What  diaster of a round it was this one for the Premier League teams on the Champions League i cant believe what we saw, Newcastle losing horrible against Barcelona, City no chance against Real Madrid and Chelsea also losing horrible against PSG, Totenham was a disaster in the first game so in the yesterday game they cant do so much about it.

I feel like the "best" league is on to see and not in real performance. Instead of best is better to say most fun.
Liverpool and Arsenal are the only teams qualifying in EPL
but since the start of the season
The only team that have been remotely consistent in EPL is Arsenal
The others are having a poor season and performance mediocre
Even now we are not even confident Liverpool would make the next round.
Next round when they will be up against PSG. That should be the end of the road for them, judging by their current performance against the team they will play against.

However, Arsenal seems to be the Premier League side that can advance to semi finals after winning Sporting

So as it stands now, just one Premier League club is left in the UCL. The remaining ones were beaten badly with very disgraceful scorelines. Honestly, they did not represent the league well enough if you ask me. At least they should have put up a more competitive fight, even if they still lost in the end, it would have been less embarrassing. Even Pep, who we thought would have gone a bit further in the competition with City, just disappointed everyone.
Hey mate,
Get your facts well.

There are two English Premier league teams in the champions league;

Arsenal and Liverpool.

And I assure you that this two are going far. One would definitely be in the finals.

It is a good idea to get De Zerbi as a new coach is Tottenham Spurs, he is a good manager who has succeed in many clubs, he has coached several small clubs and turn them to one of the best teams in the world, he can handle those players who are not ready to die for the club, but I am still thinking that he will not accept the job because every coach that accept the job end up like he is not a good coach, Tottenham spurs is a club thy the management are not serious.

I don’t think it’s that much of a good idea, Tottenham Hotspur has been in the business of hiring and firing coaches as they want, Roberto De Zerbi is decent coach but I’m not sure he’s what Tottenham needs at the moment.
They need a well experienced and versatile coach who can handle both the pressure and the dressing room(very important)

What haven't they [Spurs] tried to make the Club stronger than they are now? Is employing a new Manager and planning on sacking him the next 2 weeks, I'm sure they tried that or is it the one that a new manager would sign a new contract and they sack him...this club is going through what we can't explain because they have been hiring and sacking since the results are not come...Is the current coach Igor Tudor not good enough for the club? Or is De Zerbi the man that will uplift the club and drag them out from the relegation zone?
Despite Tottenham hotspur not getting the results they wanted, the owners of Tottenham hotspur have the club at heart and they are putting good efforts for Tottenham hotspur to improve their performance and get out of the relegation threatening zone. Igor Tudor managed to win 1 match, draw 1 match, and losses 4 matches since he became the head coach of Tottenham hotspur, and from Igor Tudor's performance Tottenham hotspur might be relegated this season, so Tottenham hotspur owners did

The record of Igor is not impressive at all and I'll still blame some of his losses on absence of important players but yet again, what are the owners doing to maintain their presence in the EPL? Because if they are being demoted to the championship I don't think some players would go with them till whenever they feel like doing the right thing. If the owners care about the club then they should bring in players to also make the fans to be happy if not they'll lose the support of the fans and it will always happen that if they start losing by 2nil at half time let's say 30'mins in any EPL game the fans will keep leaving the stadium. This isn't the path we expected of the club Spurs.

Pep guardiola is an experience manager that have experience this types of situations severally so he is in the best place to talk to his boys to stay focus because they still have some few trophies to play for, like the carabao and the fa cup.

In the league title race, they are already in dip shit because they are currently trailing arsenal by 9 point with a game in hand, so even though they won that game in hand, they will still be six point short, with just seven matches left, so they just have to be more consistent in winning their own games and be hoping that arsenal threw it away, as they always do in previous seasons because I think that if arsenal did not mess up this time around, nothing will stop them from winning the title this season.
I do agree that Pep is a great coach, there is no doubt about that, but for the time being we have to make sure that we are going to see this be a big deal. Pep is not going to leave, City will not fire him, I know that there are talks and rumours about it, after all it's been like what.. 10 years?

Not sure but it's nearly that much and I think it's understandable for City to consider their options but even they will come up with the idea that he is the best they could hope for and won't get any better.

Replacing Pep will be very difficult. City knows they will be ruined if he eventually leaves, he knows his job and understands the club tactics well enough. A man who has won 6 premier league titles and 1 champions league title for a club should be celebrated. From 2020 - 2024 he won four titles in a row making him the first manager in the English league to achieve such success. City will have a very dip thought when making the decision to relieve him of his job. It might take them years to bounce back to top 4 if they make that mistake.

6 premier league teams qualified for the round of 16, and if i were told 2 of the premier league teams would only make it to the champions league quarter finals, i would have doubted it, but today it is only Arsenal and Liverpool that will be playing in the quarter finals amongst the 6 premier league teams that qualified for the round of 16, and it is a big shame for the premier league teams and their supporters. Arsenal is not the only English team that were consistent in the champions league, Liverpool were also consistent in the champions because they win 6 matches and draw 2 matches in the 8 matches they played in the group stage.

All those fan thinking that pep guardiola will be fired at Manchester City are just dreaming because Manchester City really cherish the work he has done over the years at the club, and a bad season or two wouldn't change the fact that he has been a very good coach for Manchester City.

