If faced with a point of view like the one you convey, it is indeed too risky to appoint an interim coach at this time. Replacing Ten Hag is not a good choice while the season is underway, but what can you do if he continues to suffer defeats, it would be better to fire him than see United finish in 15th place in the standings, or even worse.

You opinion that the main issue at Manchester United is that the players are having issues as well as lacking respect for the manager hence their poor performance doesn't go down well with me. There's no way the football players of a club will deliberately decide not to play their best for a club that pays them salary if the manager of the side isn't treating them bad. Several reports in the media suggests that some senior members of the Manchester United squad aren't happy with the manager's tactical approaches as well as his training pattern and that's why they're are not their best for the club.

In my own opinion, I think that best thing to do now is for the Manchester United heirarchy to sack Erik Ten Hag and hire a manager that'll establish good relationship with the manager while bringing out the best from the players.

There are many scenarios, factors and assumptions that we can review based on the Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich match. but what is certain is that Bayern Munich actually lost to Frankfurt with a landslide score. one thing is for sure, Bayern Munich is playing badly overall. If Bayern Munich's decision to travel with their entire squad to England does not guarantee that they will not lose to Manchester United. This is because they are playing the way they like because they are leading the group stage, and as showed by their recent loss to Frankfurt in the Germany League, which surprised me because it was not the same Bayern Munich we know, even with their players available, they still lose. Therefore, if Manchester United is lucky enough to defeat Bayern Munich, we can only describe it as a miracle of luck. Apart from all that, this season's Champions League doesn't leave the slightest hope for Manchester United to qualify and I think everyone knows that, so changes here are probably not really needed.

One issue might be that Manchester United doesn't know who could fill the gap if they fire ten Hag and I think there is some truth to that as not that many great coaches are available at the moment I believe. However, I don't really like when clubs wait too long until everything turned into a mess and then hand it over to a new coach who has to start from scratch and even without the Champions League qualification in a worst case. I don't know what they are waiting for, but the loss against Bournemouth at Old Trafford was a torture for every Manchester United fan. Yet ten Hag is still around and I am sure there are lots of people wondering about that.
