Chelsea does not have a second team, how will they come out with a good performance this season if they don't have a second team?

Because I don't get how some of your first team players suffers injury and you go taking losses this is not the first time Joe Pedro was absent in Arsenal's match and they took a loss, now Pedro is absent again with Martinez and they took a loss again. What will zabi Alonso do about this? That means if Chelsea's first player surface injuries they could end up the season like they did last time.

The most Interesting game lost over the weekend, finally City dropped off some points, I don't see anything home advantage when it comes to this game, Aston villa did a good display of by leading the game in the first half, Manchester city wouldn't care where they're playing you when they wants to win a game. Aston villa came with a better game plan than their opponent,  That's indeed a good job.

Many Arsenal fans will be happy about this Manchester City loss to Aston Villa. Manchester City couldn't believe their eyes that they would lose again, three straight to Aston Villa.

Aston Villa will face off against Manchester City next year. Let it be Manchester City will break the yoke of losing to Aston Villa this time because it won't be nice that Emery will beat Manchester City under Pep Guardiola and Enzo Maresca, home and away

And so the winning streak of Aston Villa over Manchester City continues they will try again next time to stop Villa side, it’s a good news to Arsenal and all their fans, now they’re level on point with City. Aston Villa has a habit of ruining things for top teams in the Premier League.

Today Tottenham Hotspur shocked us and Chelsea fans by defeating Chelsea 2:0 away from home. It was a closely contested game for me and the unlucky red card for Cole Palmer reduced the effort of Chelsea to mount a comeback. Tottenham now have two wins.

It's like Unai Emery loves playing against City. Emerys team were among the other teams that cost Manchester city from winning the title last season.  Nicolas Jackson banging 2 goals was the surprise of the day. This is the wrong time for City to drop point, Arsenal are now leveled with them. Title race this season will be entertaining.

Tottenham that was unable to get a win since we began this season have suddenly win two games in a row and  are 4 points away from the top 4 spot. This is a miracle to me, initially I had high expectations for Tottenham this season, I expected them to end up in the top 4 at the end of the season. But when they began this season poorly my expectations reduced, hope this win could improve their confidence in the upcoming games.

It was a very good game and I think Manchester City played well, but Aston Villa were clinical in front of goal. They only had 2 shots on target and they scored both attempts. I never really expect Aston Villa to win the game,  but I knew it was going to be a difficult game for Manchester City, because they have always struggled against Aston Villa when playing away. I think Manchester City player well, but it was not just there day and there is nothing they can do to win today.

It is always good to use the opportunity you get and turn it into goals when you have the chance. Aston Villa didn't misuse the chances they got and that is what helped them achieve the three points against Manchester City, this is their first loss of the season. Arsenal have got the chance to chase the league again since Manchester City have lost three points, currently the points incurred and goal difference make Manchester City continue topping the league table, no one will believe that Aston Villa will defeat Man City so easily in that match.

This was exactly what I was expecting from Chelsea all this while, at times I feel like maybe Chelsea's are not ready to play premier league to some extent whenever they were defeated, I can't even rate thier match against Tottenham Hotspur because there was no any efforts that worth rating them in that match, thier performances was very poor. Well I was impressed with how the Aston Villa ended this particular match against Manchester City, having an ealy goal in this tight matches is a good move, well done played to N.jackson by helping Aston Villa out of this pressures.

Arsenal pushing to prove a point of not given man city space their wining with Everton while man city losses to Aston villa is a clear indication, apart from goal difference position man city and is now is now operating on the same point which is 21 points,  man city Will try their best not to lose their next match with Brighton because the case of arsenal metting Liverpool that game will be tough but arsenal can't go below draw if wining is difficult for them.

Yes Arsenal have managed to level up the points with Manchester City after the 2-0 win against Tottenham while Manchester City count hold Aston Villa to a draw. This game week is crazy for the premier league teams and the bookmaker probably won today. almost all the underdogs won today and I’m sure most people bet on Manchester City and Chelsea to win, but unfortunately they all lost.

I don’t know what really went wrong with the Manchester City teams but for Chelsea I did watch the match to the final whistle, it was a total dominance by the spurs which made Chelsea looked so poor, they couldn’t even hold the ball for 10 minutes. Spurs played a game that will frustrate their opponents, the aggression in marking is intense, and they really know how to keep the ball and make accurate passes when whey are with the ball I think it’s was a well deserved winning for the spurs and they should also win the game even if Palmer wasn’t book red card.

