I'm happy for Tottenham about this deal. De Zerbi isn't unfamiliar with the PL as you know. But he is taking over a wreck right now.

He has a really difficult job to do in such a short time period first. There are only 7 weeks left in the season. 

If he manages to keep Tottenham secure from relegation then I believe next season will be much better with him.

A wreck could turn genius in the space of 7 days. I'm also excited he could land this deal, now lets see if he brings Mason Greenwood back to the Premier League in the future.

They have quality set of players within the dressing room and squad, just a philosophy lacking to engineer themselves back up and also win games.  He has as well decided to remain if they get relegated. He has shown believe he could come out of the red zones to these players indirectly, they'll kill for him within the next seven (7) fixtures.

I have always said it that Tottenham has the quality of players to challenge for European competition in the premier league, so seeing them battling for relegation is just unbelievable. De Zerbi is a good coach and let hope he can get Tottenham out of This deep shit they are in. I know the goal for him now is to try and escape relegation this season then next season they will at least try and challenge for an European football.

Personally I expect them to relegate, they have not been able to win a game in their last 14 matches in the EPL. The quality of players they have isn't the issue here it's the management tactics. Their next 4 matches will be a strong determinant of their fate in the premier league. At least they will see an opportunity to shine in the EFL for one season before returning to the premier if they make it to the top 3. De Zerbi has little or nothing to do for Spurs this season they just have to dance to the lyrics of the simbal set before them. It's just fate that they have to relegate regardless.

This is probably the best decision Tottenham Hotspur have made in several years, Acerbi  Roberto De Zerbi is a very good pick and the best option to lead the club out their current travails, last season Tottenham struggled to avoid relegation and this season it's obvious they are going the same way. With the games left, Acerbi's  Roberto De Zerbi appointment may help the club escape relegation and also stabilise the team in the upcoming season where he would have the chance to properly address the issues of the club.

Are you guys talking about Francesco Acerbi, the Inter Milan center back? Or is it De Zebri cause that's the current manager of Tottenham and not the name you both mentioned, the Acerbi i know of is still playing and isn't coaching any club nor started a caching career yet, maybe it's a typo error or so.

 De Zebri is a good coach there's no doubt on that but what can't be assured is whether he'll keep Tottenham from being relegated. The team was in a big mess before he got appointed and whether he does or not he shouldn't be blamed in future for not being able to help them avoid relegation.

I never liked Tottenham Hotspur, but I believe that they will not relegate if they can start winning games from here. De zerbi's appointment is definitely going to help on that regard because he is a top coach that knows his job, but even though I don't like them, I still believe that they will not relegate considering the quality players they have in the team.
I agree with you that the management has their own flaws, and they also have to share the blame, but for the team to be fighting relegation is what I can't comprehend because the quality in this Tottenham Hotspur team makes me wonder where they are failing, but I believe that de zerbi is going to help this team with his coaching qualities going forward.

Statistically there's nothing to be proud of from Tottenham's new manager, even though he understands the Premier League and perhaps his biggest challenge will be steering Tottenham away from the relegation zone. This won't be an easy task, as the Tottenham players' mentality needs to be rebuilt to be more motivated, having failed to achieve good results in their previous 14 matches. With seven matches remaining, De Zerbi must be able to make a major change for Tottenham and the demands of climbing out of the relegation zone are no easy task in the current situation.

Any football fan would know De Zerbi and his profile and would definitely agree that Tottenham made the right decision this time in hand picking him for the club manager job. The condition at  Tottenham is a deplorable one with where they have gotten to, therefore it's gonna take football fans with a deep understanding of the condition to not actually throw all blames on De Zerbi should it happened that he is unable to salvage Tottenham from their current pit. But as I have reemphasized before, am optimistic about a positive change of improvement with Tottenham under De Zerbi.

There is clear news about it yet, if this happens, Tottenham will improve their performance and their condition to a great extent. If Tottenham had performed well this season, their coach could have given them better experience in the next matches, increased their performance and strength and their position could have been good. Tottenham has only won a few matches out of the matches they have played and other teams who have played well and strengthened themselves at the top. If this is selected, then their decision will be really right and they will know the result in a few matches. Everyone thinks this about them and if Tottenham strengthens itself, it will be difficult for other teams and it will be a good competition for them, as we can see.

