Robin Van Persie back in 2019 said Arsenal cannot win the title under Arteta as the manger, he said Arsenal needs a proven coach that has won multiple trophies and that manger will instill winning mentality in his players not what Arteta is currently doing and even if he stays in Arsenal for ten years, he will still not win the league. According to him, he said he doesn't hate the Arsenal manager but he needs to hear the truth. This very narrative about Arteta not going to win the league even after ten years was supposed to change this season but from the look of things, it looks like the ex Arsenal skipper is right but I hate for it to be true because Arsenal is supposed to win it this season.

I'm done defending Mikel Arteta, just keen to see how it will play out successfully.

These words from Persie are facts, they should have won that game against Manchester United but Manchester United mentally defeated them with that comeback. Even core Arsenal fans know quite well he is missing something that should be done. The management spent quite a lot, he should payback by winning the Premier league competition.

At least people are finally realizing that Mikel arteta cannot lead arsenal to glory, because left for me, I stop believing in him when they threw away the last opportunity to win the Epl title they would have won to Manchester City, since then, I swore never to take them serious until they have won something and changes the narrative I have towards them.

All season I have been saying this that I will not take them too serious until they start the being consistent in the defining moment of the season, because over the past few seasons, they always activate their inconsistent mode anytime it has gotten to this period of the season, so I believe that if they can be consistent during this defining moment, that is when they are ready to win the league because Manchester City that is their closest rivals is not that too good to win this title away from arsenal that are too shy to win any major trophy, so if for any reason they lost this one to Manchester City, then it would be fair that Mikel arteta should be replaced, because a winner doesn't need up to seven seasons to win a league title.

I think it's high time the management say goodbye to Arteta, he's too in expense to mange this club , he has spent so much money in five years without winning anything. Arsenal needs a manager that has won trophies and experienced. The potentials are there in the players but they lack a good coach.
This season is likely to be Arteta's last as Arsenal manager. Management has given him so much time and spent a lot of money on quality players, as Arteta desired, but the reality is that Arteta hasn't been able to deliver major trophies for Arsenal. I'm sure next season Arsenal will look for an experienced manager who can deliver major trophies, as the squad they have is capable of competing for titles in all competitions.

Arsenal did a very bad thing by playing a 2-2 draw with Wolves, and their fans should not console themselves by the fact that they are still at the top of the league standings because if Manchester City should win against Newcastle United, Arsenal hope of winning the league title this season will be cut short. Newcastle United won Manchester City in their first game this season in the premier league but after Manchester City had two easy victories against Newcastle United in the league cup, i think Newcastle United will not be a difficult opponent for Manchester City.

Manchester City will not miss this opportunity, as they will want to also prove that starting the league poorly doesn’t mean you can’t end the season with a trophy. If Arsenal are the favourites to win the trophy, Arsenal are really a disappointment, no doubt on that. I never expected a draw in that game, in short, I expected more than two goals from Arsenal in that game, but unfortunately, they were not able to even win the game. It’s really disappointing to them, although Manchester City can’t wait to see themselves at the top of the table.
Manchester City have not had a good start to the season and I thought they might not be able to secure their position between 1 and 4 in the points table but they have come back strongly and now they are competing very hard with Arsenal to regain the top position in the points table. We can see that at the moment there is a four point gap between Manchester City and Arsenal but the plus point for Manchester is that Manchester City has played one less match than Arsenal. If Manchester City can secure a win in their 27th match then the gap between Manchester City and Arsenal will be 1 point and I think Arsenal will not be able to hold the top position of the table for long with this 1 point gap.

Arteta maybe took Arsenal to the next level but the team still doesn't carry themselves like champions. After scoring so early in the match they should have ramped up the pressure and rattled the opponent but they failed to do so. They're still making the same basic mistakes.
it’s becoming a pattern... starting the season fast and clinical, only to fizzle out around this time. Sure, the team improves every year but nobody has the patience to wait ten years for a title. Europa League finals, Champions League semi finals and league runners up spots are all well and good but since they can’t seem to sell players effectively, Arsenal currently has the highest net expenditure. Even if City spends more in total they are in a much better position than Arsenal because of their player sales.

Well if Arteta can deliver at least the premier league then he might be given another shot to remain at the club, though I know a lot of fans will not want him at the club. I have said it before that they will be a way Arsenal will
Win the league and Arteta will not get the credit and it looking that way already. How can you want to be a 9 points lead at this stage of the season.

