I can't really remember the last time Tottenham Hotspur went to relegation like it has been seasons now and regardless of their performance and their position in the premier league I still don't think and I'm not convinced they will go to relegation untill the last game which could be their last hope and chance of not going. And it's going to be a very big shame to that manager. Tottenham Hotspur don't go relegation anyhow as a matter of fact they use to be very tough in premier league.
Believe it or not, I think it’s going to happen this season. Let them go to the championship and fight their way back to the premier league if they can. The board realise how much of a mess they are in, and decided to give up their authority to a new manager, one could argue that they did that because they are sure of getting relegated and had to find someone to take the blame off their hands.
Growing up, I have heard this history that Tottenham is the only EPL club that has not been relegated before. I am going to research this again, I don't know how true it is.
But for this season, Tottenham is not going to be relegated. The reason is simple - they got a new coach, and we know how serious players use to be when their is a new coach. They will definitely fight for Jersey and besides every new coach comes with new ideas.

Let's applaud the manager of the month.  Grin  They actually played only 3 PL matches in March but all of them ended with wins for Arsenal of course.

Those last 2 wins were especially important for them. Because meanwhile Manchester City got 2 draws... The gap is 9 points as you know.

With an extra match in hand for Arsenal though. But I still believe in them to finally become champions.
Congratulations to Arteta and this should be a motivation to end the season strong.

I'm happy for Tottenham about this deal. De Zerbi isn't unfamiliar with the PL as you know. But he is taking over a wreck right now.

He has a really difficult job to do in such a short time period first. There are only 7 weeks left in the season.  Sad

If he manages to keep Tottenham secure from relegation then I believe next season will be much better with him.

A wreck could turn genius in the space of 7 days. I'm also excited he could land this deal, now lets see if he brings Mason Greenwood back to the Premier League in the future.

They have quality set of players within the dressing room and squad, just a philosophy lacking to engineer themselves back up and also win games.  He has as well decided to remain if they get relegated. He has shown believe he could come out of the red zones to these players indirectly, they'll kill for him within the next seven (7) fixtures.
I have always said it that Tottenham has the quality of players to challenge for European competition in the premier league, so seeing them battling for relegation is just unbelievable. De Zerbi is a good coach and let hope he can get Tottenham out of This deep shit they are in. I know the goal for him now is to try and escape relegation this season then next season they will at least try and challenge for an European football.

Who would have believed that Tottenham would be battling to avoid relegation considering the qualities of players they brought in during the summer transfer. Well a lot of people tend to believe that the problem at Tottenham is internal problem and a lot need to be fixed internally. Well let see how De Zerbi ends the season with Tottenham.
I think no body can believe it if told last season that Tottenham will be battling relegation this season this was the last thing i was expecting from a club like Tottenham, i can't still tell what happens to them anyway but this will take them consistent winning till the end before they can get there self out if this mess, the only way Tottenham can escape this is if they are losing west Ham is also losing because they are just 1 point above west Ham.
I sometimes want to believe that Tottenham has a spiritual problem, because this is a club that is supposed to be one of the contending clubs in the premier League but you see them season to season they are struggling to come to the front burner of the league table or struggling to stay within the middle of the table. The way Aston Villa is trying to create a pathway for themselves within the top four clubs, that is how a lot of us were projecting Tottenham because they have the potentials, but they are already looking like defanged Lions.

The way Aston Villa is trying to create a pathway for themselves within the top four clubs, that is how a lot of us were projecting Tottenham because they have the potentials, but they are already looking like defanged Lions.
Their mentality is indeed disturbed and this makes Tottenham's condition unable to develop the game they have especially with several rapid coach changes that make the chemistry even less cohesive due to the many pushes that change for them in terms of schemes and philosophies of the game.

Currently De Zerbi has a big burden because apart from restoring the mentality that Tottenham has on the one hand he must also be able to make at least Tottenham survive and not be relegated next season.
But with De Zerbi's ability and way of working where he already knows how the EPL competition I feel that this could be a breath of fresh air for Tottenham to stay in the highest caste.
The match only leaves 7 weeks and actually their schedule is not too heavy although there are several clubs to watch out for because they have the potential to lose points.

I don’t have much faith in the zeal of the players and I have said it before that new manager bounce isn’t going to save Tottenham. People think because Spurs are one of big 6 clubs in England they can’t get relegated, that’s nonsense. If you fail to perform, you’re going down regardless of your history. This will be the perfect season for every Arsenal fan as Arsenal wins the league and Tottenham goes to relegation.

I don't know whether De Zerbi have face a difficult situation like this before because this looks so difficult, right now you have a lot of work to do to prove to the management that he is perfect for the job, Tottenham has been suffering all this years and I don't really know how they can be able to get out from all this mess. Currently they are just a point away from relegation zone and they just have few matches to end this season and the intention of teams that are in relegation zone is to escape the Zone and now that Tottenham are just one point away from it, they will be a lot of competition between them, so right now De Zerbi just came to fight a battle which he need to win just to prove himself right for them management.

Yeah, the situation he faces this time around isn't so easy as the threat of being relegated is still there. He has an opportunity now to try and have a turnaround in the club as this would be a nice opportunity to prove to management that he was the best pick for the job. Tottenham has had a really bad run this season and is in need of some serious change. Hopefully, De Zerbi is that serious change they've been looking for.
He has some games to play still this season and if he can manage to win those games, getting points and leaving the threat of being relegated behind.

