Manchester City are really in a better shape than Arsenal recently. First they beat Arsenal and won the EFL Cup trophy. Right after an international break, they just demolished Liverpool at Etihad!  Grin

Arsenal got eliminated from the FA Cup too unfortunately. Besides they have so many missing players due to injury. Will at least most of them be able to recover back soon? Otherwise the remaining weeks will be painful for them...

Manchester City's performance was much better than before, so they managed to beat Arsenal and Liverpool in different competitions.
This gives a dangerous impression for Arsenal because even though they are currently still leading the first standings, injuries to several key players could affect Arsenal's overall performance in the Premier League.

If several players are not available in the remaining matches then Arsenal will have to be quite careful in the Premier League competition because losing points in two matches will make Manchester City catch up on points.
I think the pressure that Arsenal is experiencing is quite big now because a number of players are still injured.

I can’t argue against the fact that Arsenal depend heavily on Declan Rice. It was the same over dependency issue that made Arteta run Saka to the ground and the reason why he’s not in the best form today. However, I think it’s ridiculous to compare Arteta to the bald fraud Ten Hag. Like I said before, Arteta took this team from struggling for top 5 to competing for the league title every season. It’s a big jump from what the club used to be, and rival fans are calling for his sack, I say let him keep his job.

They're lucky that other teams didn't understand their set piece tactics on time,  moreover teams like Manchester City and Liverpool weren't in a good form this, season ekse they would've been in second position or struggling with Manchester United for third spot. There's no doubt about Arteta improving the team but my worry is that he doesn't know how to end what he started, he was the beat althrough the season but has ended up losing two trophies, would you say he should keep his job if he loses all?
Can’t tell if you’re Arsenal fan or not since you’re so concerned about the manager’s future at the club. Let the fanbase and the club worry about Arteta. Even if this ends up being a trophyless season (that’s impossible btw), I strongly believe Arteta is the best man for the club. People talk about Manchester City and Liverpool having an off-season, they ignore the injury crisis and burnout that Arsenal has been facing all season yet they managed to be top in all competitions.

Sure every season has it own impact on the player's and entire team, Asernal have hard several seasons where there finished at top 5 but never winning the trophy in the earn,  this have been their major challenge for sometimes now, but then even Manchester City or Liverpool are not left out in such internal crisis and drop in performance,, what can make this season different is if Asernal can at least top the Premier table this season the their would have broken that record.

You can not really say it is impossible for Arsenal to go Trophiless this season because they have done it several times so anything is possible and talking about Arteta, yes he is a great Coach. Building Arsenal to this point that they are very strong is not easy but I don't know why he is so unfortunate when it comes to winning trophies, I don't know if I will say it is the players fault or the Coach fault and sacking Arteta will be a very big mistake for Arsenal and even if they will win after sacking him it will surely take them seasons unless the Coach adapt in a short period of time.

Am really surprised that most arsenal fans are already making excuses for the potential failure of Mikel arteta, because in my own opinion, it's pathetic for arsenal fateful to be using injuries as an excuse just in case they eventually goes trophy less this season, as if they are the only team that has experienced injuries.

As a manager that knows his job, he should know better that he needs a squad debth that can weather the storm and fight their way to the title, not by using injuries as an excuse that sometimes happens to every other teams.

Why I supported the sentiment of giftedman is that Mikel arteta has been given a lot of time and has been supported very well in the transfer market, so he should be replaced if he did not win this year English premier league title that is within their graps, because six years is not six months. Two years is enough time to know a winner or a mediocre coach, so he has no excuses to give this time around.

One thing they must improve is their mentality. In the last few seasons, they have consistently failed when they were so close to the title. This season, they are so close to the title, and it would be a huge disappointment if they were to fail again. The points gap between them is quite significant.

Arteta has been given immense trust by Arsenal, so delivering a title is what he must do to repay the faith placed in him.

Arsenal are unlucky in terms of winning trophies. I will not deny this. The team has fought for the title in the last few seasons. But they have failed every time.

Arsenal are the biggest favorites to win the Champions League and Premier League titles this time. And their squad is also strong. They have a great chance of winning the title. Arteta will definitely not miss such an opportunity. Although Arsenal are at the top of the table, the road to winning the title is not easy for Arsenal yet. If the performance is not consistent, and if they perform badly in a few matches, then they will have a chance of losing the top spot.

Guardiola has not given up hope of winning the title yet. They have been eliminated from the Champions League. So their only goal is to do well in the Premier League matches.

Arteta is so close to getting the title, and nothing would stop him this season, Arsenal has gone past trial times in the season, City isn't going to catch up with the gunners again, it'll be rare or almost impossible to do that, looking at how the Arsenal players craves for the premier league title, they'll do anything within their jurisdiction to finish the race at the top of the table.

Two years is enough time to know a winner or a mediocre coach, so he has no excuses to give this time around.
How did Klopp do in his first two years at Liverpool? How did Sir Alex Ferguson perform in his first three years at Manchester United? I have learned not to take the comments of rival fans seriously as it is always bias. You want Arsenal to sack Arteta and employ who? It’s funny that you guys are the ones to moan about a club that you do not support.

