Chelsea scored only  4 minutes into the match. Joao pedro scored the goal from a pass from pedro neto. After taking the lead in the fourth minute, they could  not score another goal in the entire match. This is certainly chelsea's attacking weakness. They needed to  play more aggressively in the home match and should  have secured the win by a big margin. on the other hand, burnley are a bit lucky so there's no denying it . A draw at home against a team who is 19th on the table was not something that I expected from Chelsea.
And Fofona is getting a lot of heat from Chelsea fans for his reckless challenge that got him sent off, others are blaming Rosenoir for his game management. In my opinion, the players  are to blame. The entire defense line was poor,  the offensive line wasn’t any better.  The game would have been finished if Cole Palmer had scored to give Chelsea a two goal lead.

They play Arsenal next week, and the bad news is that Chelsea cannot defend set-pieces. I’m curious to see the odds bookmakers are going to give them.

I would, why not? He wasted 5 years just to win FA cup, it's not worthy with the amounts he already spent since he came. To compare with Ange at his worst season at spurs still won europa league, does it make sense to keep Arteta wasted 5 or 6 years just to win FA cup?

I don't see a concrete reason to defend him. He coached a big club. So the target has to be big too. Unable to achieve it has to lead to the sack of him.

This is why people should not be in charge of things they do not understand. I can't claim this to be true, but at the same time we need to realize there are other teams that spent hundreds of millions of euros and still didn't reach second place either.

At the very least, while Arsenal fails to win, at least they end up second place, if they lose this year too, that would be four years in a row second place. You do not know if Arteta wasn't there, maybe they wouldn2t even be in top four ,how can you guarantee that they would have won?

To be honest I didn't believed for ones that Chelsea would play draw with Burnley because of Chelsea position because any mistake can deprive them of going to champions league next season and right now if Liverpool should win today they will be a point behind Chelsea and making the race tough for them and Chelsea and if Manchester united should win there next match they will be 3 points ahead of Chelsea. Chelsea next game with Arsenal is going to be a strong one and even though Chelsea drew yesterday I don't think Arsenal will be able to win them so easily.

I am on the side that supports all efforts to win a trophy, and it would be a waste if all those efforts went to waste without winning a single trophy in six seasons.

Chelsea are obviously not the team they think they are. After spending millions in the transfer window, they still cannot be considered contenders for the league title. Their ambitions do not exceed finishing in the top four of the table. I’d love to hear what their fans think about their performance in recent years even though I haven’t noticed many Chelsea fans in this thread, my conversations usually rotate amongst Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool fans.

I really don't blame the Chelsea players, I think the coach is experimenting, he doesn't really seem to have a stable team at the moment and at each point he usually alters the team depending on the kind of opponent he is up against and this might be the reason why Chelsea's performance isn't consistent as expected, all the team requires is just a little time to understand the coach's philosophy, perhaps next season might be a better one for players and the new coach.

Let's wait for what Arsenal will do against Tottenham away. By the way there is a Forest - Liverpool match ongoing now. I won't be able to say good things about Liverpool so far... Their minds don't seem to be focused on the match. Forest are quite likely to score and not lose this one.

Arsenal game today should be fully back with trophy mentality because anything that leads to draw or even lossing is nothing to hope about the trophy this season, my point is personal but the sudden slack and drawing nature of them this time the needed more force is alarming, Manchester city wining is a strong indication that the trophy mentality is fully imbue in the team, that is while I have passion for Chelsea the position in which arsenal have gotten since the beginning of the season topping the table and about to lose what their hope is built upon show how weak they are towards lifting trophy of this kind stand to be corrected as my opinion.

You made a good observation over the years. I was telling a friend that I don't see Arsenal winning the title this season because from records, arsenal is always the opposite of Manchester city this period. It has happened several seasons and notably the season arsenal topped the table for over 290 days just for Manchester city to win all their remaining games and lift the title. Arsenal usually drop points this period repeatedly unlike Manchester city who would hardly get a draw this period.

