I’m really looking forward to Xabi Alonso with Chelsea in the EPL. I’m curious to see how he will get Chelsea back into the top 3 in the EPL. He’s a good coach and Chelsea is a great destination. Chelsea has a lot of young players. The challenge is managing the young players; Xabi once failed at Real Madrid, and he should be better able to adapt to Chelsea since he doesn’t have any special players with him. This season, Xabi should be able to get into the top 4 in the EPL. The advantage for Xabi is that Chelsea won’t be playing in Europe. Chelsea’s pre-season has also been pretty good they beat Milan 3-0.

It will be a very challenging season for xabi Alonso. I don't know who they arranged the squad because they have alot of player and they all are very talented just xabi Alonso need to guide him to give has best to the team. Actually I think xabi Alonso can use a very tactical football next season which they use in Bayer Leverkusen, in Madrid they did has best but unfortunately they failed to succeed. But now it's time for Chelsea management to give some time because in Madrid the management doesn't give time so we can blame the Madrid management for the xabi success but now look like Chelsea management are trusted him

I so much believe in Carrick that he will surprise the world this season with his men. He is starting the season and has a lot of time to win as many matches as he can in order to top the table. Arsenal isn't a threat to United at all.
Judging by the results of this preseason, Carrick does indeed have a good chance of leading Manchester United to compete for the title. However, if you say Arsenal isn’t a threat, you’re way off the mark. Arsenal is the defending Premier League champion, and their squad is absolutely top-notch. Don’t go overboard praising Carrick just yet, the league hasn’t even started. Let’s wait and see how Manchester United performs in at least the first 10 Premier League matches before drawing any conclusions about whether Carrick seems capable of leading Manchester United to the title.
I'm not way off the track like you think. Being a defending champions isn't a guarantee that they will win the title again. We have seen a lot of defending champions that couldn't defend the title the second time. Do you know that assuming Carrick handles the team in the beginning of last season, Arsenal wouldn't have near winning the title.

Manchester United beat Arsenal the moment Carrick took over and I believe that the same thing will happen this season because the squad is a formidable one. Let's watch and see.
It still surprises me to see most people still saying and believing that Arsenal will still the title because they are the defending champions, Arsenal was only lucky last season as clubs that were supposed to challenge them was consistent enough, Arsenal may still likely to win again but it's never a guarantee that they will win it because they won it last time.

I believe the new season will kick start next week nothing much to be arguing about when the league starts we are going to see the strength of these teams it's from there we will know who the crown fits.

So far, people have not been paying too much attention on the ongoing preseason friendlies, it hasn’t entirely been favourable to most bettors. Big teams don’t just giving away wins or draws is one thing.
Today I saw that Manchester City won Atletico Madrid 3:1 with Omar Marmoush scoring a brace and with the speculations surrounding his time at City even his coach isn’t confident with him, I believe he deserves to remain at City he’ll be a valuable asset to deploy anytime.
Liverpool ended up losing this game 3:2 to Monaco, Chelsea played a 3:3 against Johor. Not the results we all expected.
Friendlies are not that good for the betting purpose, but it give us a small insight about how good or bad the depth of the team. From the games you mentioned, Liverpool is obviously the one who give me disappointment to my expectation.
You know City played with their 2nd team, they win. While Chelsea also deployed all of their 2nd team players, so no disappointment when they got a draw against a weak club.

However, it's different feeling when it comes to the Liverpool. Their team is not depth enough. When they made the changes, their team performance has been dropping a lot. So this obviously telling how they is still lacking of something compared to the City to be one of main rival in title chaser.
Even Iraola has admitted it in his interview. So he takes this game seriously as an insight what thing that needs to be solved.
I have been watching Liverpool club with their pattern of football lately last season and to be honest with Liverpool club, these their parttern of football is not favourable to the club, let us keep aside that Liverpool vs Leeds match is a friendly match, if a club is good is good and if a club is not good is not good, I'm afraid if Liverpool start with the same parttern of football in this coming season, i don't know if they will actually end up with good position in premier League or that of the champions League and the reason why I'm not concluding with feeling on Liverpool parttern of football, is because the league is yet to start and I'm yet to see the real Liverpool performances, then i still reserve comments on till the preimer League season starts.
Liverpool's form last season was very poor so we can assume that their style of play is not good for the club. Also their performance this season is not on the upswing as you can see they lost two pre-season matches to Monaco and Leeds United but Wirtz showed great performance in both of these matches as he scored two goals.