Finally the PL is back this week! Arsenal have a really good chance to open the gap with Manchester City more. Not guaranteed of course but you know what I mean. They should be beating Bournemouth home however here is the thing...

There are still so many names injured at Arsenal. How many of them will be able to recover for this match? Otherwise this match could also end in a bad way just as in the FA Cup. They can't afford losing important points as of now.

I also agree that, looking at the current market of available coaches, keeping the current Arsenal coach for the long term is the best option rather than firing him to embark on an adventure with some new coach, which would cause Arsenal to decline to the point of not even finishing in second place, which would be worse. In recent years, Arsenal has managed to secure second or third place, and eventually they may win the title. I don't know why any serious and intelligent president would want to fire a coach who achieves such a feat every season.

It is not the first time Mikel Arteta has come close to winning the title but has always messed up the opportunities. So, even this season, I will not be surprised if Arteta does not win the Premier League again. With the results Arsenal have gotten in the matches played, I am not convinced enough that they will not drop points in the remaining matches. If they do drop some points, it is possible that Manchester City could end up winning the league.

It is just a small points gap between them, and we should not forget that Manchester City have one outstanding game. So, if we calculate, it is like a six point gap. But if luck is on Arsenal side, Manchester City might drop some points. However, at this level, I see Manchester City as more in form than Arsenal. One reason why my mind is not at rest about Arsenal winning this league is that they still have some tough matches to play. It will take luck for them to win it. Their matches against Manchester City and also against Newcastle United worry me. I am afraid of these two matches for Arsenal. Once they lose these two matches and draw even one, I think it is over for them.

And the worst part of it is they are yet to play Manchester city for the second leg and they've got some serious injuries and Manchester city on the other hand look more formidable in performance so i really fear for Arsenal in the league, like it will be a big shame if they should bottle the English premier league also, because i'm no longer counting them as the favorite for the UEFA Champions league title, their only hope now is the English premier league and 9 points behind Manchester city is not a guarantee to them so they should be very careful.

Arsenal not winning the league would be a very big shock, at this point it would be near impossible for them to get the win anywhere else, sure UCL may not happen and that would make sense, and sure they lost all other places, but the league? The league looks like it's theirs and it would be a very big shock for them to lose here.
Anything can happen for Arsenal, right? There is still a chance for Man City to win it.
Arsenal --- EFL eliminated, FA eliminated by the underdog team, and now waiting for the Premier league which is very likely they can achieve, while for the Champion League title I myself doubt it because there are still other teams that are too strong from Arsenal.

If this injuries continue with Arsenal players, there is nothing Arsenal can do to achieve this title because they need stronger players to withstand some strong teams they are going to meet soon, we know that Arsenal missed EFL and FA title but that one don't mean they are going to miss this premier League title because if their players on injuries recover now there is a hope for Arsenal to win this title to break record and to make some of their players popular in the premier League competition.

Concerning Arsenal injuries Arteta confirmed in the champions league pre match conference that only Saka and timber are out but the rest are available for the match against sporting, so I think the players have recovered. Well for Arsenal to finish the season strongly they would need to get all their players available. We have seen how they struggled because of injuries against Southampton then now think how bad it will be for them in the premier league.

So far arsenal are still in a very good position to win the premier league, they are 9 points clear even though they have played a match more. For now I think they just don’t need to press the panic bottom yet, they need to take it game by game and see where they would be in a few weeks.

I believe Manchester city is in good form, they are in current best form they can be and this is why they are in the second place competing for the premier league title,

Your right, but it's quite disappointing that they start playing better right after they have already been eliminated from the champions league,

Meanwhile arsenal still has 2 trophies to fight for, unfortunately it's just one that looks quite slightly secured for them which is the primer league, because the way they play presently I'm not sure they will be able to complete well in the champions league

This arsenal team is actually trending now because of this defeat they suffered in the hands of Southampton and it's because no one actually believed that they would lose and this whole thing is why football is very interesting because there is absolutely no certainty to any results and as for arsenal and their trophy hope this season, I feel the premier League is the only hope they have in terms of any possible trophy at hand.

You are sharp in noticing that the comment was that of a rival fan, well that is ok as it is normal in football banter. One thing I know is that sometimes things just don't work the way we plan no matter how hard we try, not because we did not do what we were supposed to do. That is what I can say about Arsenal not being able to win the league after so many years of trying. This year that it is obvious they will win it, every lover of football should be happy for them because they worked hard for it and earned the title legitimately.

If Arsenal decides to sell Arteta, that would be the worst mistake of the century. The resultant effect would be that they will enter into coaching crisis like Manchester United have been in for so many years. Even Slot that has under performed, Liverpool is skeptical of dismissing him because they are not even sure of the next coach.

Arteta is a good coach and should be considered the best available for Arsenal this time. Before now, the biggest problem of Arsenal is lack of squad depth and that problem has been solved. So, I believe that Arsenal will be able to win the English Premier League this time around and atleast that will ease the tension and give him the confidence to explore the more.

People seem to water-down the impact and achievements of Arteta in Arsenal because he is unable to win the EPL or champions league but they forgot that being a runner up for four consecutive times is a great achievement.
