Yesterday transfers were crazy, i mean how in the hell you can pay $50 millions for a goalkeeper? No sense, complete no sense, aside of it Welbeck to Chelsea? For real? I like Dany but he was more nearby to the retire or to travel to some arab football than comeback to a top team, just crazy. I know this Chelsea didnt play anything this season and they need to rebuild, but come on you can aim way better.

I don't know what's going on between Brighton and Chelsea that's hidden from public but Chelsea has been a serial customer of Brighton in every transfer market for quiet some time now. Danny is old but the signing is not completely off. Chelsea is trying to rebuild their team this season and young players can not do it alone. The club is struggling for a while now to come back to life. I believe the mixture of young and experienced players will definitely go a long way. In case you are not aware yet, Chelsea is also interested in signing Henderson who's also 36 years if I'm correct. It actually sounds unbelievable but let see what Alonso is up to with these incredible signings.

PSG player Bradley Barcola is keen to join Premier League club Liverpool, in fact, if Liverpool can sign this player, it may increase the strength of this team but we have noticed that no financial agreement has been approved, completed or finalized yet.

This is seen as a natural move, indeed Liverpool were very behind last season so it seems that they are moving to improve in the upcoming season, for which they are looking into signing this French forward because this French wonder boy is very talented and as a result he has caught everyone's attention with his performance in this World Cup too, so maybe this Premier League club is attracted to him to sign him in the upcoming season.

Bradley Barcola wants to join Liverpool and there’s no doubt on that, as reported since May. #LFC project is his priority - but any financial agreement is yet to be approved, done or sealed. Seen as natural step but at the right time. Talks will take place in the next days on player side.

Delap and Garnacho are the worst signings for Chelsea last season. I was wondering what Chelsea was thinking when they signed Delap from Ipswich last season. This player could not help his team stay in the Premier League last season, yet they signed him. I don’t think Jackson is a worse signing for Chelsea; he contributed a lot to the team over the last few seasons. Chelsea assumed that signing Delap as a backup striker would help the club.
Chelsea expected Delap to perform well when they signed him, but his performance is just terrible, I don’t think Delap should be allowed to play for Chelsea by next season, Chelsea should just sell Delap and get a backup striker, Delap is not a player that Chelsea are just suppose to rely on because his performance is always poor.

Alonso used Delap in the first of their pre season match which they had today. Chelsea played against Wanderers today, a club which most of us don’t even know about and Delap couldn’t get a goal or even an assist today. It’s  really a bad one because I expected Delap to perform well today, at least he should be able to get goals today, but he didn’t play anything today.

Alonso used Academy players  in the first half of the match, but those Academy players performed better than Delap, at least those academy players were able to get 2 goals, and Delap was just on the pitch and didn’t play anything special. It’s not too late, Chelsea should just let Delap go.

I think sell the Delap will not be good ideal they should give him another chance next season since he only spent one season with Chelsea, and if they signed some players they take some time before they can adapt to the system of that team. The new season is almost to start it might be his performance will be different from last season, so allow him to play for Chelsea is the best thing for them.

But one thing about this pre-season is that since is not a serious game that’s why you can see most of the players take it guaranteed, because I have notice some some strong teams that face weak opponents in this pre-season that is going on and is the same thing that happened to them, we should not use this pre-season to justify some players who are not performing well now.

Delap was not able to score or provide an assist today, but that does not totally mean he is too bad. I know that he has not been performing to the fans' expectations, but that does not mean they should not give him more time to prove himself. Before Alonso makes any decisions about any player, he needs to assess them very well first, and that is what he is doing now. If he does not see any improvement in Delap, it is possible that he will tell the Chelsea management that they need to replace him and get another striker.

In fact, Chelsea only signed Delap last June from Ipswich, a Championship team that had just earned promotion. A player signed from a lower-level competition should not have extremely high expectations placed on him within such a short period of time.It is possible that he will improve this season, and one preseason match should not be used to judge how he will perform throughout the entire season. I believe Alonso is closely watching him, and if Delap does not show significant improvement, I believe Alonso will ask the club to sign another striker.

Who's going to be the player to replace Salah at Liverpool? At first I thought it might be Yan Diomande. However he is so close to complete his deal with Real Madrid for more than €100m.