Club friendly matches may not be very important for Liverpool but still if they could win these matches then it would have boosted their morale. Liverpool won the Premier League in the 24/25 season but I noticed since then this team has not been able to play well in the Premier League. Notably, even in the upcoming transfer window this team has not bought any top talent yet but it's correct they have added defender Araujo from Barcelona for 55 million euros, it seems that this PL club is trying to strengthen their defense after the French player Konate joined Real Madrid.

If you are saying that being the defending champion is not a guarantee that such a team will win the title, which I agree with, because even Liverpool won the Premier League two seasons ago and they were not able to perform at the same level they had in the previous two seasons to defend their title. But you are alao trying to say what you are going against because you are also guaranteed Manchester United that they will be the team to won the league if Carrick was their coach from the beginning of the season, which is also not a guarantee. It is possible that if Carrick had been Manchester United manager from the beginning, they might not have been as strong from the beginning of the season to the end of the season. have you not seen before a coach who was appointed towards the end of the season perform well, but when the next season comes, they are unable to maintain that same level of performance? So,what both of you are trying to argue is actually leading in the same direction. No guarantees in football but we can only try to predict what will be the outcome base of the records and that is what both of you are doing.

Judging from everything right now, the odds still favors Arsenal to win the premier league against the other top premier league clubs not really because they’re the defending champions but because of their recent performances and how they’ve been able to maintain their form and position at the top for over 3-4 seasons now. Arsenal has been in top form for over four seasons now, and if not for A club like Manchester city Arsenal would’ve won the league title back to back in previous 2-3 seasons, now Pep Guardiola has left man city, Liverpool have a new coach, Chelsea and man united are still struggling to hold their way up back. Arteta currently stand as the most experienced coach right now in the premier league among the others which gives him an edge to retain the title again this season.

Aside the Leeds United poor result, Liverpool have also lost to AS Monaco two days ago. It's still preseason match but back to back defeat is something to show concern for. Unless we want to deceive ourselves that it's just a preseason and it doesn't matter. It actually matters because preseason is like a preview of the coming season. It prepares the team mentally and physically ahead of the season. I'm not trying to judge them based on these matches but I'm saying it's not to be overlooked because it contributes and help shape the team when season begins. I really don't have much confidence on Liverpool on so many grounds too but it's early to say.

If they have to keep the league's strongest teams out to win the title, how come Arsenal are the best team? If they have been in such good form for 3-4 seasons, why haven't they won the title?

They won the title last season because Liverpool and Manchester City lost their form, if they had been in their best form last season as well, maybe Arsenal wouldn't have won the championship last season. When you look at the results of the end of the season matches, you can understand how weak they are under pressure, they won the title last season by some luck or you can say they won the title because of Manchester City's mistakes.

I won't rate them too high for the upcoming season either, they still have problems in attack and haven't been able to improve themselves. They are good as a team, but they lack a competitive spirit. Arsenal may have to fight for a top-four finish if Manchester United, City or Liverpool find their form next season.

This pre season he’s showing some improvement in the game and teaches the players a new method of playing and how they will dominate the opponents.

For so many years now Arsenal had great opportunities to become champions of England but failed to capitalize on the opportunities they had but always joke with the opportunities at there hand but where very lucky last season.
I know many will be asking why I used the word lucky. Last season they almost lost it if not for the lack of consistency Manchester City had lately last season.
If the Manchester City or United of this coming season where same last season, Arsenal won't have made it to the top the same way they did.
Of the coming season? You seem to be saying that both Manchester City and Manchester United are likely to make it hard for a team like Arsenal which by the way also still has very good players playing for them will not be able come out on top the the premier league this season, I do think that Arsenal might not be as advantaged as the were last season but I don't think Man United especially has enough to give Arsenal a run for their money yet.
I don't think we should argue about Arsenal facing a lot of challenges in the coming season, take a look at last season, Liverpool was not in a good form you still, Chelsea also was not in a better form and Manchester United were just battling to recover from their losses, we all knew already that Manchester City are still in their best performance even though not powerful as the previous season.