This decision would have been good for De Zerbi earlier before now, at least when premier League was remaining a lot of matches for Tottenham Hotspur so that the coach would have time to think, if Manchester United had brought the new coach now, it would have been impossible for the team to be on the top side, but however De Zerbi hasn't coached a team and become a liability to them but he instead focus on the perfection so hopefully the way he had made a lot of clubs strong when coaching them he would also make Tottenham Hotspur strong over those team that wants to inter change them from themselves on the relegation.

That is the bitter truth that most of us still fail to accept. Tottenham will definitely go to relegation no matter what this season. I don’t see any hope of that changing, and to me, if I see people having hope in them, it makes me pity those supporting Spurs. Escaping relegation this season will not just be a miracle, it will be more than a miracle. They are just a point ahead of West Ham, and West Ham also want to escape relegation.

Why are you so certain that Tothenham will go on to relegation? The club is currently in the seventh position which is above the relegation zone. Roberto De Zerbi might turn things around. The club might be in a very bad shape but if they can win most of their remaining games, they will remain in the EPL next season.

It might be hard for the new coach to get the needed results since he has a very short time but nothing is impossible.  The Italian football manager has lots of experience that might help him in achieving the current goal of the club. Concluding that they will go on relegation is like saying that they don't have any chance meanwhile there are still more games to play

You have a point, saving Tottenham from the mess they are currently in might be too much even for a good Coach like him. But if Michael carrick can turn things around in Manchester United then that should tell you that anything is possible. Michael Carrick was able to turn things around in Manchester United because Ruben Amorim signed good players who are ready to fight for Manchester United and win matches, but Manchester United were struggling under Ruben Amorim's management because he used the strategy that did not suit Manchester United players. But when Michael Carrick came into the picture, he identified the perfect strategy that suit Manchester United players and helped him took 28 points from 33 points. De Zerbi has the quality to help Tottenham hotspur avoid relegation but it will be difficult for him as Tottenham hotspur players has lost the fighting spirit that will ensure De Zerbi to win matches.

They have only 7 games left to determine if they are going to the championship or staying in the premier league. As for Tottenham fans that are still offended by De Zerbi statements about Mason Greenwood in the past, I don’t think their position is silly but De Zerbi has made an apology to the club and the fans, and I think it’s time to let it go and stop hanging it over his head.

I was just going to talk about this. Tottenham really decided to give De Zerbi the full freedom of transfers and actually the full control of many things. 

But the first step is not to relegate from the Premier League... He has a really tough work to do about it. There are still many injuries. But let's see how the players will react to his arrival first.

If we see them firing up then I would be confident about Tottenham to stay here.

I would be happy if Tottenham were relegated. It would be because of some bad decisions by their management and manager.

Tottenham's performance  was also bad last season. The team was very close to the relegation  zone. They should have tried to strengthen the squad. But the management did not do it. They won the europa league. So maybe the  management thought the team was still  strong. That was their biggest stupidity.

This season tottenham manager should have focused  completely on the premier league. Since they have been  at the bottom of the table since the beginning of the season. But he wanted to do well in the champions league matches. And that is why the team's performance in the premier league has been getting worse day by day.

Great selection from the Tottenham Hotspur management and I can’t wait to see De Zerb in action to deliver Tottenham from being relegated. His work is very clear and direct, he just needs to make sure that Tottenham Hotspur don’t get relegated and see them play in the premier league next season. At this point, he’s not coming to fight for Tottenham to qualify for any European competition but for them to just remain in the premier league, the more reason his job and task here is very clear and direct.

And I think de Zerbi can do it, that is, bring Tottenham Hotspur to stay in the Premier League, but of course this will not be easy, because the players are now unmotivated, the first step that Zerbi must take is to inject fighting spirit back into the players, a step that I think is very necessary.

Zerbi have a lot of challenges to face because he really have to prove to the management that he can rescue the team because right now what Tottenham need is someone who can rescue them to avoid relegation, they are just one point ahead of relegations on and they still have some difficult matches to play, since the Elimination in the Champions League will also allow them to focus to strengthen their performance so that they can avoid relegations zone. Zerbi will it be a very good coach, if he can be able to rescue them because right now they are seriously in danger.
