In EPL, every team play 38 matches and its very difficult to remain unbeaten in all 38 matches because EPL is one of finest league in the world and every team here has the ability to beat other team. Man City was unbeaten for seven straight weeks but that winning streak is finally broken by Aston Villa and now City is at second position. I am now interested to see how Brighton will play their next games because now they have a chance to grab second position on points table. 

I personally don't fancy whatever Brighton is currently doing in the premier league at the moment because we've seen time and time again  that the English premier league is a marathon, and it takes a lot to finish well. It's much easier to start well, but finishing well becomes a bigger tasks. They actually have a pretty decent squad, with a strong mentality, but we all know how easily things can change when fatigues and injuries start creeping in.

And as for City's loss to Villa, well, it was meant to happen. There are some teams in the premier league that can never win the title, but they eventually decides who gets to win the title, and Aston Villa is one of those teams that is known for making life very difficult for title contenders.

Fancy it or not, we have to give credit when it due. Currently I will tell you they are the best team in the league. We know the league is a marathon but this was same way we say Leicester started it years back and got it to the finish line. I’m not really saying Brighton will win the league, but so far they are taking it one match at a time and that the best way to go about the league.

Brighton have beaten arsenal and Manchester city in the league, it shows the level of commitment in the team. When you watch them play you will see they are not just winning these game but fluke, they are putting in so much work. Well, even if they don’t get their hands on the premier league, I think they will be playing in the champions league next season.

But I don't think we will see much good from Brighton. I think the Premier League gets exciting a little bit before the end of every season. The teams below are gradually doing well. For example, Chelsea are performing well and they are on the path of improvement, we can definitely expect to see something good from Chelsea. Although Chelsea will not win a trophy this season, they will probably take the opportunity in the UCL and make their team much stronger next season. There are several other teams like Chelsea who have the potential to do quite well.

They started the season so well, they have been able to win some top clubs, and they are currently in 3rd position on the table, I think Brighton might not be able to maintain their good performance until season is going to end, I expect their performance to drop at some point, but they currently playing well, and their performance is just so impressive right now, let’s see how Brighton is going to perform till the season is going to end, let’s see if they will be able to secure champions league spot.

It is not yet certain that Brighton performance will deteriorate. The team has been showing impressive results since the start of the tournament, especially the team won 3-0 against Arsenal, won 5-0 against Crystal Palace and beat Manchester City 1-0 in the last match. I do not look at these results as being too short, I think the team can keep this consistency and reach a good position.

Brighton may not be at a level to win trophies but they have become a team capable of reaching a good position. The team is gradually improving, especially in the match against Arsenal and Manchester City I saw a strong defensive position. Because their defense was more strong against strong team.

We are in week 9 and every team still has 29 more games to play this season. If we compare Brighton performance after week 9 with last season then they are doing way better now. To win the title you have to play well throughout the season. If a team got good start then it boost moral of team to play well for rest of the season. You can't finish among top teams, if you got a start like Man United is having right now.

Aston Villa and Brighton both have won their respective matches against City and these defeats will help City is realising that teams like Brighton are also looking to compete for the title.

There's a glimpse of hope for Carrick's future at United. Tonight Man United defeated AS Roma in Champions League round 4. It was a chaotic game. Roma got ahead 2-0 before the first 20 minutes passed, but United's squad decided today is a good day to stop their losing streak and fought bravely to change their fate and ended up winning 3-2. Finally, their fans had something to celebrate.

Aston Villa wasn't that lucky. They suffered a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Three more English clubs will play their UCL games tomorrow: Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City.

Honestly, Manchester United's win in UCL was unpredictable while Aston Villa's lose in UCL totally predictable. I'm surprising a struggle team in EPL can beat a team who so called as 2nd best team in serie a right now meanwhile a lose by Aston Villa is a common thing because they fight a team that is on higher level than them.
Apart from that my forecast for the rest of PL clubs that plays in UCL is that they're all winning because they fight no equal opponents to their squad.

Fenerbahce, Leipzig and Slavia Praha are not strong team. They're also getting value more than 5.00. I don't they they will put a fight to the those EPL teams. It's likely those are gonna be one sided games.
Betting on parlay Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal to win their games sound good now.

Arteta needs to find a quick way around Saka's absence considering the fact his return date hasn't been confirmed yet. The season is only but 9 weeks old and the heat is yet to be felt. I am certain Saka might miss the greater part of the season since his injury has to do with muscle/quadriceps issue. My concern is Madueke filling up his role, in the last game against Liverpool he made no attempt nor created an assist. Arteta has so much to do ahead of future games.

Whenever it is about Manchester city and there performance this season, I will always give them credit, because I wasn't expecting them to be actively involved this season considering that they changed there coach and also sold some of there major players. I must hail Enzo Maresca for his ability to keep the team running and going all this while.

It's normal for teams to lose matches. It happens. Only Arsenal that miraculously did that. The invisibles in 2004 when they last lifted the premier league trophy before they won this season. It is not easy to achieve such fit. City have been leaders in England with several records. There performance isn't bad at all and I must hail there efforts all this while.

