Anyone who's seen the tactical and technical abilities of Erik Ten Hag before he joined Manchester United would never think that he's the kind of quality manager that should be compared to Manchester City's Pep Guardiola and Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp. Erik Ten Hag before he joined Manchester United was undoubtedly a good manager but doesn't in any way fall in the category of Pep Guardiola. Last season? ten hag was staying on manchester united for years. There was no progress being made by him in MU. i would prefer liverpool to play in UCL rather than manchester united. having MU in UCL was only giving embarrassing result for the EPL.
Newcastle was also a flop as it was unable passing the group stage. Mu and newcastle are showing terrible performance. It makes me feel so upset when i was watching their matches in UCL.
It likes there was no improvement that is happening in manchester united nor newcastle united. I can only pray for ten hag to be sacked by united and then club can get a better replacement for him.

They're both struggling in the  Champions League this season, Newcastle was known to be the best defending club in the Premier League last season now they have conceded a good number of goals. They've both seen injured players absent and it has affected how they play.

Even in the last weeks of the last season when Newcastle was on the ticket for the Champions League, we were expecting to see Newcastle owners invest more in this team since they have got reach and famous owners to support the teams but it was interesting for me to see they didn't invest anything in this team and that's why they could have good performance in the Champions League maybe but spending more money in the market, Newcastle could become the second teams the group to pass this stage but still, it was a good experience for this team.

Newcastle United when bought by PIF which is Saudi Public funds company they announced they want this club as one of the best in Europe but their announcement also they will not rush for this, and they will do this all slowly, and they are doing by their own strategy with now we have few rumors about change of coach as well because they are not happy with Eddie Howe even he is doing good job and keeping things at his best but in near future we can expect few changes in this club and surely next season could be much better than current.
Right now they are at sixth spot and most chances they will keep this place for long time because at higher ranks we have tough challenges, and it's never been easy to jump above, but if they are able to keep things under control then still we can expect good results from them in coming weeks.

Real madrid and manchester city are still remain as the team with the biggest power in UCL. Barcelona's position has been going down slightly. Some teams were already eliminated as they were placed at the third and fourth place.
Glad to see that if so numerous clubs were able going to the knock out stage. The fact that both Pot 1 and Pot 2 have already been revealed means that we are just moments away from witnessing the draw. The teams in pot 2 was not hoping to face some clubs like real madrid or bayern munich.

Some clubs that are still under perform like napoli may be probably leaving from the UCL after the upcoming stage. Serie a clubs were not performing so well this season except intermilan which is still very consistent right now.
We should wait for the draw to take place in order to determine the schedule for the upcoming match. I expect PSG to face a strong club from pot 1. The performance of Mbappe's team during the group stage was not up to par.
