This United game started off well for Amorim and his new team... with an early goal coming from Rashford, but unfortunately when you are playing away from home the fixture turns out to be tough one and Ipswich at the moment are no pushovers as they have settled in after that Manchester City demolition and don't give up easily..

Was really hoping the new manager would get a win today , but both team's settle for a point which isn't bad and just hope he imposes his authority into the team and brings those result's.

Been the debut match for the new manager most fans would have thought that it was going to be a walk over game for Manchester united as they are playing against not too strong team in the premier league. But this is just a message to Amotim to understand how tough the EPL could be unlike where he is coming from, in the premiership no team is small especially playing at home ground.

It was actually a wonderful performance from Ipswich playing with some resilience forcing the game to a stalemate against a Manchester united side who we thought would have given us a convincing victory with their new coach Amorim.

They started well with the intensed pressure on the home side as Marcus Rashford sent that one inside goal.to put his side ahead of the home side ipswich.  They couldn't keep up with that same energy though they looked sharp when they started. At some point,  it was no different from.what we sae understand Erik ten Hag. Implementing your style comes with a lot of ins and goodbyes,  I will love to see player who aren't worthy leaving the club.

]With Liverpool's performance this season I think optimistically Liverpool will repeat the 2019-20 season where they broke Manchester City's dominance which had previously won the title for 2 consecutive seasons if at that time Liverpool had not won the EPL title maybe now Man City has recorded 7 EPL titles without a break, compared to Arsenal actually Liverpool is more convincing to be a competitor for Man City in the title hunt, it seems this season will be Liverpool's successful season again.

It is a fact that things can be very favourable for Liverpool, but remember last season, City came with everything, they swept them off their feet, when they were behind, the one who was in first place at that moment was a Liverpool, also an Arsenal, the fight apparently was between those two, but as it happened that City caught up with them and overtook them, beating them like the champions of the P1 I wouldn't trust anything, suddenly Pep comes out with something that will leave us all with our mouths open, Pep is like that, he's a very strategic coach so we shouldn't trust too much in the performances that we've seen so far, there's still a lot to play for.

Lol, playing against a promoted team and a team in the relegation zone like Ipswich, should have been a great moment for Amorim to get his first win for Manchester United. But anyway, the reality for me is that Manchester United played badly in this match even though they got a draw, but I think it was still a bad result. At least, this is the reason Manchester United shouldkeep Ruud Van Nistelrooy, because I believe Ruud Van Nistelrooy is the right choice to be the headcoach of Manchester United. You're right. Ipswich is only a weak team and they are in the relegation zone. Their stats also look badly, they are one of the teams that conceded the most goals in EPL. In theory, Man United should win the match with many goals because Ipswich has weak defense. Surprisingly, Ipswich played more effectively in the match, they could make more shots on target. TBH, it is funny to see the stats of this match. However, I can understand Man United players playing under performance because they played with unfamiliar formation and with different strategy.

I agree that Van Nistelrooy did better than Amorim. Van Nistelrooy understands well how Man United squad ability. He didn't force to use unfamiliar formation or unfamiliar strategy. Van Nistelrooy only changed what was necessary, he didn't change all the system. It is different with Amorim, he forced Man United players to play with his ideal tactic and formation.

Considering this result, I agree Van Nistelrooy should be the best choice for Man United coach.  

I personally bet on Manchester United to win in this match, because I want to see Amorim succeed in his first match only playing the bottom team in the standings. But, after I watched the match it turned out that Ipswich was not easy and there was no chance for Manchester United to win, so I decided  to cashed out my bet, and that was the right decision  because Manchester United also failed to win.

You did the right decision. It's just surprising that you want to bet on Man United match. Most people avoid to bet on Man United matches because Man United performance is very unstable. Betting in Man United matches is riskier than other big teams in EPL. Why don't bet on Liverpool match?

It came as a surprise that Liverpool had such difficulties in beating Southampton. We are talking about an opponent at the bottom of the standings. They really fought back hard.

But Salah is just amazing... He played a big role today with 2 goals as well. 10 goals and 6 assists already in the league. Liverpool would be really sad when they probably lose him next summer.

By the way Amorim started to play with a 3-defender formation right away.    He really likes it but today unfortunately it didn't work out. But in the long term maybe his formation start working smoothly.