What are you saying, a good manager can do excellent things if the club supports said manager, and it's not too late, if they had been in the position of Wolves, I would have said all hope is gone but they are literally 1 point ahead the relegation zone and they just need a couple of wins and draws to save them, I know this changing of coaches is bad but atleast I like there determination to want the best.

Admittedly, the present position is not stress free, because there is a risk of relegation. He can now make attempts to change and bring changes at the club and make it to the management that he would be the best candidate. Concrete evidences of his leadership capability in the team will comprise effective changes. These efforts will have a tangible value to the management, which will build trust. This should be used well to make sure that the club will come out of its bad situation.

I remember when Tottenham fans celebrated losing to Manchester City just because it would affect Arsenal’s chances of winning the title race. It is amazing how their hate for Arsenal is greater than their desire for success, can’t say I’m surprised that a club with that kind of mentality and zero ambition is going down.

In fact, the defeat to Manchester City was celebrated by Tottenham fans due to the effect it had on the title ambitions of Arsenal. Atmospheres of hatred towards Arsenal appeared to be dominant over the need to see the club succeed. This culture shows disinterestedness in work and one of the things that have to be first prioritized is being ambitious. Such attitude in a club will see it suffer gradual performance degradation and even relegation in the near future.

The management is the one playing a role in their failure to some extent. There is a way they don't give managers enough time to build a winning team, and they think that sacking and hiring every couple of months is going to help. Until Tottenham settle down with one guy for a long-term project, things are going to continue getting worse for them.

Thomas Frank was given too much time when he should have been shown the exit. Maybe they thought he would rise back up to a good position just the way he did with Brentford United. I thought just the same thing too but he wasn't able to repeat that with Tottenham Hotspur. The likes of Romeo and all those who wanted out could have a change of mind with such a great coach in charge.

I’m not sure why but it feels like an Ai chatbot is responding to my post? Of course this may turn out to be “human written” by Ai detectors but still very generic. If you’re going to quote someone, make an effort to contribute to the discussion.

Let's not forget that it's the fans we are talking about, and the major things that drives fans emotionally apart from winning trophies is the banters that comes with it, for the majority I know, Tottenham fans has always had this banter for Arsenal in regards to there North London derby, and seeing that they couldn't beat Man City, instead of wallowing I the sadness, you take the choice to be happy that atleast your rivals will feel atleast some kind of pain in your defeat.

That's the beautiful game of football, and I find that appealing because of  the emotions they put into it.

De Zerbi is a passionate coach who wants his team to win matches but he has 7 to save Spurs. He must ease the burden otherwise Spurs will go down. He should have been appointed coach when the year began. If De Zerbi was Tottenhams coach at start of the season they would be close to the top.

Mikel Arteta and his boys have been doing very well and not just of late but in this season entirely or as a whole.
The Arsenal manager indeed deserves the coach of the month recognition because without him,, Arsenal may still be playing in the premier league but maybe their performance so far will not be as good as the currently are.

But like it's commonly said that "to whom much is given, much is expected", Arteta have been awarded the coach of the month title and now, it's time for him to ensure that his boy clitches to the premier league title as well, I believe the hardest part of the job towards the title race is already done and dusted and right now, there is really no excuse for failure any more..
So good luck to the Arsenal team, with few games left to play, I believe the boys will put in their best to achieve the title.

That’s not football. Tottenham could have put up a fight against Manchester City if they wanted to. How can you as a fan be satisfied with losing champions league football as long as your rival doesn’t win the league. That’s just stupid in my opinion, and I’m happy they are getting relegated this season.

De Zerbi could be better, I mean at this point I feel like nobody could do anything good with this team, Tottenham is just looking terrible, so I have no trust in the team to do good even if they got Pep and Arteta and Ancelotti and Xabi all working together, because team itself sucks, so it is not fully about the coach.

But could we easily say that Zerbi is better than Igor? Of course, that part is guaranteed no questions asked. The only thing left now is for them to actually play and see if they can stay, because if they do go down, things will not be pretty.

There is nothing that ain't possible in football, I have seen cases where a team gets motivated even in the last 5 five games of the season and won all five although I don't know if such case can still happen with Totetteham Hotspur because it would be too bad seeing a top team like them leave the premier League and go down to the lower league. Tottenham is a big team and I don't really know why the management allowed their situation to get this worse before taking drastic choices and changes.

In football, you can’t lose hope in a team until the last game of the season, but that doesn’t mean you should think a miracle will just happen from now on. When it comes to Tottenham, it is already too late for them to find a solution. Still, things can change, I don’t dispute that, but I have totally lost hope in Tottenham. So, I will wait and see what will happen later in the season, but for me, I have already lost hope, and they are likely going to relegation.

Mikel Arteta has been great with Arsenal he deserved this award for month of march, Arsenal can possibly win the premier league title if they stay consistent the points gap is 9 which is an advantage for Arsenal to win the league, it's Man city that still have an extra match to play and not Arsenal if Man city should win it will be 6 points and both club still has a match a play but i believe Arsenal will do their best to win the league title this season.

The points gap is 9 for Arsenal, they will be the PL champions unless they stumble. Man City wish the Gunners lose a couple of games so they can near their position in the PL table. Mikel has been great with the Gunners, his team are in the Champions League and Premier League.