This coming season is definitely going to be a big challenge for arsenal, because all the top teams are ready to be among the contender for the title, most especially Manchester United that recovered rapidly since last season with the assistance of their current coach which no one believe in him when he came. I consider Manchester United to be among the top contender because they have good players and they are ready to defend their self this time around.
I agree with you. First of all, when it comes to Liverpool, they are still unpredictable. They don't know when they played well and when they played badly last season. We will know where Liverpool's position could be once the season starts. Arsenal will face a lot more challenges this time. Because this time some clubs are in good form. In most seasons we see one or two teams in good form. But this time almost most teams have good players, and they are all in top form in their respective positions. Manchester United and Manchester City will be the biggest challenges for Arsenal. So, if Arsenal leaves any match with weakness, then they will be left with a big gap later. This season is going to be much more exciting.
One thing I'm certain is this season English premier League will be fierce with the look of things, for now every fans believes their team is the favorite for the English premier League title this season but deep down the winner is still a mystery, now Pep Guardiola is out it's an open field, who ever plays the best will win it, for now I can't really predict the outcome because the season is yet to start, but with the look of things I think Liverpool will be one of the heavy contenders for the title followed by Manchester United and Arsenal.
Plenty of teams are rebuilding this season in the English premier league, and that is enough for me to agree the season ahead will be fierce just as you are expecting, but this is not the first time English premier league teams have rebuild their teams and the season ahead could not be fierce. I am not expecting any kind of competition from premier league teams at the moment, few weeks into the new premier league season will determine the level of competition we will see in the English premier league this season.

One thing i like about the Premier league is that they are always busy buying players in every transfer market which helps teams to strengthen their squads especially when a new season is about to kick off. How can you say that you are not expecting any kind of competition even after knowing that teams are rebuilding their squad which of course will make them become competitive. All the big teams have made one changes or the other, so it shows that everyone of them is making preparations ahead of the new season. The only thing that will make the Premier league not to be competitive is if they allow any team to lead the table by a huge points, and even if it happens that way there are still positions that are worth fighting for, especially the Champions League positions so there must surely be competition, we don't need to wait till the season games begin first.

But now it's time for Chelsea management to give some time because in Madrid the management doesn't give time so we can blame the Madrid management for the xabi success but now look like Chelsea management are trusted him
If xabi Alonso can bring back the spirit he had in Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea it will be a great thing for him and the club, he is a good coach and the managements allow him to sign the players he want and he think they will make the job easier for him, so I no see any excuse he will say if things don’t work out for him as he didn’t work out for him in Real Madrid but we see what is capable of. This pre season he’s showing some improvement in the game and teaches the players a new method of playing and how they will dominate the opponents.
If someone thinks Xabi Alonso is a bad coach, then in my opinion they should know about Xabi Alonso. He is an experienced coach. He knows very well when and how the team should play. If someone thinks that he only knows how to change the position of the players because of the incident in Madrid, then you are wrong. Real Madrid had many mistakes of their own. Because of which they had the worst season in their history. Xabi knows when to put which player in which position. Some players at Real Madrid were proud of themselves, they thought that football was more based on individual performance. When it comes to doing well in football, individual performance cannot always keep the team in a good position, but team performance can win the title. Xabi Alonso will show good results in a short time.

Premier League clubs are not holding back, we know exactly what to expect from them next season because all the elite sides are busy in this transfer window, they're signing players and adding up for the potential squad because they know exactly what they need to find and how to cope and compete next season. For instance we looked at Arsenal who are defending EPL champions, they didn't waste any time rather they pinned down and brought in some new faces inother to keep strengthening their squad because next season is going to be really competitive for them. Same thing applies to other sides.

I just don’t know why Arsenal wants to sell Lewis-Skelly, what is wrong with Arteta. Lewis-Skelly is a very young and talented player that has done so well in Arsenal, so what is the reason why he’s selling him.
When I saw the news, I was very angry at Arteta, this is one of the reasons why young players are not coming out from Arsenal Academy because they really don’t value them that much, very soon they will sell Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman because they don’t like or love using them.
Lewis-Skelly is a player that can become one of the best midfielders if you use him very well.
If they should sell him to Manchester United or Chelsea, he’s going to do very well and I know Arsenal management are going to regret this decision.