I can imagine how frustrating it was for Liverpool defenders to keep up with Southampton's second goal... The counter attack was so fast that the striker lost possession of the ball even before he was able to shoot...
Nevertheless, Salah's first goal was so unconvincing that the commentators had to say it was gonna be ruled as offside, but it wasn't... Who just runs casually and leaps over, controlling the ball on their left foot, barely kicking it into the net? Man, Salah is game!

The first match that did not meet expectations for Amorim because in this match Manchester United faced a team that was at the bottom of the standings but they failed to take advantage of the opportunity to collect 3 points. It was indeed not an easy job for Amorim to immediately bring victory because he needed time to adjust the strategy and find the ideal formation to bring changes to Manchester United's playing style.

From the match statistics, of course IPS was able to keep up with the course of the match by successfully recording 11 attacks and Manchester United also recorded 11 attacks. Yes, the two teams only differed in ball possession and that was very natural because Manchester United's strength was stronger than theirs. When Liverpool took the lead, I expected Southampton's performance to go downhill from there, but I was wrong. I was genuinely surprised when they equalised but shocked when they took the lead. They didn't make things easy for Liverpool.

Sala has been a very underrated player. He has been very consistent every year since he joined Liverpool but somehow people still debate if he's a world-class player. If he was in a team like Barca or Madrid he could be in ballon d'or conversations. Vinicius didn't do more than him individually and he feels entitled to the Ballon d'Or. I've always rated Salah. Even last season when Liverpool didn't have a good season, individually, Salah had a very good season.

I have honestly thought that this would again be more of a clinical win for Liverpool as Southampton has the worst attacking line in the Premier League and Liverpool is very good at scoring one or two goals and then leave it as that, but maybe they weren't seeing so much resistance coming their way. Good fight by Southampton, but checking the other stats does paint a different picture Southampton had 7:27 shots that game. I guess they got lucky every now and the to not concede more goals. But they took it to the limit and Liverpool needed the penalty as a decider. It is a tough league no matter whether the opponent is the last or the first or in the midfield of the standings.

Maybe it's still the beginning, and Amorim is looking for the right strategy for formation. We all know that Amorim is still adapting to the club. He doesn't know about who is worthy of the position right now. As we look at how he put Rushford as a single attacker, I think it's a bold decision to decide he's there because he had been there before, but it's not so effective. But Amorim did it last night and successfully made a quick goal in 1st half. I think the problem he faces now is the defender because many of their main defenders are injured, so it is conceded on 1st half.

About Van Nistelrooy, I haven't been able to compare it yet when he was a first-time trainer at the club. let's take a look again on the next match.

Fvck! Why do we have people that look at things this way? For goodness sake, some couple players are still recovering who took part of the major training sections which was just two days with them. Stop the comparison with Ruud van Nistelrooy honestly,  I read somethings on here and I dislike the way some people see things. Ruud ain't the best choice for Manchester United,  all he did was go back to the traditional british style of play utilising same formation by Ole Gunner Solskjear.

You can't control how others think sadly. I also think it's premature to say anything about Amorim. Some people say things like this for banters, but there's no shortage of people who truly believe they can see the future after seeing 1 bad match from a new manager. Heck, some even went as far as saying that Sporting is probably a good squad while Amorim is just an average coach. I can see why some influencers say dumb stuff because they want engagement, not sure about how others think though.

I agree that Man City is not really regressing, it's just that with Liverpool back on track and in their most consistent form, so Man City existence looks like it is regressing, when in fact it is not too significant. Regardless I'm quite happy with Liverpool's comeback as a reminder to Man City that they can't hold onto the Premier League forever.

I agree with you. But compared to last season City only got 3 defeats from 38 matches. But this season they have already got 3 defeats from 12 matches. This shows that they have experienced a decline in performance this season compared to last season. But on the other hand Liverpool's improved performance is also the reason why City potentially cannot defend their title this season. Liverpool is really consistent and has only got 1 defeat. I don't know if City has experienced a significant decline in performance or not. But as far as I remember in the last decade their worst result was getting 6 defeats at the end of the season. And if this season they get more than 6 defeats then we can conclude that City is currently having problems in their performance.

It's obvious that City is doing worse than last year, but nothing is over yet, they still have a chance. Obviously a lesser chance there is no denying that and there is a big possibility of them losing, but that doesn't mean that we are going to see this changing anytime soon, we are going to see them still be a good team and will do fine.

