It's easy win for Manchester United. They were not performing that good, but looked so sharpness in this game. They created 5 goal attempts, and 3 successfully converted to the goals. They started looked like a proper football team again, but i may be too early in taking such conclusion consider they only fought leicester.

My credit goes to the Bruno, he created 6 goals from two games is absolutely insane. No doubt he's the only guy who carried the club. He's always cooking in any game.

I know the result is not a big take away, but quite impressed with how they secured three points with cleansheet.
Manchester united performance can be trace to Bruno wonders, he is the engine room of Manchester united, he never get tired he played in any positions the coach wants him to play to help the team win. He is just a perfect captain for the club. For the current form, he has been a star boy, scoring three goals in the Europa title and creating chances for the other players to score. Winning Leicester was not that a tough game for them, but a win was important to scape the relegation zone. They have to keep performing well till the end of the league to get Europa spot in the league.

Liverpool are still empty-handed...

FA Cup : eliminated very early
EFL Cup : eliminated in the finale
Champions League: eliminated during last 16

Now there is only the Premier League left to win. We can already call them as the champions here though. Because the gap is 12 points with Arsenal so I don't think even Arteta believes in their chance anymore.  Tongue

Do you call Arne Slot successful for this year? I think winning a Premier League trophy is a good start at least. He is about to end Liverpool's thirst for this title - the last one achieved was in the 2019-20 season.

The most obvious sign that Liverpool have already won the title is that bookmakers are not accepting bets on it.
As for next season, it will be a different team - Arnold will leave, Salah may leave, Van Dijk too, etc. It's too early to talk about next season as we don't know what kind of team Slot can put together plus we don't know what the competitors can do.

If I've failed once, twice, then thrice I don't think I'll want to fail the fourth time, that's exactly what Liverpool people should do after losing in the Caraboa Cup finals to Newcastle, they should recover quickly from their grief and train harder to retain the 1st place for the remaining games and win this season's Premier League trophy, that's their only chance of winning a trophy this season and if they relax about it they could lose that opportunity to Arsenal, they're lucky that the break is by the corner and it's enough time ease their pains and I'm sure that they'll be fully fit and ready to end the season in a very good position instead of failing again like they've done in other competitions, Slots still got some work to do on those boys in the dressing room, they need to be motivated with words and not just training and drilling alone. Too bad Liverpool would lose some key and experienced players after this season it would be tough if they don't find good replacements for the against next season.

Although I think Liverpool are not in any danger (12 points is too much for the remaining 9 games) but from a purely psychological point of view Liverpool are really lucky that there are now national team games. The players can take their minds off two painful defeats in a row and then start all over again. By the way, the first game after the break promises to be exhausting - Everton is a fundamental rival and they have two whole weeks to approach the game with Liverpool in maximum shape.

I agree. Liverpool will have time to chill and gather themselves up. They are now out of every tournament. Therefore there is only one place to focus on, bringing the league trophy home safely. It shouldn't be a very difficult job considering the gap.  Grin

No Palmer, no Chelsea. This is what we have seen clearly on the recent weeks. If it wasn't for his illness maybe they could have done more against Arsenal at least.

Like I said earlier, he isn't contributing with G/A for quite a long time. But even his presence changes the team's playing style. When he is absent they play like they have no idea about what to do.  Sad

Liverpool are very close to winning the title, all they need is not lose too many games which may lessen their points gap with Arsenal. Liverpool has lost only one out of 21 games they have played this season, it will be a safe bet to say Liverpool will win this season title.
Everton may be fundamental rival but they are not in good form this season with seven wins only and are no way near to Liverpool. Having said that we have seen teams from bottom beating top teams in EPL, that's why we can't say with authority about winner in Liverpool vs Everton game

Thomas Tuchel had one of his worst runs as a coach when he happened to be going through a divorce and now Pep Guardiola...
This shows us how women mess up even the best men mentally
Maybe it's time for Pep Guardiola to do what he does best - RUN
Just like he did at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, he must leave City. Just kidding Smiley
I'm not a Manchester City fan but I don't think Pep is finished, Pep is the reason why Klopp got tired, and why Liverpool is considered in the best run but not winning the league. Pep is a strong man... It's only a matter of time before he rises.