With just less than a dozen game to play in the premier league, at this point Manchester city are looking more like a favorite to win the league, they have less of big match to play and most of their game will
Be played at Ethihad so they have a big advantage on that.

Now a big pressure will be on Arsenal if Manchester city can beat Newcastle united on Saturday, they would reduce the gap to 2 and Arsenal will be in a north London derby on Sunday when they face Tottenham and after that they will play chelsea again at home, Big fixtures for them and Manchester city will definitely want to take big advantage of that.

I don't know the connection between Mikel Arterta and Arsenal because I don't understand how a manager who hasn't won any reasonable trophies for a good six season always gets his contract increase by the board management. Perhaps, Arsenal intentionally want to finish second again this season from what they are doing so far. The Manchester United game is a fair one in my opinion since United is considered as a big team too but what about the Wolves? Arsenal had early goal and all the players went to sleep until they allowed Wolves to score before they wake up. It's all Arterta fault because there's no big match ahead but he keeps resting the hitmen on the bench for God knows reason. A relegation team will definitely keep traumatising them every season until he learns the hard way.

Van Persie has the right to say whatever he wants to say, but I stand fully with Arteta and I still believe that he will lead Arsenal to the Premier League trophy this season and he is not only going to win that, but at least to trophies this season. Talking about coaches that has won trophies and the winning mentality,  they all started with no trophy,  so why does Van Persie thinks that Arteta can not win trophies,  despite how he has improve the team and now they are in the conversation of winning the trophy,  that in it self is an improvement already. It's a very bad result against Wolves but I don't think that is the nel of the season. Every team drop form in one time every season and also i don't think Manchester City can win all the matches without dropping points, so I don't know why Arsenal fans are panicking. Like I said Arsenal will still win the Premier league and I am not changing on it. They still remain the best team in the EPL, and one of the best in Europe.

It is early to conclude that arsenal wouldn't win any major trophies this season. Arsenal is a tight corner now and Arteta is doing what he can for the team to win a major trophy. Arteta can't end this season without a trophy because arsenal wouldn't surely win at least one major trophy. Arsenal will likely win the premier league title. Manchester city won't win it even though the point gaps between them is small. If arsenal can afford not to drop points any further, manchester city will be behind in points.

Five years passed, hundreds million wasted, and no trophy. So it makes no sense to keep Arteta much longer while he still gives nothing. I believe he's gonna be Wenger in the making, but in much worse form since he never won major trophy.
Sometimes, you can be patience, but patience has the limit.  Roll Eyes

Only major trophy? It seems tha any trophy instead? Although no, I see that Arteta as a coach won the FA Cup and the Super Cup twice. Objectively speaking, this is very little, even though Arsenal often won silver and played in finals. Arsenal are currently priced at 1.58, still in a good position to take the title. But I don't even want to think about what will happen if they lose the title. They're already a meme club, could the situation get worse?  Grin

Mikel Arteta's future at Arsenal is in jeopardy. He reportedly has until the end of the season to keep his job. The club's management seems to have grown tired of Mikel Arteta's coaching tenure and even wants Arsenal to lift the trophy immediately. Arteta may try to lead Arsenal to the championship. But the challenges they face are still complicated as they still have to play several matches in the next rounds. On the other hand Arsenal has not won the Premier League title for a very long time. And I think it is indeed time now for Arsenal to win the title. Arsenal's current position is quite convincing to win the Premier League by having earned 58 points so far and even their position in terms of points is quite far ahead of several teams below them in the standings. But Arsenal could be overtaken or even fall behind if they fail to perform well in their next few matches. Their recent performances have been questioned after draws against Wolverhampton and even Brentford. And their performance could decline even further in the next few matches. So let's see how Arsenal fare in their next few matches. Arteta hopefully can win back the hearts of the fans and even the club management until the end of the season.

If Arteta fails to deliver another Premier League trophy, I think Arsenal will become the butt of jokes as a team that doesn't want to win a title. Here, people say Arsenal actually have no intention of winning a trophy. They just wanted to have fun at the start of the season, and then, towards the end of the season, they "allowed" the teams below them to win trophies. In fact, Arsenal have finished second in two consecutive games. Will this be their third season finishing second? If City can beat Newcastle, Arsenal will be under pressure because City are only two points behind Arsenal. One mistake from Arsenal could see City overtake them and become Premier League champions again.