I believe the best chance we have right now is having some good return on the current situation. Just focus on what you can do and you should be making a good return without a doubt. City is still the best team and they are going to be fine, they won't be checking anything further with testing, I am pretty sure they are going to just end up doing what they know best and go with Peps tactics.

I can particularly enjoying how Liverpool played especially their attackers. They looked so clinical, fast, and sharp, but i can't do the same with their defenders. Their defense was too shaky, and way too many mistakes that costed them 2 goals, but win still a win.

I hope they're gonna working on their defense. they looked so defense looked so dreadful, and if it continues, they may be in the serious problem.

Joniboini, I can't lie you've just written down facts. I try to ignore some but some I'm forced to give a response lol. Pay attention to the previous club he came from and how they played likewise the capacity of those players, you will see that they're different. Having young and energetic players in midfield helped Ipswich against man utd aged midfielders who aren't pacy and energetic. I'm keen to see the next game when Kobbie mainoo, Mason Mount, Ugarte and a much younger defender in place for Johnny Evans.

Manchester United played a draw in their match today. I was expecting a win from Manchester United, but all they could get is a draw, even when playing against a weak team. Seriously, this is not really a good start for Amorim. Manchester United is just supposed to let some players leave. Manchester United’s problem is not only the coach, some of the players are also supposed to be blamed.

Manchester United players played like they were 16-year-old children against Ipswich yesterday. Manchester United were very lucky to get a point against Ipswich yesterday because ever since the match started Ipswich dominated the game, and it was as if Ipswich players had more power than Manchester United players in the game, which gave them the upper hand to win the game, but thanks to Onana's great performance yesterday that stopped Ipswich from taking the 3 points home. Amorim tried with his tactics yesterday for Manchester United, but anyone who watches the match will know that it's not Amorim's fault that Manchester United were held to a draw by Ipswich. I will put the blame on Erik Ten Hag because he brought in so many players to Manchester United, which can't help the club compete for anything they involved themselves with. Amorim needs to be patient with the present Manchester United squad till the January transfer window opens so that he can sign some good players who will help him function well at Manchester United.

And how is the result now?  The first fact of Man City defeat must be acknowledged, second 5x is a big blow that Pep Guardiola is not always in a comfortable position as a great coach, third when there is a reason Man City lost because the player was injured is no longer reasonable. Tottenham counter attack is very cool, fast and effective so that Man City players are overwhelmed to deal with it.

Could it be because Pep Guardiola has been at City too long? 
He was not like that at his previous two clubs, Barcelona and Bayern Munich which he left in good condition if I remember correctly, and he only lasted less than five seasons.
This defeat is not something that City usually gets, especially at the Etihad Stadium, maybe this is a sign for him to leave England to take a break before deciding on a new club to coach.

This is probably right, Pep Guardiola has been playing basically the same strategy for a long time, and because of that many people figured it out. But I also believe that they need to revamp the squad as well. Like for example Kyle Walker had one of the worst games of his career, he wasn't even running for it, he wasn't even attempting to defend, he looked incredibly tired and not willing to play, and when players are playing that way, you end up seeing bad results.

They need to revamp so many of the players, I would start from goalkeeper, ederson is fine but they need someone younger and better, but I would change like half of the starting eleven, they are just not that good anymore, they are not talentless, they just don't want to play that's it. They need to get players with some hunger on their eyes, so that they could do fine. Savinho for example is one of their best. Because he is new, he wants to win, but rest do not look like that, even Haaland isn't playing that great but he is Haaland, so he is still a great player and scoring bunch of goals normally.

Initially, Liverpool were predicted to get an easy win over Southampton, but the reality on the field did not match the predictions off the field. Liverpool had to work hard to get the win. They were 2-1 down before finally managed to finish the match with a 2-3 win.
Liverpool are increasingly solid at the top of the standings with an 8-point gap over Man City in second place. Actually in that match Ipswich was a better side than Manchester united and they had deserved to win the game but unfortunately had to settle down with a draw. Base on stats they were better at shots on expected goals but they wasted almost all chances. It was really an intensed match especially for the red devils which means the strategy of the new coach and the players haven't blend yet.

But however, I think I have to agree with you on this about the players performance which would really need some changes in the team with some players having to leave the club as one of the remedy for the new coach to start getting progressive results with less struggles on winning matches especially against weak teams.