While reading your post I thought for once that you were serious.  Grin

Because Guardiola isn't going anywhere undoubtedly. Yeah, the season isn't going on well for his team. But it happens... There is no guarantee that you will always be a winner team every year no matter how strong squad you have. The bond between your players is very valuable. It looks like this bond is broken among Manchester City players. But I should say not only this. There are some players who should leave this summer to create space for fresh ones who will fight harder than them.

Pep is a great manager. If Pep leaves City will be relegated. Smiley
But It's crazy to think in the worst season with Pep City will finish in the top 4
Pep rebuilt the City squad before, so he can and will do it again. Never lose hope.
I think the team has improved, the attack is good, and Marmoush is also good, but Doku's finishing is still lacking, so there is no need to sign another striker.
We will see a new Manchester City next season. Pep is changing to a more direct style of play, so I suspect City will sign more physical and fast players in the summer. IMO

Merely looking at there performance it is very obvious that Liverpool will win them but it is not going to be as easy as we think because Everton can be very stubborn at times but even if they will be stubborn I don't think it will be where Liverpool is, not even now that there only hope is the premier League, they have lost the cup yesterday to Newcastle and they have been knocked out in the champions league after topping there for some time. Out of the 9 matches that is remaining, if only Liverpool can win 5 and Arsenal loss one more they will give them the trophy.

That's not true, you exaggerated too much, there's no way they'll get relegated cause before Pep Guardiola came into the club in 2016 they were already in the top four battling to becomes champions in the Premier League, you can check on their past record from 2012/2013 season to 2016 when Pep came in, you'll see that they constantly finished in the top 4, so how would they get relegated when he leaves? You forget they now got the funds to spend compared to before and all it just takes is signing another good manager and back him up with funds then help him sign the right players for his tactics and it's settled, take PSG for example, look at Enrique you can see what he's doing with the right players, Ancelotti in Madrid, Kompany with Bayern Munich and so forth, with the right players and enough funds to buy them, any good coach would succeed, focus on Kompany as your major instance.

Bruno is absolutely carrying United right now, and without him, this season would look even worse. He’s not just the team’s top scorer and playmaker, but also the one constantly trying to create something, even when nothing seems to work. The real question is—aside from him and Diallo, who else deserves to be in United’s top three this season?

Liverpool have lost stability in the last few matches, but I don't think it's critical because just the last few matches have been a bit tough for them with a busy schedule, so it's not surprising to see such results. Now that they are only left in the EPL I think they will focus and go through to the end without defeat finally winning the Premier League title

Seriously Bruno is the only player holding Manchester United right now, if not for Bruno, Manchester United might be in a worst position right now. Seriously most players in Manchester United doesn’t deserve to be in the club, I don’t really know the real problem of the player’s, is it that they are not ready to play for the club, or maybe the club which they are playing for is too big for them? Before there will be improvement in Manchester United’s performance, then Amorim will have to sign some quality players to the club.

i'm not sure what's more impressive, Bruno's individual talent or the fact that he's making up for so many of his teammates' shortcomings. you're right, the real question is who else in the united squad can step up and make a difference, aside from diallo. i'm not convinced amorim has the resources or vision to bring in the quality signings needed to elevate the team as a whole, though. do you think it's time for united to start looking at youth development as a more serious part of their strategy?

Bruno's role in the team is only an equalizer, it also looks like he forces other players to give confidence to to look like the most influential player in the team. If I may fork, he wants to be like Kroos when strengthening Real Madrid but not the same. He is more ego. He often forces bait to other players according to his desire without knowing the style of playing one team.

Amorim began to look great by orbiting young players. In the match against Leicester, the player who was orbited performed well and it needs to be special attention by him.

