Carrick performed his duties well last season, and he did so with a squad built by the previous manager. Strangely enough, though, now that he has a roster with several players he has hand picked for the team, their performances have turned out to be so poor .... so it is justified that some people blame Carrick for this decline, as he is seen as having failed to make Man United better than they were before.

However, I think it’s a bit unfair to assume that all the mistakes were down to Carrick alone, because although Man United were quite active in the transfer window at the start of the season, Carrick couldn’t sign players as he pleased (the management turned down high priced players because they considered it a waste of money). When a manager gets good results early in his tenure, give him time until he gets the chance to bring in new players. That's when we'll find out whether he really has what it takes to do the job properly. This has happened quite often with several teams in other leagues.

Your point about the pressure on Carrick due to his inability to bring in high quality players makes sense. However, his performances shouldn't be this poor. During his early days as interim manager, he managed to get the best out of the team despite not having any players he had personally chosen.

If this was before, the team that will be afraid of tomorrow will be Chelsea and not Manchester united but you see that teams are not having any regards for their performance because it's poor and not worth it. Getting Micheal carrick sacked is the worst decision manchester united would make because all this problems that manchester united is facing is not actually his fault, the young man has tried his possible best to see if the players could seat up but no way. You don't expect a Coach to perform well in a team where players are very lazy there's no way it would work, it's a big challenge for Micheal carrick right now. Wish the board would see things the way we sees it and then leave Micheal carricks to continue his coaching job at the same time looking forward to bring in new players in the next transfer window.

I'm certain that Carrick isn't the problem; the problem is the players. Although it might sound crazy, I'd get rid of Bruno. We need a player with more character. Bruno Fernandes is a player who, in my opinion, has a lot of problems in midfield. He wants to play as a false nine and he can't manage it. I think he should stay in the middle of the pitch and orchestrate play, let the others run, but he shouldn't drift so far forward because it unbalances the midfield—and without a midfield, it's easier to lose.

Of course, this is just my personal opinion. We need a midfielder with more character who creates more plays, someone like Rodri, Pedri, or even Arda Güler. I think that's what Manchester United needs.

You really gat a point here, many will think Bruno Fernandes is the engine room, and getting rid of him might cause more problem to the team, but the fact is gone are the days when Bruno Fernandes was what people are actually thinking of him now, so he's overdue for a move to another team so other players will come in, and again who has noticed since Casemiro left the team, Bruno Fernandes has not really been that effective on games, anyways he's contract will finish and the end of the season, let's see if they will let go or still keep him.

The Premier League is very tough; all the teams here are very strong, and it's very easy to fail. Teams have no patience; both managers and fans want things to change very quickly. When that doesn't happen, we see things like resignations or dismissals.
Nobody can make a team very good in just a few games. If a team had high potential, it wouldn't be in such a bad situation, so they need time. Teams that rush things generally continue to fail

Just a few weeks ago I was discussing with friends that Carrick has become the head coach of Manchester United and has at least improved the team's defense. His team has drawn most of the matches against the opposition. But Carrick's team has failed to maintain a strong defensive position as they lost by a large goal difference in the last match. United also lost 4-1 against Como in the UCL match. The team is performing to the disappointment of the fans. The club needs to find out which of the many problems is the root and solve it but I think the board spending more time on Carrick means supporting him while the fans want him fired.

That is it. United ought to support him rather than sacking him. If they think the coach is the reason for their problem, then they need to think twice, because at first Carrick initially made them more compact. That shows that the problem is not entirely from him. Yes, we understand that when a team is in this kind of situation, the manager is usuallythe first person to be blamed. But from what we have observed, there is no consistency in the team. So they need to look within themselves and fix that loophole. If they do that and still see no improvement, then they can go ahead and try new manager.

I don't understand how United club authorities have kept him in charge. Maybe they haven't found much wrong with Carrick to show for it. Maybe there is a lack of talent in the squad because the players who were added in the last transfer window or the previous players in the squad need some more time to adapt. I understand that the club immense faith in Carrick is why they are not sacking him yet. They will probably focus on building the team's strength without changing the manager. If that is their plan, Carrick will have a lot more time and in that time he may be able to make a big step forward in his efforts to take the team to a better level.

Keeping him is still the right thing to do, he just signed a new contract not long ago, sacking him will incur financial losses to the club because they will have to pay off his contract, negotiate with another coach before appointment him that's another financial constraints for a club that's finding it difficult in bringing out funds to sign quality players for the team. It's not entirely the fault of the coach that the team isn't doing well, the management has their own share to take on the misfortune keeping Manchester United where it is today, the coach and the players are all part of what makes the team what it is now

The truth is that manchester united have not settled that is why it is as though all the position aren't working, believe me if Micheal carrick settle down and arrange the players you will be shocked with the way manchester united will perform. Eventhough Chelsea suffered a pain against Liverpool by getting knocked out from Carabao, they were still playing well overall. They're not losing the possession nor the total shoots and goal attempts when they performed without their top attacker such as Joao Pedro. It must be considered as an improvement from their side.

Chelsea are the favourite we have to give them that without being biased in anyway. It should be Manchester United fighting to go home with a point. Although, injury news should trouble Chelsea fans because their defender who they brought in from Crystal Palace will be out for that game. If you watched the stinker Fofana dropped during the EFL cup game against Liverpool, you'd also be happy as a Manchester United fan but troubled as a Chelsea fan. I think Manchester United goes back with something considering all of the points they have lost.

So why not he sticks to those players to see if things can work out, if I'm in his shoes I will definitely try out those players that got me this job from last season, after all it's only Casemiro that's one serious player that has left the team, so I would advise he try out those one that got him here from last season, but come to think of this Manchester United squad is not really that bad, like they actually got the players needed to compete for this season, but I still wonder why they are under performing, it really baffles me.

I also believe Chelsea have the highest chance of winning this matches more than Man U, chealse might have loss some matches recently but they seems more reliable than Manchester United and hopefully will win the match. Man U on the other hand have been struggling with matches so far this season, although this is a though match and anything can happen, but I will be really happy to see Chelsea winning the match.
