Enzo Maresca was not in the coaching stand today and we had to watch the former Chelsea goalkeeper, Willy Caballero leading the club to victory. Three points secured at Stamford Bridge in the early kick-off today. It was indeed a crucial winning for Chelsea and they're now stand out to be competitive for the top four spot this season. What else matters for the Blues other than securing a spot for UCL? Everton couldn't penetrate the defendlines of the host this season, their efforts was to no avail with pressing positioning guided by the club. David Moyes couldn't pull any stunt to draw points with Chelsea and we know it's no good deal for the club. Chelsea having to watch themselves coming out stronger and dominating clubs, they're elite and competitive.

A deserving MOTM performance from our most disappointing goalie. Sanchez did save us today's, good job from the fact that I'm among those who criticise him when he makes his costly mistakes. Good performance, I hope he can continue with such form at least.

The backside was excellent today even with Trevor Chalobah good contribution for the goal scored by Jackson, he gave good tackle to get the ball which Enzo Fernandes took well  to Jackson, who made a clinical shot for the goal.

I'm surprised we were able to keep a goal lead from around middle of the first half to the end of the match, I can't remember when last we did this season.

i hope he can continue with this performance till we sell him in the summer

And to be honest, I thought Everton would be a menace like they always do but unfortunately today Chelsea put their act together and managed a lone goal from Jackson to secure a precious 3 points of the afternoon.

It's a good win for Chelsea. Although they won it with narrow score, three points are still three points. It can't be debated. They looked so decent after Lavia back to the squad, and noticing how their game play is totally working when they have him on the pitch.
He makes team so much better with his good passing. He brings something different to the club, and helped a lot in doing rotation. No doubt he got subbed off to avoid his potential injury by playing longer.
I'm also noticing how some players like Chalobach is stepping him. He's MOTM in this game and deserve a spot in the main squad.
Their overall performance are good, but their journey to compete for the UCL spot is getting even tougher with Newcastle successfully farmed three points. It's not ended yet.

We are at the end of the month and nothing on the radars.
Anyway the fight for the top4 is very interesting with  potentially 4-5 teams in the fight for the last 2 spots.
All assuming with Arsenal and Livepool easy qualified.

This long awaited judgement could be coming after the league ends so that they know what is to come in the next season...if say that's deducting points from them and missing out on some European action (champions league) or maybe some kind of hefty fine for  unfair financial play etcetera  from how they have been playing, I think they know what's coming!!

And strangely Man City can always escape sanctions many times, maybe in the past you have also heard of similar cases but in the end Man City just escaped, somehow this can happen in the Premier League which is notoriously strict. Could it be because of a special reason because Man City's violations are not just 1 or 2 cases, especially regarding FPP. We can also see it at the end of the season that they can escape for the umpteenth time.

Are you guys really surprised? UEFA is tough only toward small teams, they never really go after clubs like City and PSG despite the fact that everybody knows they cheated getting false sponsorships in order to be able to spend more money. But then UEFA have no problems excluding some team because of a few million euros of debt. Both UEFA and FIFA are extremely corrupted organizations.

From your comment and the quote you were responding to, it’s not difficult to see that you’re discussing the Chelsea game and Jackson’s performance.

The Chelsea win was unexpected for me, Everton has been such a fighter in the league of recent and Chelsea haven’t been what we hoped it to be in recent times. Still, they managed to get themselves 3 points in this round, good one.

Man, Chelsea - Everton game was so boring.    But still glad to see Chelsea winning it by 1-0. Every single point counts on the final weeks.

They are in 5th place with the same points as Forest. But of course Forest still have a game in hand. They are going to play on May 1st vs Brentford home.

They will probably get back to 4th place after it. As I said before I don't believe in Chelsea for their CL goal much. Simply because of Palmer's playing poorly and its affect on the whole lineup.

Well i know its not a proper premier league match, but damn, Crystal Palace reaching a final..... just incredible, one of the most not important team in the league.

About today matches, not so much to say because they were all easy games for the teams involved in the fight for european spots, only Chelsea one has a difficult one, and they won 1-0 against Everton.

I think for some, the forum is a place to interact and learn, but for others, anything else happening in here doesn't resonate with their interest/ thoughts. They sure would love to participate in these discussions just like everyone else, but maybe they're scared of doing too much?

That didn't really get to me though, but who else saw that little hesitation from Pedro Neto when Palmer rushed and got the ball from him? Pedro felt left out as COLD swayed the ball in another direction which led to the offside goal. What a waste of opportunity that was!