Liverpool has been trying to sign Bradley Barcola on one hand. It won't be a cheap deal either. His market value is €90m and who knows how much PSG will demand. But I feel like he will be a really good fit for Liverpool.  Smiley

Anyone that know how the transfer market works this summer will never complain about the amount of money clubs are signing players, when Liverpool wants to sign Yan Diomande i said that the price is too high because he just had a good season at Leipzig last season and his performance in the World Cup is not that up to the amount Leipzig is asking for but after seeing how expensive some players are in this transfer window i think Diomande worth more than 100 million because he is a good player and he is still young, he can improve and become one of the best players in the world.

Liverpool should have sign Diomande because PSG are not going to take it easy on them because Real Madrid has already signed the player they want to replace him, according to some rumours, they said that PSG also want to sell Barciola for more than 100 million because of the transfer window and if Liverpool can not pay the amount they will keep the player, Liverpool really need the player and it looks like they are ready to spend any amount to sign the player because if they did not sign him they will struggle to win some important games next season.

Alonso said it that Delap is not in his plan for next season, Alonso already knows that Delap is not the kind of player he can work it. I don’t know the time which Delap wants, he was signed last season, and had just 2 goals last season, he had 1 premier league goal, and 1 champions league goal. It’s really a bad one for him to have that numbers of goals for a season. You still want Alonso to depend on that kind of player? It’s obvious that Delap is not going to improve now, he is just the worst player Chelsea signed last season.

Alonso used Delap today to see how he will perform, and he ended up performing poorly in the match, honestly Delap is not just the best back up for Chelsea, if Alonso really wants to perform well by next season, he should just get a replacement for Delap. With what Delap played today, am sure Alonso will really want to get welbeck.

Danny Welberg did well last season, but I really don't think that's a criteria for Chelsea to want to sign him. He is a decent striker, but I don't think it's the kind of player that Chelsea needs right now. I understand that the team needs experience players, but not a player that is about to retire. Danny Welberg is about 35 tears old and I know his best days are gone, so I don't expect him to be getting a move to a club like Chelsea,  but I also believe that the manager knows why he wants him and I will just see how this turns out, but to be sincere I really don't think he is the profile that Chelsea needs right now.

Liam Delap is a total flop as one of Chelsea's signings last season's window transfer, didn't leave up to expectations as we expected of him. A striker that was able to score only 1 premier League goal in 28 appearances, that's really poor of a striker, and Alonso's decision not to include him on his plans is a good one. He either learn from the bench, get sold out or get loan out.

To me I think its not nice calling him a flop for now, although he had a very poor performance last season but that doesn't mean he can't meet up to expectations this coming season if the chance is given to him.
Irrespective of the fact that he didn't score goals,  but i will say he contributed heavily in that Chelsea's team alot more.
Although I will say his performances last season was below expectation, as all expected an undeniable dominance in the Premier League last season but all he had was a very poor performance at last that made the team lose hope on him. Talking of his performances last season,  i think all blame needs to be channelled to the team at large because they had a very poor performance in all competitions.

I think Chelsea really hurried up last season to buy liam delap from Ipswich and it was a really big mistake by them because honestly he needed more time to get some experience to go into a big team. He was good in Ipswich and really carried them when he was in that team and in Chelsea he had a lot of matches but nothing special from him.

Im sure that Chelsea will surely loan him out because i dont think anyone wants to pay a big fee for this kind of player. In Chelsea he was a huge flop and i understand why Alonso dosent want him.

Last season was definitely disappointing and he didn't live up to the expectations always work that way one bad season doesn't define players entire career. Even though the goals were not there he still contributed to the club's over all play in ways that don't always show up on the scoresline. Chelsea as a whole struggle last summer so it's unfair to put all the blame on one player, if he's giving consistent opportunities this season there is every tendency he can turn things around for good and prove so many people wrong.

Chelsea paid dearly for the hype created by Man United. Initially, Manchester United had shown considerable interest in Liam Delap, and at the time Amorim did indeed appear very keen to sign Delap. However, for some reason , Chelsea suddenly stepped in and thwarted Manchester United’s plans, and that led Delap to turn down the offer from Manchester United because Chelsea were in the Champions League , whilst Man United weren’t. I think that is the very high price Chelsea had to pay for being nosy. It’s not just Delap, as Garnacho has also turned out to be a poor signing , and Man United have made a huge profit from this deal.