This was exactly what I was expecting from Chelsea all this while, at times I feel like maybe Chelsea's are not ready to play premier league to some extent whenever they were defeated, I can't even rate thier match against Tottenham Hotspur because there was no any efforts that worth rating them in that match, thier performances was very poor. Seriously I was also not shocked about the result of this match, Chelsea has been one of the most useless teams to me since last season in the premier league, they are always bragging of being one of the best in England but they are a fluke team.

Chelsea is one of the clubs among the entire top European clubs that are always not consistent in performance, in fact Chelsea is one of the teams that I can never gambled on for them to win a match, followed by Man united no matter their performance or form.

I can never bet on the two clubs I mentioned above to score even a goal in a match, even though they were winning matches on a streak they can always make someone loose a bet.

It was so sweet to see Chelsea loose to Tottenham because their fans bantered us (Barca fans) when we lose to PSG. I pray they even relegate this season.

Most of us was excited when Chelsea did beat Bournemouth 5:1 and when they won Everton by 0:2 Chelsea. They seemed like a team on track, a team that has got both its defense and attacking like figured out.
Finally with a chance to play at home and do the same thing to a bottom league team like Tottenham, they lost by 2 goals. First goal came from an own goal and the second was merely minutes after Palmer got his second yellow card. That’s a team that can’t afford to play a man down, something that wouldn’t make much difference when a team like Arsenal or Manchester City is playing against a team like Tottenham.

Chelsea should have be more careful in that game because the first goal was like an own goal from the goalie. Palmer red card also became a set back to the team which gave Tottenham their best chance to get all three points from the game.

I think, overconfidence and underestimating Tottenham cost them the lost. Tottenham did well today.

My team lost to Tottenham tonight in the EPL after a long while. Xabi Alonso has now lost twice to Tottenham since he became our manager, the same team we usually find ways to dominate and get the win.

Regardless, I won't use this to judge his overall performance but still we could have done better. This is one of those games we shouldn't be losing,  sigh, Palmer got  a red card.

Sorry about that, derby games are always interesting and Tottenham Hotspur delivered very well, and it was a back to back win for spurs maybe they could improve more this season.

Tottenham Hotspur actually deserve the winning, they had more control of the ball over Chelsea with more shot on target,

The better team won that's fair, unfortunately that wasn't my team, sigh, I don't like seeing us losing London derby's, another game to remind us that there's still much to do for us to consider ourselves as competitors again.

Xabi Alonso isn't doing bad yet, this is his first season with Chelsea and i see him building a strong team maybe with time we can see Chelsea challenging for the tittle again.

Xabi is trying and I'm not disregarding that but like you said we are building, let's keep that going and improving, unnecessary errors or tactics should be minimised.

Knowing that the opposition that they were coming up against were a top sid band where playing at home.Nice to see Tottenham back to wining ways they should maintain this form going forward because last season they almost got relegated out of poor performance from the team.

I don't expect more from Alonso. This is how he will continue at Chelsea. He will win some matches and lose some. There will be no consistency. They haven't had any point where they had five straight wins in all competitions. The best they can do is make it to the top four. Chelsea will make it to the Champions League next season because it's just between Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool. With time, Brighton will drop. So if Chelsea maintains a certain level, they will qualify for the UCL, but they won't compete for the league. They can try to compete for the Carabao and FA cup though.

I did not think Joe Pedro absence was the reason Chelsea lost today’s match against Tottenham. Even if Joe Pedro had been present today, I don’t think Chelsea would have been able to win the match. By the way, when Chelsea played against Arsenal, Joe Pedro was present, but he did not play well. His rating was not good against Arsenal. It was Caicedo who was absent against Arsenal, which people thought was the cause of the loss, and even I felt the same way.

What is clear is that Chelsea have not been consistent over the past few seasons. They will play so well in a few matches, and people will start believing that they are finally back in good form. However, in the next few matches, they will mess things up again.It is always good to have good replacements for any player, but let’s be honest: it is not good when a team’s performance depends so much on one player that their absence alone becomes the reason the team fails.By the way, I don’t think Pedro is more important than Palmer in that Chelsea squad. I was sensing Aston Villa to draw with Manchester City in today match and because of that feeling i eventually stay away from this match the match and as we may see the final result Aston Villa was able to defeat Manchester City 2:1 and i was thinking that i have escaped from from Manchester City game and Manchester City is having Brighton in there next meeting, if Manchester City doesn't play well in that match they are likely to lose again,  so i don't know that Chelsea vs Tottenham is there waiting for me, today that i chose to predict Chelsea winning, they could not be able to win or draw Tottenham, that have lost three matches and draw three matches, Tottenham has been able to win 2 matches in total of 8 matches.