If pep guardiola will be leaving, I think he will do that at the expiration of his contract next season, not this summer because Manchester City hierarchy still believes that he is the right person to turn things around and take the club forward, because the standard he has set is what is working against him, not that Manchester City has been too bad as most folks are making it looks like.

Arsenal have really come a long way this season and I'm surprised that they have survived this long the UCL despite the fact that they are maintaining their position in the premier league as well. The premier league teams used to be the very formidable when competing with other leagues but this season has been completely different, Manchester city lost woefully to bodo glimt and real Madrid, it was disappointing.

Manchester City can't win every single title man, sure they have lost it last year, and looks like there is a big chance that they will lose it this year as well, but it makes no sense that they would keep winning every title.

Let them be, sure they will get better, if they lose next year too then it would be third year in a row and I would understand not wanting Pep in that case, even in that case I personally would keep him and give him time because we know what he is capable of as long as we keep him there, but that doesn't mean that we are going to see issues long term, just short term.

But I get if it doesn't happen next year, just not this year, this year it should be given to him and wait another season before making a decision, he deserved that much time.

Pep Guardiola may be having an unsuccessful season, but that shouldn't erase his past achievements. Achieving success every season isn't easy, and even big teams and big managers can have bad seasons. That's the nature of football.

There's no guarantee the team will be better if Pep Guardiola leaves. I think such a move would be a mistake. Pep Guardiola will quickly bring the team back to its previous standards.

This is what I'm thinking of betting on for the Premier League games this week. Total odds: 3.84.

Quite a bit risky this 2-leg multi is, I know. But Aston Villa need to get a good result not to lose their presence in top 4. Meanwhile West Ham are fighting for getting out of relegation zone.

Tottenham really need to win this game which will give them a big advantage. Because Forest is their direct opponent in this battle for staying in the Premier League.

I guess we're getting a winner of EPL here. Arsenal is almost break their record for being trophyless(EPL) for more than two decades ago. I took Opta's prediction. It says City is only having 2.43% chance to lift the trophy. I know that percentage actually make sense caused by the gap between Arsenal and City is too big to chase.
Many have too much faith in man city, but City is always bottle the games. So City gave Arsenal the easy way to lift the trophy due to the inconsistency.

The nine points behind has to be the exact reason why i see no chance for City to win. Just 4 games more for Arsenal to lock the trophy.

I think Manchester should just forget about the Premier League and focus on the carabao cup and FA Cup, because there is no way they are overtaking Arsenal at the top of the table. I don't care about Pep's experience here, because Arsenal is bent on winning the premier league and I am sure they will win it at thus point.  I don't see Arsenal throwing away this 9 point lead for Manchester City to overtake them. Arsenal is definitely the best and most consistent team in rhe premier league,  so in my opinion the premier league is over.

City have helped Arsenal as much as they could this season.  Smiley City are going through a squad rebuild right now, Guardiola has brought in young players, and it’s clear they are still learning, gaining experience and adapting. In such a state it would be much harder to become champions. And Arsenal have been fortunate that for both City and Liverpool this hasn’t been their best season. Aston Villa simply couldn’t keep up with Arsenal’s pace, and it seems they also lacked the squad depth needed to compete properly in multiple tournaments. So Arsenal will most likely become champions.

Man City have just been knocked out of  the Champions League, and I think that gives them more time to rest than Arsenal, who still have Champions League matches  to play. However, even so, it is still no easy task for Man City to catch up with Arsenal in the Premier League, as their  form has not been great these days.

Man City do have one game in hand, but even if they were to win that match, they  would still be six points behind Arsenal. Even if Man City were to win the match against Arsenal on 19 April, there will  still be a three point gap between them. But if it turns out that Arsenal win that match, I suppose they’ll just have to accept  that the Premier League trophy will go to Arsenal.

I'm not trying to discourage you but I think Tottenham might not win that match but draw, they've been very inconsistent amd would be playing against a team that's also struggling to avoid relegation, Nottingham Forest would be very defensive and I'm not confident that Tottenham's attackers would easily break into their defence and score. Well there's still chances that Tottenham could win, but Nottingham Forest would score.

It is not appropriate to tell a team that has a nine-point difference to forget the Premier title. Don't forget that they can reduce the gap to six points if they can win their outstanding match. If Arsenal fail to maintain this lead, City has the potential to overtake them and win the League. Pep Guardiola's side is out of the UCL, so they can now focus on local competitions. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta's side would have to go play many games which could affect the player's fitness. Arsenal still has seven games to play and they must win at least five to be sure that they will be crowned champions of the EPL.

It would indeed be correct if Man City could already forget about this season's Premier League title; a 6-point gap is very difficult to catch, especially since Arsenal's performance has been very consistent this season. However, if we look at previous seasons, the Arsenal team always slips towards the end of the season, and that is what gives Man City hope to win the Premier League title again. But honestly, I am also a bit pessimistic about that because so far I see Arsenal is still very consistent.

Tottenham hotspur is not in form right now and they have lost plenty of matches lately, so you have the right to tell Velvet78 your opinion in the Tottenham hotspur and Nottingham Forest game because you do not want Tottenham hotspur to spoil his game, but i think you should not worry yourself about Velvet78 playing Tottenham hotspur to win in his game because with the results Tottenham hotspur got against Liverpool in the premier league and against Athletico Madrid in the champions league, i think Tottenham hotspur are starting to put in effort to improve their performance. If i am correct, Tottenham hotspur might win Nottingham Forest.