Roll Eyes
I disagree here even I am not Arteta fan, as you can see that Manchester United spent more money for player transfers, player salary, coach contract, salary, compensation during the same period but it's clearly that Arteta has gained more success with Arsenal recent seasons than Manchester United with several latest coaches.

Latest seasons without titles, especially several consecutive seasons with a runner-up position in Premier League is disappointed with Arsenal fans but they must recall just some seasons ago, they even failed to reach to top four. With less finance spent than Manchester United, they already gained more success, and they would feel happy with that. It does not mean they will stop dreaming now, but if anyone accuses Arteta for latest seasons' endings of Arsenal as his main responsibility, I would completely disagree with them.

Incredible how despite all his hard work and how he change the club he didnt win anything and Arsenal failures keep increasing, is crazy to think Manchester United in all this recent years collected much more trophies than them being a complete shit and a spinless team, the more i think about it the more crazy it gets.

It's hard to believe Arsenal dropped two points against Wolves. Being 2–0 up against a team at the bottom of the league and ending up drawing feels embarrassing. It doesn't look like title winning form. If Mikel Arteta fails to deliver the Premier League, then the players also have to take responsibility. At times, they seem to play more to entertain than to truly kill off games and secure wins.
Still, Arsenal are 5 points clear, although Manchester City have a game in hand. City still need to beat Newcastle United to close the gap. The title race is definitely on, but Arsenal are still in pole position.

Here is the fixtures from the weekend...

Arsenal are going to face Tottenham away after getting their 2nd draw in a row in the league. Technically this is a more difficult match than the Wolves one. But Arsenal really need the win as soon as possible not to mess up more.  Sad

In their previous rendezvous they finished off Tottenham too easily. In that match ended 4-1... Tottenham are still in a horrible condition. I think Arsenal can beat them again with a proper game plan.

But that's only if Arsenal can maintain their points lead. If they continue to draw in the next few games, the points gap with Manchester City will surely narrow, costing them their chance of winning the title this season. So, Arteta must now be very mindful of his strategy, or one small slip-up could be disastrous for them.

I'm mad because of Arteta result with Wolves but common.  Do you know or remember the last time Arsenal had a second place in the Premier league before Arteta came on board. He used to be a player in the club and he has work with Guadiola for years as assistant coach before he decided to transform as a manager himself. Literally, he is competing against his friend and a boss, which means he need to be ahead of him and that's not an easy job to get done.

I will not give up on them yet, there is possibility that Manchester City will do bad later, you never can tell. When Arsenal draw, Manchester City tend to win their own week match and lose the next one while Arsenal win their next match. Both team doesn't have consistency and that is the only saving grace but there is for Arsenal. However, if Manchester City decided not to fool around anymore, then I think the job is over for Arteta, they have to come back next season.

I think it's high time the management say goodbye to Arteta, he's too in expense to mange this club , he has spent so much money in five years without winning anything. Arsenal needs a manager that has won trophies and experienced. The potentials are there in the players but they lack a good coach.

I also agree with anyone proposing Arsenal to say goodbye to Arteta at this stage. Whatever it is, Arsenal has tried enough to have been so patient to keep working with Arteta in expecting good outcomes but each time the team goes, they still find it difficult to win at the top stage thereby making their efforts go in futility. I really wish this should be the last time the club will take this from Arteta and should be working out possible plans to say goodbye to him as this will be the sixth round of seasons with no single title in the name of the team. When we thought Arteta was going to bring smile into the face of many Gunners with the premier league title, we began to see errors like the one we saw yesterday when the club could have easily took their three points home with a wider margin to the City guys. But ended with just a point which gives the City more chances of going above them in the league standing any time soon.

This is a simple opportunity for Manchester City if they can beat Newcastle, i don't need to doubt their competence, when it comes to dangerous moment in the league race, i strongly believe Manchester City to keep their performance hundred percent over Arsenal, today's game proved it to be correct.

Arsenal should get worried, Arteta especially because it is now known to happen very often in each season, losing the touch when the season is getting interesting, at this point small clubs are going to become a big heat, we saw it in the game today.
Well, I don't know if you saw the movie Goal! which was set in Newcastle a few years ago. From then on, I developed a great affection for that team, so now I support them. But it's like Ryan Reynolds' team, how can you not support that team? Deadpool, lol, The same thing happens to me with Newcastle With Arsenal, things are different; they're in first place, but be careful, they have to win everything that comes their way.