The manager's life doesn't seem very long at Tottenham, to be honest. Because they are really bad this year. Most of us are not used to this because we usually see Tottenham in the race for the top. Their ranking this year is disappointing. They are still performing well in the Europa League, but their opponents there are not easy. They have been matched with Frankfurt, one of the strong teams in the Bundesliga, and it is not certain that they can pass this match. If they are eliminated from the Europa League, the manager can be dismissed from the team.
Why do you think Tottenham will be as bad in the Europa League after they have already qualified for the quarter finals. I think there is something wrong with you in the way you judge a team, Tottenham are not at all weak even though they are struggling to improve their performance in the Premier League.

I agree to say that Frankfurt is one of the 4 best teams this season in Bundesliga, but I can't hide that Tottenham is the best team in the Premier League too. There is no absolute favorite between the two teams, but I think Tottenham has a slightly better chance to beat Frankfurt in the quarter-finals. I don't force you to believe me, but let's see.

i'm not sure what's more impressive, Bruno's individual talent or the fact that he's making up for so many of his teammates' shortcomings. you're right, the real question is who else in the united squad can step up and make a difference, aside from diallo. i'm not convinced amorim has the resources or vision to bring in the quality signings needed to elevate the team as a whole, though. do you think it's time for united to start looking at youth development as a more serious part of their strategy?
At least for this season he can be more mature in midfield by reducing the high level of ego he has he is developing quite well.
If things like this are always done then actually Bruno is one of the good players, it's just that he thought too much about himself before which made the momentum he had just disappear and indeed it was a situation where the performance was ultimately unstable.

At the moment he is more focused and more able to minimize that although it cannot be denied that it still exists on several occasions but not as often as the previous season because maybe he realizes that now bringing the club to a better direction is the main focus rather than making his individual more visible.
There is now a slightly better hope for Manchester United as they are slowly gaining momentum although the performance is still unpredictable but at least there is a hope for them to continue to get points and not taste defeat in the last few matches.

Neither Manchester United nor Tottenham are relegating obviously. But still this doesn't make them comfortable of course. Just look at their positions in the standings. Terrible... They look like some kind of average level teams in the PL.  Sad

Where do you see these 2 teams next season guys? I'd really like to see Amorim improving with new transfers. But hopefully he doesn't bring useless players like Erik ten Hag did and spent even a lot of money on them. Normally Ange is also not a bad manager. Tottenham are one of top scorer teams but the problem is the defense. He needs to bring more decent players to this area if he doesn't get sacked. The same for Amorim about sacking.

True. They are safe from relegation zone because those teams in the relegation zone have too small points.
If we look at their positions in the table, they are like average teams. We even can say they are weak teams because they are close with relegation zone. It is very surprising that big teams like Man United and Tottenham performed so badly during this season. There are too many changes with these teams, both in the player quality and the coach quality.

In the recent matches, Man United looks better. I'm confident with Man United performance for the next season. But for Tottenham, I am a bit doubtful with this team. Tottenham has a worse squad quality. This team needs to improve the quality of their squad if they want to improve their performance.

Relax because there is no way either of Tottenham and Manchester United will be relegated. They will remain in the premier league but they may not meet up qualifying for any of the European competitions. Although Manchester City have a chance of qualifying for Europa league if they have  the courage to win all their remaining matches, a task I consider too big for them based on how they are struggling to survive. I hope the coach will be able to bring in new players because injuries really disturbed them so much this season.

I guess the both teams are not in relegation for some time Manchester United and Tottenham have been underwhelming this seasons  and still thier both performance do not really match with other top teams in season,Tottenham's on the other are struggling with thier  defensively but it still didn't stop them from putting the ball the goal post, you me i feel that maybe next season the teams will be on alot on transfer and how to manage the team and i gusse they shouldn't buy overpriced player for now.

It's a shame that Manchester City would be relegated due to their poor performance this season, a friend of mine asked me, "what's champions league without Manchester city"?. This season really surprised everyone, the top teams that we expected a lot from just went cold. I was expecting that Manchester would win their last game because of what was at stake but to my greatest surprise the game ended as a draw. Is this the same Manchester city we used to know? Just like you said, I hope the coach would bring in new players.