Liverpool is having a very bad moment. Goalless so far with Nottingham forest. I hope Liverpool doesn't loose at the end maybe they will manage one point. EPL is very crazy, a team you underrated will always pull up a suprise in this second half of the season especially against the biggest teams.

City wins Newcastle game. They shorten the gap to Arsenal by only two points remaining. They played so clinical during the first half with O'reilly scored two goals. However, their attack look disjoined during the 2nd half. They might make it 3 or 4 consider they get so many chances to score.
However, it's all gone due to the greediness of their players by not to pass it to their teammates. But yeah, so far so good since they still secure three points.

So this makes it clear if elephant may be fallen again. It's caused by City to have easy fixtures to come against 14th club or below while Arsenal fight strong teams in a row. So they have chance to take the lead in the coming weeks.
I guess the title race is already 50:50 with City's win against Newcastle. Do you agree?

This is where City are dangerous and deadly to oppositions, they can't drop point now because they know they are very close to catching up to Arsenal who misuse their opportunities, is so sad that the fans of Arsenal won't be celebrating anything call EPL title this season again.

Yeah. City has always been dangerous. I remember with Klopp's quote said "having City behind you like you're chasing by the wild dog. You keep running, and a slip may cost your life". Many were underrated City during the early season performance, while the real competition for the title has always begun at mid - late season.
So i won't be surprised if City lift the trophy at the end of season. They start to show consistency in winning any game. Just another win at home against Arsenal. It will change the patter of title chaser.

This is the reason why i like EPL the most. It's caused by the competition is always very intense, and anything can happen. Normally, it's very difficult to chase the leader when you are 7 points gap behind, but it's possible in EPL.

Surprising to see Liverpool entertained a narrow escape in today's game against Nottingham forest, all thanks to mac Allister for his die minutes goal which know one expected including me. But telling ourselves the truth,  I was so disappointed In Liverpools performance today in the game, they played with total weakness and know focus of gaining consistency even when they had the opportunity to make things right.  I think they need to work on there mentality and culture so they will understand that know matter how hard or though things are there is still a second chance.  I know with there performance last season all believed this season will be there's but all changed and now they find it difficult making top four in the Premier league table,  which is not enough reason to lose focus.

Mac Allister gave Liverpool the hope of finishing in the top 4 after a dramatic late goal at City ground to keep Liverpool tied with same points as Chelsea and Manchester United. Although Manchester United is yet to play their week 27 match. As things stands Liverpool and Chelsea fans will be praying for Manchester United to drop points so they will all remain in same point ahead of week 28 matches. If Manchester United win, which I believe they will win, Chelsea will be the loser of week 27 among the teams that are hunting for the top 4 finish.

Honestly this season already feels different.

Clubs spending like a bull market again — everyone convinced this signing will change everything. Then 5 matches later… panic selling in the fanbase, manager out, project dead.

Football fans and markets behave the same way:
people don’t actually watch the long game — they watch candles.

Last year everyone laughed at teams building slowly.
Now those same teams look stable while the “instant success” squads keep resetting every 6 months.

Question to the thread:
Do you think modern football still rewards patience… or has it turned into pure short-term momentum?

Liverpool went to the edge and won this match because we saw Mac Allister scored the winning goal in added time. If you look closely, when this game between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest was going into extra time, no one thought that Mac Allister would be able to perform magic. Honestly, the mentality of both teams in this match was at a high level and they had a hunger to win, which made this match very enjoyable for all of us. So it seems to me that Liverpool's hero in this match is Mac Allister, as they get past Forest, even  i congratulate Liverpool because Chelsea, Manchester United and they are already on the same points.

This is the reason why I was not surprised with their performance because they are used to it, and the opposite is Arsenal who have shown sign of the decline when the season is coming to an end. Arsenal has failed for almost four consecutive seasons and now they are in a verge of collapsing. I don't still have hope because they lost against the weak team what if they play against the top team it will definitely be a disaster for them.

Mac Allister as finally rescued Liverpool now, they have equal points with Chelsea and Manchester United, right now battle continue because they will be fighting for the top four now.
