What's Newcastle doing lately by the way? Weren't they bought buy rich people?    They aren't taking much action as for making big signings. Clubs managed by rich people always aim to build a strong squad normally.

They are at least good with selling players for good sums this summer. As far as I can see, they have made 76 million euros from Elliot Anderson and Minteh until now. As for signings, Lewis Hall and Odysseas Vlachodimos are the only names I see.

I know they aren't very successful so it is also a factor for big names not to lean towards a deal with them. But they can still attract many other skilled players with paying nice sums to improve the squad.

When Newcastle was owned by the rich man Mohammed bin Salman,  at least at the time of the statement that they would not  rush to make major changes to the team. Thus, it seems that this is really happening because eventhough Newcastle has good finances, but they also only buy players who I think are ordinary. If so, then ofcourse it will be difficult for Newcastle to be strong in the standings to have an achievements.

Because after all, if the team does not have a guarantee to be able to compete strongly in the title race, then ofcourse the team will have difficulty getting good quality players. With that,I also do not really understand what Mohammed bin Salman's concept is in owning Newcastle, because until now Newcastle has not made major changes to be able to make the team have above average quality.

It's high time Manchester United begin to make younger talents  their priorities over older ones like the likes of Casemiro who's major contribution to the team is more of Leadership than hardwork, Casemiro might be very experienced but he's becoming weak and could hardly fall back after a high press, the team needs a younger and quicker player, someone that would be very active on the pitch like Rodri and Manual Ugarte is the right man for that job, he'll make the work of a pairing with either Bruno Fernandes/Kobbie or Mason Mount more easier for them, so United should hasten with that deal or rather resign Soyan Amrabat. As for Lindelof, Eriksen and Maguire, I think their time is up at Manchester United, they need to be cleared, to make room for new signings and selling three of them especially would go a long way to sign one to two more players. Talking about Antony, he's a good player but in case he's not sold or loaned out, he should work on making sure he makes up for his mistakes in the previous season, many United fans, would be wishing they keep Sancho for another season but it's the boards decisions that matters mostly and they want to sacrifice the sale of Sancho to be able to afford new players. One player that would be really missed is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, He's one of the players fans love mostly and would wish he stays for another season, but then let's not forget that Erik Ten Hags tactics at Ajax require a right back that could perform very well in attack whereas Wan-Bissaka is more good in defence with few knowledge of attacking and crossing. Scott Mctominay is a good player but I'll prefer they sale him.

Donny van de Beek must be one of the biggest regrets for Manchester United by the way. Because they signed him for 39 million euros in 2020 but they sold him this month for only 500 thousand euros... 

From now on, this team will really need to be more careful with their signings. Like I said, for now INEOS is doing a good job. Ugarte was on their radar but still not progress as far as I can see. PSG is about to make Joao Neves deal official soon. I think it should be easier to agree with PSG on Ugarte signing after that but let's see. Well, it seems like Erik ten Hag really doesn't have a good choice when it about to buying and selling players because after all, Donny van de Beek also came from Ajax before and it's possible that Erik ten Hag brought him too at that time. But in reality, Donny van de Beek was also a loan player until he was actually sold at this moment to Girona after previously Donny van de Beek was loaned to Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Thus, it seems like it would be better for Manchester United not to involve Erik ten Hag in plans to buy and sell players in this transfer market. I also think that Manchester United actually spoil some players that they bring in. I rarely hear about Newcastle in the transfer market this season, maybe I don't follow them too much, or maybe because they don't make many moves to get big name players, even though financially they are actually able to do that. If they don't do that, at least there are other processes they do such as regenerating and accommodating more young players, but they didn't do that either.

There was hope when they managed to be in the Champions League last season, because the previous season they managed to finish in the top 4 of the English League. However, in the Champions League they performed disappointingly by only being able to be the bottom with only collecting 5 points. Yes, even though I know they are not so lucky because they have to be included in the group of death which includes Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint Germain and also AC Milan. And 2 of them managed to reach the semifinals and even reached the final.

Liverpool are yet to make any signing this summer transfer window and that has been a surprise to many considering the fact that the club now have a new manager after their former manager left the club at the end of last season. The club's new manager two days ago revealed that he's very happy with the current set of players at the club and might end up this summer transfer window without bringing in a new player. For me, I don't think it'll be a good for the club but since the manager is okay with that, then we'll keep our fingers crossed and see how things pans out at the club next season.

Manchester United's team is not that bad, but what I just observed from the side is that they don't have a good head coach. If Manchester United can use that squad to defeat Liverpool and Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup, I believe that the squad is not bad. Do we know that the standard quality of players that Manchester United has? Aston Villa, which ended the season in the top four last season, did not have players up to the standard that Manchester United has.

If Manchester United can get a more tactical and talented head coach, all those quality players that are not performing well will start performing well. As for me, I still believe in Manchester United's players; they can do well next season if the head coach can be more disciplined with them. I can't say much, but even if Manchester United gets some more quality players with this head coach, they still might not improve that much.

After Newcastle's change of ownership I thought this team would probably transform into another Premier League giant. And we have seen an unprecedented change in Newcastle's overall performance since the change of ownership. Newcastle qualified for the Champions League for the first time. So we almost all thought that Newcastle management would probably surprise everyone this time by adding star players to their squad at high prices. But we don't see anything like that in the last two years.

Newcastle management are very cost conscious. And I don't think they have any desire to dominate the Premier League at the moment. They want to improve slowly. If Newcastle's management plans long term, then maybe we will see some stable performance from Newcastle over the next few seasons.