Funny enough it's right to say that Manchester United gave Chelsea their worst signings of last season based on your description, hyping delap to the delight of Chelsea and further selling Garnacho to them. Garnacho was desperate to play the champions League and started putting up attitudes which I feel that it was because Chelsea was already in contact with him which gave him the assurance he could avoid the Bench. Then Garnacho  only needed time to evolve but still, Chelsea didn't have the patience. After that mistake they made last year, they have started making same mistake again by now declaring interest in Welback who's already 35 years of age. With the choices that Xabi Alonso are engaging with in this window, they may still have another transfer error made.

However, Garnacho deal could still be profitable to Chelsea if Aston villa should meet up with their £43 million Garnacho valuation by the end of the season after his loan spell.

Who's going to be the player to replace Salah at Liverpool? At first I thought it might be Yan Diomande. However he is so close to complete his deal with Real Madrid for more than ?100m.

Liverpool has been trying to sign Bradley Barcola on one hand. It won't be a cheap deal either. His market value is ?90m and who knows how much PSG will demand. But I feel like he will be a really good fit for Liverpool.  Smiley

Liverpool eyed first Yan Diomande but their main target right now is Bradley Barcola. They have to sign him before another team do it. i am not sure about Arsenal chasing him too but they have to move fast.
Another option is Brahim Diaz. If they failed to secure any option by the end of the transfer window then they have to use Victor Munoz who was brought earlier from Osasuna.

I think Arsenal will target a few other players, so i think Liverpool have a strong chance of landing Bradley. The problem remains with PSG if they start asking for exaggerated figures, but if they stick to ?90 million, it'll be very feasible. i think they should also focus more on Diomande, and then they'll start to build a good squad.

This player could not help his team stay in the Premier League last season, yet they signed him. I don’t think Jackson is a worse signing for Chelsea; he contributed a lot to the team over the last few seasons. Chelsea assumed that signing Delap as a backup striker would help the club.

This is one of the games where Delap should prove to the manager that he can be useful for the club next season. But a player who was unable to score in a preseason game against an unknown team, how could he be able to score in an important match? Delap played the first 45 minutes and he couldn’t register a goal in the first half. While the academy players did well and scored two goals and impressed the manager that they are the future of the club.

I see the reason why Chelsea agrees that Joao Pedro is one of the untouchable players in the squad. He came in to the game in the second half and registered three goals and one assist in the second half. His goals helped the team to comeback from the game. I am sure that Brazil would be regretting the decision not to call him into the World Cup squad, instead of calling Igor Thiago who had one appearance.

I read some of your comments about my last comment, and yes some of you point out about Dany Welbeck was not a bad deal for Chelsea and maybe it is ok and Dany still ahve something to give as a player and for not so much money but the main problem for me about it is that is CHELSEA i mean come on they need to build a team to fight at top and with high profile players, and this is not looking like that, i know they are now with low budget after spending a lot in other seasons, but damn.

aside of it Welbeck to Chelsea? For real? I like Dany but he was more nearby to the retire or to travel to some arab football than comeback to a top team, just crazy. I know this Chelsea didnt play anything this season and they need to rebuild, but come on you can aim way better.
And I hope this will not happen because I think Welbeck who is already 35 years old is no longer worthy of playing for a team as big as Chelsea and I think it is realistic because Welbeck will not be able to compete for playing minutes and on the other hand there is no contribution that can be given to the team so it would be better if Welbeck went to a team in a league that is not competitive for example in the Arab League or MLS.

Welbeck scored the expected number of goals last season and has a lot of experience in the Premier League. When fans hear the name of a club like Chelsea, they expect a player who can attack. They want someone new to come in and make a big difference in the title race. If Chelsea want to keep Danny Welbeck as their main striker, then Chelsea are probably making a mistake. But if Danny Welbeck is brought in at a low cost as a replacement player, to mentor the youngsters or to take charge when needed, I wouldn't think it's entirely wrong.
