regard. Without smart contract capabilities, I don't see LTC getting any traction soon.

At least, we know LTC won't go away. That's because it's a tried-and-tested blockchain with decentralization as its main focus. Who knows if it outlives many of the altcoins we know and love today? Just my thoughts

I would like to say that now the price of LTC has not fallen so much compared to other coins. Probably the main thing is not the demand, but the bear market. Now absolutely all coins have lost value, some more, some less. Litecoin is one of the few coins that managed to recover well after the last bottom. Hopefully the price will be above $100 in the near future.

These are exciting times for Litecoin. The halving is only one day away, so we should expect prices to "pump" soon. Now it'll be up to developers to introduce something new and fresh that will keep LTC pumping for a long time. Otherwise, the hype will fade quickly after the halving. After all, there are many competitors on the market striving to reach the top.

I'm waiting for the day when LTC becomes one of the top 5 cryptocurrencies in market cap. It's way below newcomers into crypto such as BNB, ADA, and SOL. If LTC does make a comeback, don't expect it to be worth below the "triple digits" ever again. Maybe $1k per LTC will be possible someday? Just my thoughts

Agree. Litecoin's price in particular seems not really to react much to halvings. In the prior halvings, 2015 and 2019, the market around halvings - if we consider LTC/BTC -  was even bearish, with major pumps having occurred at times totally unrelated to the halving date (halvings marked in red):

This is not the case this time, when LTC is more or less in a sideways market, slightly bullish with respect to 2022. The brief $115 peak could be related to halving speculation, but this is not totally clear to me, it could also having been caused by euphoria because a jump in the general altcoin market was expected at the time around Bitcoin's 31800 high. As long as Bitcoin stays within its current range (let's say 27000 to 32000), I currently don't expect too much variation in the LTC price.

About post-halving expectations:

LTC has currently a trading volume of ~500 million-1 billion USD per 24 hs. Miners generate only 660000 USD worth of LTC per day (1 LTC=92 USD, 24 blocks/hour, 12,5 LTC/block). Even if they sell all of them instantly, it's only 0,06% to 0,12% of the total trading volume. So they have next to no power on the selling side. After the halving, miners' importance will go to 0.03 to 0.06 %. I don't think that makes much of a difference. But it shows that LTC supply already isn't getting diluted much by miners. Even less than in the case of BTC, where they have 0,1-0,15% (25 million/day, 20 billion volume). Thus we could say that LTC is currently even more "scarce" than Bitcoin, if we only look at the supply side.

Well we did not see any profits for Litecoin halving just yet. This can be cause we are seeing Bitcoin and other top coins losing profits right now. But we did see 6% loss in just past 24 hours.

But I am not at all worried as LTC holder. The LTC reward drop is not going to be expected until Sunday. So maybe we will see some profits at this time.

Well done with expecting Bitcoin to outperform Bitcoin, but as far as I know it is a waste of time to speculate how best Litecoin can outperform Bitcoin to replace Bitcoin and that will never happen.

I have not expected Bitcoin to outperform Bitcoin because 1 BTC is always 1 BTC.

LTC won't stay "cheap" for long, especially when it's one of the oldest coins with a limited supply. Each halving event will positively affect LTC's market price in the long term. We just have to wait until Bitcoin turns bullish for LTC to go all the way above $100 per coin. It's possible LTC will be worth $500 within a few years from now. While other coins are overhyped, they're not as useful and reliable as Litecoin is.

I believe developers should add smart contract capabilities to Litecoin. It would expand its capabilities beyond compare. Maybe making a smart contract sidechain or L2 network will suffice? The sky is the limit to how far LTC will go. As long as decentralization is prioritized, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts

I'd suggest you consider other altcoins, especially those among the top ranks in market cap (top 5). Litecoin is struggling to reach a new ATH, probably because there's no "substance" to it. Developers need to come up with something new and fresh that would revive the hype once again. Otherwise, market prices will remain stagnant for a very long time. If they don't increase with every halving, miners could be mining at a loss. This could force LTC miners to switch to other chains, leaving it vulnerable against external attacks.

Unless BTC turns bullish for an extended period of time, don't expect LTC to get past the $100 range anytime soon. Don't get me wrong, though. LTC is a good coin with a solid foundation built upon it. Market prices aside, it's one of the most trusted and reliable blockchains after Bitcoin. I've seen new features being tested on LTC before they're added to the Bitcoin blockchain. Who knows? Maybe someday LTC will get the attention it deserves? Just my thoughts