It was an even game and Everton had a few great chances but they're coming home with nothing, as it was Chelsea who scored the only goal.
Those 3 points put Chelsea in the 5th place, at least until tomorrow. Now the pressure is on Nottm Forest, who are hosting Brentford (currently ranked 11th) tomorrow.
Forest's performance have been a bit disappointing recently, with losses to Villa and Everton. They won their last game against Tottenham, but they let the London team dominate the game and Nottm only made 4 shots on goal, which was pretty low even taking into account their unconventional playing style.

Liverpool are all set to celebrate the championship tomorrow. All they need is at least one point against Tottenham to seal the deal.

I know that life is not fair, what bothers me is that UEFA pretend to be the same for everyone when in reality everyone knows it's not like that. They are just like mafia but at this point I think many clubs are even afraid to go against them, just look what happened when they wanted to make their own super league, it was just treat after treat.

The only goal of the match came in the 27th minute from Nicolas Jackson, who met Enzo Fernandez's pass.
With this victory, Chelsea increased their points to 60 and moved into 4th place ahead of Nottingham Forest on goal difference. Chelsea have secured their place in the Champions League qualification.
Everton are a team with good blocking defence, but they were unable to prevent Jackson's goal.
Chelsea have been much better this season compared to previous seasons, and although they are not in the championship standings, being in 4th place shows that the team is getting better. Although Everton's defense is good to some extent, they were quite bad in attack.

Chelsea played well and it was a win they deserved.

It's kinda funny when you say that arsenal is still fighting for the premier league because that's a lost course seeing that Liverpool are just one victory away from actually making it official and let me ask if you see Liverpool losing or not winning any more game from their remaining games of the season because that's definitely not happening and even arsenal themselves know this and that's why Arteta will also put more focus on the champions league.

In sports, you don't assume that a competition is over until it is confirmed that nothing can be done about it. If Liverpool is one win away to become the English Premier League champions, it will be wrong for Arsenal to stop fighting for the trophy. Nothing is impossible in football, you might think that Liverpool will win all their games, but this might not be the case at the end. So the fight for the EPL is still on. Anyway, if I were the coach of the Gunners, the club's entire focus would be on the Champions League since we are already in the semifinals.

Nottingham Forest's next two games will be against Brentford and Crystal Palace. While Chelsea will be playing  Liverpool and Newcastle. Chelsea has more difficult games since they will still play Manchester United. But both Chelsea and Nottingham will meet in the last of the EPL. So it is possible that the game will determine who plays in the UCL.

I wasn't able to watch the complete game but I did witnessed the build up to that Nicholas Jacksons goal yesterday. That goal shouldn't have count because it was a clear foul and error officiating from the official's during the game.  Well,  they need all the three points they can gather 'cause the next fixtures are gon be hell I promise. I'm certain Forest would be back to the top 4. And Cole Palmer? The best player in the Premier League Competition hasn't scored after 17 games for his club. ( Ice Cold 🥶) this shit hits when depend much on a player.

My prediction is that we will see the same result as what table is showing now. I prefer to have Newcastle, City and Chelsea in UCL instead of Forest. I know you were not feeling satisfied enough with Chelsea's performance, then put them as underdog, but i think they will qualify.
Playing at Europa league is already good enough for Nottingham forest. As long as City can beat Forest, i think Newcastle and Chelsea's positions are fine.

My gut's telling me that Manchester united would win the game but their position is something that's a little discouraging and the odds are also in favour of Bournemouth to win but as you know it's not always about the odds... Manchester united's performance this season is absolute garbage, they have been dealing with a lot of issues in the previous seasons but I think this one is the worst, can't believe that even Bournemouth is doing better than them..well, if I don't give them a straight win I wll just give them a handicap of one goal.. I'm not sure they will win but be expecting goals from united in this match

Tottenham are at a very low position on the table and they have had quite a bad run this season, the point difference between them and Liverpool is enormous, this is going to be a walkover for Liverpool. My prediction is Liverpool to win and over 1.5 goals in full time. The game between Bournemouth and united isn't really certain about who wins, although Bournemouth is the better side her but Manchester united have been lagging behind so they would fight hard today. It's better to go with over 1.5 prediction in this game cause anybody can win

I think since Liverpool already won the League, there is nothing to play for again same as Tottenham. I think the game would be a boring watch as opposed to the 6;3 win by Liverpool in their first league meeting. Leaning towards a 1:0 Liverpool win.

Yeah... Cole Palmer is really not in good shape at all lately.    He is rarely making a goal contribution.

I don't want to be too harsh on him truthfully. He is only 22 in the end. He is a super talent without doubt also.

But Chelsea don't have a good team performance. They are too dependent on him. Enzo Maresca should make some changes in his tactics if he wants to do more in the league.
