The season has just begun. The result of the first game does not mean Man United is still overshadowed by past struggles. That defeat is certainly very disappointing, but it is not the end of everything. Carrick certainly knows what needs to be done in the next match to ensure the same mistakes are not repeated.

Men! This game is more than crazy. Newcastle took back their lead three minutes after Gakpo leveled the scoreline in St James Park. I didn't expect that second goal so quick.

Congratulations to Manchester City on today's victory over Bournemouth, it was really expected of me, when they said Bournemouth might surprise people to beat Manchester City I didn't believe that was possible and indeed I was all correct, but the thing is Manchester City should step up their game, Enzo Maresca should take hold of himself, I think he's in tense and that will not really help matters here, they still have some more challenging matches ahead and playing with this pattern will only cost them more harm than good.

I will likely agree with you that the big boys will likely win their games, Arsenal have already lead the way, Manchester United are currently battling with Hull City, though the game is still goalless, let's see how things pan out. As for Manchester City, Rodri is not a striker to say of he was available, the goal difference would have been high, I don't subscribe to that. Newcastle vs Liverpool is the first big game we are going to watch this season, I really don't know the style of play of Liverpool this season, else I would have judged them based on last seasons performance, so I would like to sit on the fence for that game.

they were very unlucky in the first match. they failed to capitalize on 21 attacks. Man Utd's weakest link is their defensive line. i really don't understand the point of persisting with names like Maguire, Shaw and so on.

Yeah, they had tough time on this game between them and Bournemouth i was thinking if Manchester City will lose their first match of the season due to Bournemouth mounting pressure on them when i saw 0-1 and thought if it's because of Guardiola absence at Manchester City. Because in the history of Manchester city and Bournemouth i think Manchester City has upper hands in wining them both and away matches but today watch Bournemouth almost get away with a point just 90+1 man city got their victory.