I am really dissapointed with Xabi Alonso in this game, I don't know what he was thinking but I will say he killed the himself even before it started. All that needed to be done since Joao Pedro was absent was to bring in a replacement for him which Welbeck could have solved easily or even Quenda or Estevao without altering the formation.

I don't know if he intentional decided to make it a 4-4-2 formation or a 3-5-2 with Palmer and Rodgers upfront and Quenda playing like a midfielder because that was what they played throughout the first half. This was what gave Tottenham the room to play comfortably. To me Estevao starting would have been better because he will have to play upfront with Palmer and Rodgers. Chelsea lacked motivation and confidence in this game and I will say it's on Alonso.

Great week for Arsenal. With Manchester City losing and Arsenal picking up all three points, this was the best possible outcome for them this week.
After three consecutive corners, the first goal finally came from a goalmouth scramble. You could tell that a goal was coming from one of those corners. Arsenal love scoring from corners, and they’re so good at creating goals out of chaos.
The build-up to the second goal was even better, with Gabriel finishing it off. The centre-backs really stepped up today and contributed to both goals.

Merely looking at the stats you can tell that Chelsea was outclassed, Tottenham was very impressive today and the presence of João Felix would've contributed nothing or little to help Chelsea, the match was so tough on them that Cole Palmer was sent off after he got booked with a yellow card twice.

Chelsea's don't have squad depth and this alone have disturbed the club. Xabi Alonso should be blame for this defeats at Stamford Bridge? Oh YES I blame him because tell me how you're starting Quenda ahead of Welbeck. When I saw the Chelsea lineup for the game, I know something was wrong. The absence of Joao Pedro really affected the club. The Brazilian is injured and was not present for the game, Chelsea suffered huge defeat at home.

Manchester city was outshined by Aston Villa ans they clinch the win Manchester cite are still leading the table with a goal difference, both team are still potential and favorites  to win to life the league this season,  they're only team that look serious the rest are still struggling while Arsenal and Manchester cite has  solid squad to challenge for the league.

There are certain away fixtures that I think no team should underestimate no matter how good they're. Teams like Bournemouth, Brentford, Aston Villa, Brighton, Sunderland, and Everton, can be very difficult to defeat especially when you're playing away from home, and when you're in the title race. Arsenal got a scrappy 1nil win against Aston villa in their second game of the season, and I can remember that a lot of fans called it boring... Well, turns out that Villa aren't interested in a team that plays "beautiful football" better than them. Both Arsenal and City are currently leveled on the same point with 30 more games to go.

Considering this current Tottenham Hotspur's squad,  i don't think we need to channel any blame to the coach for not using his best squad on that game. For now both teams can not be compared in all areas so alonso relaxing his players for more serious game is supposed to be the best plan if not for the mistake that came up at die minutes of the game.
Even with the lost I think they  had a great day but lost it all when they believed it was over without knowing that is the beginning of Tottenham's restructuring plan. If not for how reluctant Tottenham was at the late part of the second half i don't think the game would have ended with such a dramatic result.

Man City were just busy keeping possession without clear purpose and Aston Villa were very okay with allowing them to have all the possession in the world because they had a game plan, they just allwo them pass the ball around and then defend in a very compact way then hit City on a fast counter once they get the opportunity. Immediately after the equalizing goal was scored by Haaland, Man City hold on to the ball for a long time, but Villa kept their cool and didn't lose formation. Villa got the reward of their commitment 2 goal for the fans to celebrate at the end.

The pattern of City's game is actually not too much different from the previous few games but the difference here is that Aston Villa's players are quite solid and Emery knows that when facing a club full of dominance then playing defensive and waiting for momentum is the right condition to do.

In this match Aston Villa played patiently by continuing to do a defensive scheme because they know when trying to compensate for City's game with their dominance they will lose so placing 5 midfielders with a focus on securing the midfield and defensive line is very good. On the other hand for Manchester City it is a mistake to show gaps. 2 goals occurred from Jackson is not just about momentum but the mistakes of their defenders who are still not too solid.

With this result Arsenal again get a good condition because at least they can stick Mancehster City in the standings.