I don't understand this deal at all. Fulham is really serious to pay 41 million euros for Smith Rowe?    I mean he is still young (23). However he hasn't played properly for two years. Doesn't this make them nervous?

Arteta didn't give him much chance in the time period I mentioned because of the arrival of Odegaard and Havertz of course. Otherwise I think he could have still played more than these statistics.

Most likely Arsenal sold him for £35 m to Fulham. Emile Smith Rowe can't compete with Odegaard. He must leave Arsenal to save his football career. Arteta is not trusting him anymore, and Fulham is the right place for him.

So, Fulham is an average club. But, this will help him a lot to regain his best form, as long as he gets fit and stays fit.

Considering his market value has dropped to 22 million euros in the meantime, it would be a spectacular sale for Arsenal taking the current offer into account.    I hope he can improve his performance at Fulham too.

Maybe he was talking about Manchester United during Alex Ferguson time as manager  , now Manchester United quality has declined drastically and they have failed to finish in the top four. Manchester United have some quality players, but their performance is far from what is expected, the players seem to have difficulty bringing out their best abilities, as a result they are unable to provide competition in the title race.

Bringing in new players is one of the things that needs to be prioritized, the coach also needs to change Manchester United's playing style to be more effective in carrying out attacks. I don't see either team taking this game seriously, they are just playing a friendly and the main purpose of this game is to get the players fit so there is nothing to judge from Man United's defeat, both played well and they are really just playing a friendly so there is nothing to gain from winning or losing so don't take this seriously.

Man United have some players who are not in their squad and so do Arsenal, and Man United still have one important game against Man City and of course they will give everything and this game is just a consolation game so you can't conclude that Man United will struggle next season, if you conclude like that what about Man City who lost their two friendlies? so there is no one to blame this is just a game to get the players back in shape.

Were you expecting a different result before? I actually did not expect something different other than this because looking at the performance of both and judging from last season standing, this result should not be shocking. In fact, I expect a scoreline greater than this. I know we are about to enter a different and a new season which we are not supposed to use previous performance as the basis of our analysis but it will definitely take Manchester united some time to recover their form if at all, they will have a great season better than last season. I don't think Manchester united even at their prime time would stand Arsenal with the current form.

I also share the same sentiment as you bro, the current team of Manchester united is a disaster in the making if no further signing that can improve the team is being made, am saying so because if you look at their performance in the league last season, it was actually a disaster on my own point of view, and sincerely speaking, finishing in number eight position for a team like Manchester united is actually a disaster, and it was because of the FA cup that they won that gave Eric ten hang a chance of managing the team this upcoming season, because he would have been sack if it they didn't won the FA cup, that they won, but their overall performance throughout the season was actually a disaster for a team as big as Manchester united, so I totally disagree with the other guy saying that Manchester united has a very good team

I think you can't make a conclusion too quickly while this is just a friendly match not a real match.
The new season has not started and the club coaches will give warm-ups to all the club players and what Man Utd experienced is not something to be ashamed of because even though it was just a match that was not serious in fact Man Utd only lost by a difference of 1 score.
Everyone will say that the match was not interesting because in terms of performance it was not optimal like just trying a new strategy and testing the physicality of the players who had rested for a while to relax their leg muscles before the new season started.

Manchester United and Arsenal used this match as a tester for their performance. I never took the result from this match seriously. I think you're only watching the game for the result. It's just a friendly match, but you saw it as a serious game.

Look at there being some improvements made by Manchester United here.

1. Hojlung becomes even more confident with his squad.

2. Rashford performance was so average in this game, and yet again he is very slow in this match.

3. Amass played very well, and Manchester United can save some money to be spent on a new LB.

4. Mount looked very energetic in this game, but he was not good enough.

5. Many mistakes by Onana, and he must take care of it.

6. Anthony played like a mediocre winger, and he doesn't deserve a spot as RW.

Don't judge Manchester United based on their pre-season loss to Arsenal. They can still compete for the title. There's still enough time for Ten Hag to improve it.

Manchester United and Arsenal used this match as a tester for their performance. I never took the result from this match seriously. I think you're only watching the game for the result. It's just a friendly match, but you saw it as a serious game.

Look at there being some improvements made by Manchester United here.

1. Hojlung becomes even more confident with his squad.

2. Rashford performance was so average in this game, and yet again he is very slow in this match.

3. Amass played very well, and Manchester United can save some money to be spent on a new LB.

4. Mount looked very energetic in this game, but he was not good enough.

5. Many mistakes by Onana, and he must take care of it.

6. Anthony played like a mediocre winger, and he doesn't deserve a spot as RW.

Don't judge Manchester United based on their pre-season loss to Arsenal. They can still compete for the title. There's still enough time for Ten Hag to improve it.

In as much as you’ll want us to take the game as a friendly one, I don’t think Ten Hag sees it that way. I remember the preseason game against these two teams last year, he said Manchester United doesn’t play friendly games. He wanted his players to show how far they’ve improved and he was eager to show it against Arsenal. I think Manchester United have a lot to work on. Some of his players doesn’t look ready to start the season. Rashford, Antony, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Onana and Wan Bissaka.

I believe they will bring more signings to perfect what Ten hag is building with these players.
On the other hand, Arsenal played very well. Gabriel Jesus looking fit and hungry.. like he wants to prove a point.
They have Partey and jorginho fit. The whole squad is fully fit barring Tomiyasu. Bukayo Saka and Saliba join up with the team this week. I hope they win something with this momentum.
