Chelsea failed to win their final league match and squandered their chance. Had they beaten Sunderland, they would have at least secured a spot in European competition, but they couldn’t even manage that. With this loss, Chelsea has truly had a terrible season. Despite trailing 1-0 at halftime, they fell behind 2-0 early in the second half. Although they scored a goal to cut the deficit to 1-2 just six minutes after falling behind 2-0, receiving a red card and being reduced to 10 men made it extremely difficult for them to secure any points from the match.

Chelsea's performance this season was terrible, even with their lineup they still lost to Sunderland and I actually thought that they had a high chance of winning but it is quite disappointing that they didn't and they even ended up having a red card. After scoring their first goal o knew that it would not be possible for them to equalize because of the way they were performing, I hope they improve next season.

I’m just thinking guys with what I’ve seen online and in my city. The way Arsenal fans have been celebrating the premier league win, it’s been party after party everywhere even some celebrities in my country are following the trend and hosting shows to celebrate the win.

I’m just wondering what will happen if Arsenal eventually wins the champions league, the noise is going to be mad. I used to think Chelsea fans are the only noise makers 😄😂 but now I’ve seen what one major trophy can do to Arsenal fans.

What do you mean celebrating their trophy an tittle win is noise?! They have every right to celebrate the way they like,there's nothing noisy about how they chose to celebrate, for goodness sake, they're champions of the Premier League Competition.

They should win the Champions League in my opinion come Saturday, it will be glad to finally see them lifting the Champions League trophy for the very first time same way other Premier League side has done that. Godspeed to them come Saturdays game.

We have not be able to have any peace of mind since Arsenal win the Premier League. Their fans have not allow us to hear word, there is too much noise everywhere after they win the Premier League. If Arsenal fans can disturb the world like this after winning the Premier League, then what would now happen if they win the Champions League next week? I don’t think from now till next season there will be any peace for Manchester United fans or Chelsea fans in the world.

To be honest, this is the reasons why some people do not want Arsenal to win the Champions League, they believe they are better than other teams in the world right now.I’m now a fan of PSG because of the Champions League final, and I believe my team will not disappoint me. Wait... You guys really thought that Chelsea was going to win that game against  Sunderland that has aimed to save a spot for themselves to the Europa league next season. There was nothing special about that game for Chelsea as it was for Sunderland, that last game of the season wasn't just any game for Sunderland but a game that winning it secures for them a spot for Europe meanwhile Chelsea compounded with their poor performance had nothing they were to fight for, so I never had much expectation from them going into that game. Xabi for sure had much work to do come next season and he has to be brutal and emotionless about it.

let's be realistic,  Chelsea doesn't have the players to fight for Premier league  title, a team that couldn't beat Sunderland to qualify for Europe competition next season,  xabi alonsao has to study the Chelsea team and selecte his best for next season and allow the rest to find club.

He needs time to build Chelsea,  he's target is to stabilised the club with the hope to get the club to it glory,  the management has to give him support and fund to sign quality players that will help build the club with.

Chelsea performance since Enzo Maresca left looks irregular so it is very difficult to expect Chelsea to win against Sunderland but Chelsea should have been able to try for at least 1 point if they had not made a mistake creating an own goal besides Chelsea also got a red card which made the game even more unstable it seems that Chelsea is having bad luck this season, hopefully next season with Xabi Alonso Chelsea game will be better but Xabi does need to improve some of the player formations.

Rumours arround Enzo , Palmer , Joe Pedro really give big damage to the Xabi Alonso tactics and what's they plan for their new clubs Chelsea. I think if that's kinda Super star are out of your team you are in big trouble I don't know what's the reason they want to sell this superstar or they want to earn money from them but it's make the worst Senerio to the new managers . Hope Xabi can give has best to the Chelsea team And hope they already plan that if that's kinda Super star is leaving what's should I need to bring to the current Chelsea squad and strengthen him. Even the period of Enzo Maresca Chelsea performances was not consistent. It became even worse after Enzo Maresca left Chelsea. But the point is that Sunderland  was not in great form as they were at the beginning of the season, and that is the reason most people expected Chelsea to win the game. Also, the match was very important for Chelsea because if they had won, they would have qualified for the Conference League. However, they still played like a team that is not interested in any European competition next season.

