Let's hope that the arrival of Morgan Rogers will favor Chelsea because spending 117 million on just one player is no joke so there has to be a guarantee that the player is ready to contribute to the club because the performance

Before Chelsea will spend that amount of money on player, then they have properly analyzed the player’s performance, and they believe his pattern of play is definitely going to fit Alonso pattern of play also, and he will be able to improve Chelsea performance. Chelsea performance was terrible last season, but now they have a new coach which is trying to build the team, so he is trying to sign some players that will improve the teams performance. Chelsea should perform better by next season, am not expecting them to win any trophy, but they should be able to end the season in a better position.

The comments there is quite funny for me because I can recall the number of bad transfers we have made especially while spending big, Saudi clubs were helpful to reduce or limit loss.

I only hope Morgan Rogers will turn out well, this thing seem risky but that is how the transfer market works now and hopefully we sign more players because spending big on a single player may bot change anything.

Foden has been playing for the club all his life, so naturally he's loved by the fans who appreciate his loyalty. But I'm not sure if he will play a crucial role in Maresca's team.

There are 4 other Man City first squad players whose contracts are expiring within the next year. These are: Rodri, Mateo Kovacic, Jack Grealish and Marcus Bettinelli, so potentially some extension negotiations are going on in the background.

The Maresca i know is a good coach that never jokes with utilising any opportunity he sees to succeed in difficult moments so he can not overlook the presence of foden in his team.
Yes his tactical technique is completely different from that of pep but that doesn't mean foden won't be a key figure in Maresca's game plans. Come to think of it, assuming foden wasn't in Maresca's game plans he would have given the opportunity to leave instead of offering him a contract till 2030 as he has done now.

The first round is a bit disappointing with the lack of big signs. There are a lot of even pairs and I hope the teams don’t decide to play reliably so as not to at least start the season with a defeat. It would be disappointing if last year's trend of a record number of goalless draws continued. It's disgusting that many games are played during the day, in my experience this is a bad sign for the number of goals scored and for the favorites. Games at 12:30 and 14:00, what kind of nonsense is this and who came up with it?

Arsenal has officially signed Christos Tzolis, wonderful signing I have been expecting to see this news because some time ago I saw a news that Arsenal wants to sign Christos Tzolis and now they have successfully done the signing, I love the steps being taken by Arsenal they are showing signs of a club that wants to continue lifting the premier league, they can actually continue lifting the premier league because they have what it takes to achieve that.
Now that pep is not coaching Manchester City anymore Arsenal will keep having the chance to lift the premier league trophy if they fight very well for it, I think there target should also be the champions league trophy since they have not lifted it before.

He did not also made it to the last concluded world cup,  because of his poor performance. I really think Foden will do better in midfield more than playing from the wing and I hope Maresca will play him.in the midfield,  because that is the position he played and had his best season at Manchester City.

I'm pretty sure there are 2 reasons for Arteta to go for this name especially:

• Trossard has left of course and you know how often Arteta used him as a starter.
• Another reason to sign specifically Tzolis must be to help Gyökeres score more goals also. Because he is a winger who makes lots of assists. 

They didn't have to spend a lot of money for the winger transfer too which is good. It's all about him to adapt to the club quickly. He is already familiar with the PL as he played for Norwich here before.

Aside for the Arsenal against Coventry and Manchester United against Hull city game i definitely don’t see any of the fixtures been easy for the other top clubs, most of them are facing premier league proven clubs and we all know games against this sides are usually tricky most especially when it’s the first game of the season.

The Arsenal signing is actually a needed signing most especially due to the departure of Trossard but for me he isn’t the only solution they need for wingers, he will fill in well but they need depth and a proven player is actually needed for their title defense.

Honestly i wasn’t surprised that Phil Foden wasn’t part of the England squad list because aside having a poor season with Manchester City he has actually done so well for his country and this is mostly because he’s used as a winger at England and this is what even Pep guardiola tried to avoid because he doesn’t flourish there from there at all

To me if there's any difficult time to predict match in any league I think it should be the starting of the league, because most at times we will see the underdog teams trying so hard to be title contenders then as the league goes by you start noticing them dropping form, so first game like this is always the most difficult task to me, but with the look of things on this one I think it won't go otherwise, so I'm actually giving the top teams a direct winning no doubt, where my fear lies is only on that Chelsea game, so I will do everything possible to avoid it.

Well with the change of manager maybe be he can stand a chance, if he can prove himself on training ground and gives reason why he should start, I think Maresca might consider him. Right now I think Manchester city only have 4 wingers, Doku, savinho, Cherki and Foden. Savinho is already linked to be leaving the club this season. So Foden might stand a chance.

Well with Foden lack of game and performance last season I don’t think he deserve to go to the World Cup. There are players who did far better than him that were not selected, the likes of Gibbs white and others. He just recently signed a contract extension with the club, I guess promises were made to him.

Rodri will undergo a surgery in his back most likely so he will miss the first games of the upcoming season. This will make the new signing of Manchester City not only a successor but also a main players for several matches. Anderson has to prove himself more useful than Rodri to take the attention of everyone and pick more time to play within the squad.
I wish also a good healing for Rodri after his good performance in the World Cup and after coming from past injuries too.

Players like this are for the future, so I expect that this player is going to be groomed and gradually step into the big shoe. Always, the starting match looks easy to predict yet not everyone gets it right after making the prediction, so many times I predict with much confidence obviously looking at the present fixtures you can easily tell the preferred club winning the match still it’s never easy as we view not after the match is over and you realize the so called best club failed, the first match doesn’t always determine a club success so I’m not surprised anymore rather it’s just a first start.
Chelsea against Fulham is not a tough one, Chelsea is definitely winning this time though they now have a new coach alongside a new structure, Chelsea would want to prove a point reason why I doubt if Fulham can withstand Chelsea current state as claimed.

Better to watch some of the pre-season matches first to see how some of their new signings perform in a relaxed setting such as the friendly next week when Liverpool plays a championship team in Wrexham.
It should be a good match and don't expect them to play too hard but it should act as a compass of where the team is going especially without their star player Salah not playing on their squad any longer.

Anthony Taylor - who has been an official referee for 24 years - has announced his retirement lately. He retired at 47.

I still can't forget the argument between Mourinho and him after that EL finale.    It was the 2022/23 season finale in the Europa League. He had a lot of criticism in the game Mourinho's Roma lost.

Chelsea fans are the most excited about this recent developments and announcement. Maybe because he's unfair towards then whenever he is the official for their games over the years.

Good luck to him in the new phase ahead.

I no longer have retentive memory of what happened between the both of them though. Jose Mourinho is a problematic manager trust me.

Lacriox to Chelsea is a done deal, the 26 years old French defender is now a blue, a deal worth over £50 million. The player has always wanted Chelsea as personal terms was never a problem in the deal. Crystal palace wanted Disasi included in the deal but Disasi prefer to explore other options.

Personally I think it a good one from Chelsea, now the board is giving the manager what he wants, they are no more signing 20 and 19 years old players, it really good to see them bringing in experience to the team. Chelsea is looking serious and I think they will cause a lot of problems next season.