There is nothing there to surprise you and you are wrong to say that Arsenal wins the premier League trophy by luck. Arsenal actually deserved to win the trophy, infact it was not luck they have the best squad in England. Winning the premier League wasn't luck because they performed greatly even to the point of not losing to any team in the champions League. Arsenal still stand a chance of winning the premier League title this coming season and it should not be a surprise to you because they have a strong squad.

Maybe you're just good at complaining rather than analysing. No doubts about the talent in Lewis Skelly but if you pay close attention, you will see that he will be having little or no game time this season so it is wise for him to go in search of a club and Arsenal already offered him to Manchester United and Chelsea.

There will be no space in leftback for him with Calafiori and Hincapie and in the midfield, which he played during the last few games of the  Premier League Competition before they won the league, we can also see that Bruno Guimaraes incoming will be bye bye to such plans of him coming in for them. I believe he had these talks already with Mikel Arteta and anticipating for a final movement leaving the club.

Manchester united fans are gassed up about him already, and they feel he could be the next Patrice Evra for them.

Xabi Alonso would probably have a good season ahead and maybe finish top 5 in the Premier League this season if he utilizes his current squad and tactics very well. Chelsea should not expect much though but finishing top 5 is very good already if he manages to pull that performance this season.  From what happened in the game against Milan in the pre-season, I think Xabi Alonso needs to stick to a lineup with three defenders at the back just as in the preseason game against Milan because the team performance in that game was really good. This was the same kind of lineup he used to win the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen.

If Xabi Alonso finishes in the top five of the Premier League with Chelsea in his first season, I think he'll have achieved a great success. The team doesn't have very high expectations of him, but because he's a successful manager, they expect him to at least qualify for the Champions League by the end of the season. If he fails to qualify, he might play his last games with Chelsea. Anyway, it's too early to talk about that. Right now, I see a manager focused on success with Chelsea. I hope he succeeds.

I will never put Liverpool in the top 3 positions to win the title. Because at the moment Arsenal is the biggest contender. Because Arsenal's attacking part is very strong, although I think it is a little less than Liverpool in terms of strength, but in all other aspects Arsenal is much stronger than Liverpool. Arsenal is adding Bruno to their midfield, as a result, their midfield strength has increased a lot. On the upside, Liverpool's defense is not seen as strong in this position and Liverpool has appointed a new manager and it may take some time for each player of the team to adapt under this new manager. But let's see how we can see the performance of each team on the field.
I will never put Liverpool in the top three in the race to win the title because their performance in pre-season matches is not improving. However it still seems that Arsenal also deserves to win the title, just like Manchester City won the Premier League title for two consecutive seasons. You are undoubtedly right Arsenal have added Bruno in the midfield, so it is proven that they are much more mature in midfield and defense than Liverpool.

Liverpool's team performed averagely last season, so it is clear they are also worried, as a result of which we can see that they are already buying the best players. Did you notice that Arsenal recently lost 3-2 to a German league club in the Emirates Cup final, in this match they were very weak in attack, as a result of which Borussia Dortmund won the match very easily and they were able to play offensively in this Emirates Cup match.

The Alonso challenges is looking for a system that will fit all his players he has at that moment, there's no need in forcing any players into a strategy or tactics that doesn't works for them. If it worked somewhere else it fine, but bring the same pattern and apply it to every players is something else. So having a good defenders  can actually creat a good balancing for the team, especially when the wingers and the attackers are ready to work hard.

In my own views, it would hard for me to judge the next coming season, it's too early. Well I do believe in Alonso's team work and coordinating, Chelsea will actually surprises alit of people this coming season, I know they are coming back stronger than before .

The window transfer this time around feels so different from what you have been thinking… the truth is that no one is even waiting around, every elite should have better ideas on their clubs, do you know that even City, Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Chelsea,  Newcastle, and as it stands, all of them are spending like what we call war it about to get down seeing such happened…Arsenal as defending champs? That was what I was to hear; that's really a big statement. Well, usually anyone who wins…And still on that, but Arsenal didn’t waste time. They went straight to businessthe other sides.