However, the team is still pushing forward, and their coach is doing his best to keep things together. Nevertheless, it is normal for teams to lose matches, as that its part of football because plans can fail and performances can drop, but that doesn't mean a team should allow such setbacks to become consistent pattern. What matters is being able to identify their weakness quickly and working towards correcting them.

Are you telling me Brighton is a joke to you? A team that has beaten both Arsenal and Manchester City this season and you still think we will not see much from them? I'm not saying they are going to win the league but they are definitely part of the conversation as far as the Premier League title is concerned this season.

As for Chelsea, they've shown a sign of improvement lately but I still don't understand why you're using them as an example of teams that come from below table. From the beginning of this season, Chelsea has not gone down deep on the table. Tottenham should be your perfect example because they have tested the buttom low and now back to top 10. That's quite impressive improvement.

Such strategy by Arteta is not new. I have seen they use such strategy in past  season as well, and Arteta has been successful using it. Being able to score lot of goal does not necessarily mean result will be under  your control. Arsenal are scoring very few goal, but they have maintained steady performance and kept their winning streak  going. This club is currently at top of point table.

Buying new player is not only solution. There is already great understanding among Arsenal's player. If any new forward is added t squad and fails to adapt to their teammate then Arsenal's performance will decline. Rather than taking such risk , Arteta probably consider applying defensive strategy to be safe choice, and they are getting good result  from it as well.

Just remind him in case he has forgotten that Brighton is currently not a less team as he thinks, he should accept the current reality, because they've proved that by winning Arsenal, the defending Champions and Manchester city who ended second in the League table last season and which are both currently in the first and second positions this season. So far, they're strong this very season and until we begin to see drop in their form.

Maybe this victory has actually been detrimental to United in the long run. Carrick was going to be fired after this match. Cunha managed to keep him in charge a little longer. It just postponed the inevitable.

There's an international break after Aston Villa match. If United can't win that game, Carrick will be fired and a new manager will come during the break. But if they beat Aston Villa, things will get complicated. They will have a false sense of hope.

Brighton is really trying and deserves the praise they are getting now but we know they will not be in tip three when the season is over, people will argue that they are doing, no arguments about that, they are doing well now but I don't not think they will end well because in the premier League, teams that will finish above them are in the way coming gradually and before you know it, they might lose form.

So what are you proposing Mikel Arteta do or improvise in this situation?

I don't even think you should be faulting Mikel Arteta. He is not responsible for signing players. You should channel this energy towards the sporting director who saw that two attacking players where sold but no replacement came in for these two attacking players. If Arsenal can find way to win difficult fixtures until the next transfer window, then attacking players with pace would most definitely be signed by Arsenal which should also spur them towards retaining the Premier League Competition. They're not all that productive as they should be but Mikel Arteta is doing well with whatever he has right now.

Brighton is currently having some talented players, and they not fighting for the premier league title, I think they just want to qualify for the champions league, and if they continue with their good performance, they might be able to achieve that.

But why it is that if one or two players get injured teams performance will not balance well. I’m observing same thing with Arsenal performances since when saka got injured their performance wasn’t moving as well unlike when saka always in the match, why I like saka is that is one of the best right winger for Arsenal, some whenever is missing that position will not function as well.

I wasn’t expecting that his injury is going to take long because it was a minor injury to me don’t know that it’s a seriously injury. We hope he resumes soon so that he will come and continue with their remaining matches.

Regardless, Brighton has often been a team to be mindful of every seasons for big teams. It's not like something really exceptional, this is not shocking and what will be shocking for me will be if they can be league contenders this season.

Yeah, it's always like that. But as for Brighton I think they may likely continue with this performance for quite some time even though they are going to loss it at some point but I don't see that happening now probably during the end of the season or something like that, currently the wining mentality is still running in their vein. It seems to me that those teams that has been underperforming from the very beginning is likely to improve in the middle of the season while those that has been doing well will now Loss their form, I could be wrong though but let's see how it goes.

Am not the only one that think Brighton performance is going to drop with time. Brighton has been good since the start of the EPL. They won the top two teams already, and that should boost their morale instead of dropping. Brighton suprised me, they are still performing in top form despite selling their key players.

Although, Brighton don't have much quality players that are used to staying consistent till the end of the season, they don't even have players to rely on when injury strikes. In my opinion, I think Brighton can continue in this good run, and they can finish in UCL spots, but I don't think they can compete for the title with Arsenal and Man City

While it's hard to blame Villa for losing to Barcelona on enemy territory, this round revealed that the dominance of Premier League clubs may not be as strong as it used to be. All wins were minimal, with only 1 goal margin. On top of that, Liverpool, which is a top Premier League team, got defeated by a much lower-ranked club. Liverpool were the favourite with odds of them winning being around x1.50.

The best news is that Man United finally got something to be proud of. It was a messy game, but they came out on top.

Most football fans don’t understand the idea behind match played against a strong opponent and in comparison with previous season. Quick question, must Arsenal score using set piece? All what Arteta needs right now is for the club to secure more points creating a big margin against other club on the epl table, every clubs is aware of the defensive strategy though a lot of club will use this strategy against them well football is all about competition.
I know Saka absence is a major set back, no other player like Saka that will fill in the gap better, reason why Arteta is using the present lineup.