Currently, I don't know Chelsea main problem. If it is about quality players, Chelsea have players who can even win some trophies this season, but I just don’t know the exact problem they are facing. If they had a better coach with this set of players, they could still perform better and even win trophies. But if Xabi Alonso decides to sell some players and make new signings for the club, it is a good idea because every manager likes to have their own players who suit their tactics.

Well if you are saying all the players in that World Cup squad are choose by merit then I would list a few names for you that are in that squad that performed poorly this season. The likes of Jone stones, Madueke and even spense didn’t perform to worth a World Cup call up. I’m just shocked that I didn’t see the likes of Gibbs white, Wharton and even Maguire on that list.

Well there will be a lot of criticism if England fails in the World Cup, and there will be praises if they perform, so for now we will just have to wait and see what happens at the World Cup.

For Tuchel this is the best squad available so we will have to wait and see what happens when the World Cup is over.

What a failure...    Hull City have proven like everyone in the world wrong. Because I don't think there was anyone who thought they would promote to the PL with that squad.

They couldn't even make transfers properly because of a transfer embargo. However this still didn't prevent them from writing a legendary story in the Championship.

Thomas Tuchel and Xabi Alonso are two managers with different tactical approaches. A player might be good enough to be considered important for Xabi Alonso but doesn't fall in the tactical style of Tuchel.
That said, I don't think it was a good decision to invite Noni Madueke ahead of Cole Palmer but I believe the coach knows better than we do. Palmer will have a whole one month to rest, hopefully, he'll use it to fully recover from any sort of injury and return back to his best next season

I understand your state of mind. To be honest, I was also a victim of such an incident a while ago. Although my betting team was different. But my feelings were exactly the same as yours. The team I supported was performing much better than the opponent. But during the game, their performance was very bad. Although we have to remember that this is football, the performance of a team can be bad at any time. I really lost that bet very badly. I also found the same thing with Chelsea in your case. There was no rhythm in their game. Most of the team's players were going where the ball was. Usually everyone in the team traces the ball only when no one can trust anyone else. It is really a shame to end the season with such a game.

I'm actually surprised by Thomas Tuchel's selections in the England world cup squad, like I'm really Short of words, but just like you say, a player that's good for Xabi Alonso might not be good to Tuchel no doubt, but deep down this decision might turns out to back fire him in the tournament, because I don't really see any reason why he will drop such players, the one that got me insane is the preference from Cole Palmer to Noni Madueke, he's got his reasons but I only hope he doesn't regret it, because I don't really understand what he's actually done.

Yeah I also want them to win. The noise I’m talking about is the celebration and banter, now will be their time to boast and make noise all over the place if they win on Saturday.  It’s not going to be easy but they have a chance to win it.

The years of disappointments after disappointments that they have received is now a thing of the past. I noticed there was a time Arsene Wenger also went 3 seasons straight as runner up before winning it the fourth time and now same thing with Mikel Arteta, I’ll say history is on their side.

We don't know that yet and he has never said any thing about managing a club already. He will like to take some time off from football, he clearly stated he is running out of energy and it is best of he spends enough time now with his family more. I read he will hold a more high position in the Manchester City club now, more like one of the head dictating about their football and how they should play and also anyone else's to bring in as player or manager.

I think Pep was a little down when he separated from his wife, however yesterday at his farewell from City I liked that he spoke about his father who is 95 years old, an example of living happily seeing the potential and success of his son in one of the positions that are sometimes very thankless, in football everyone remembers the mistakes of people, very few what they get right, if they criticize a Messi, CR7, Klopp in his time, now with him even more.
