Sometimes I notice that when a team plays in the continental championship, such as the Champions League or Europa League, the team can't play as well in the next game in the national championship
It can be a number of factors, travel to another country, physical and mental fatigue, the difficulty of the previous game, etc
And look, Porto and Sporting didn't get good results in the last round, while they got excelent results in Europa League and UCL 

Maybe I'll avoid betting on those rounds

Rio Ave - Sporting was good game to watch. If you wouldn't know, it would be difficult to tell that Rio Ave is fighting to avoid relegation. They played great game yesterday.
Porto after dropping points vs Vizela made their situation very complicated. Next round game with Benfica will be do or die if they're still dreaming about title. But for me it's just doesn't looks that they have potential for it this season.

Sporting's draw made the dispute even tighter
Sporting have 1 game less than Benfica, so with a simple win they would be in first place with a one-point lead

Porto lost the pace and now there's 9 points between Porto and Benfica, I don't know if Porto have strenght this year to pursue the title

It looks a bit strange when two different rounds of cup are played on the same day, but we have such situation in Portugal today.
Santa Clara and Porto played last 1/4 final game and Porto won it 1:2. They will face Vitoria Guimares in semifinal. Other semifinal is starting soon. We have derby between Sporting and Benfica. Personally, I see Sporting as favorites in this game, they're looking more solid and consistent all season long.

Yeah, probably that's a reason why we have such schedule, but usually, in other countries calendar is made in such way that there is no need to make changes in calendar because of continental cups. There is room for improvement for Portugal

Third-placed Porto will host Benfica at the Estadio do Dragao today in the Primeira Liga. Porto drew 1-1 with Gil Vicente last week. Meanwhile, Benafica beat Portimonense 4-0 in their last domestic league match but lost 2-1 to Sporting Portugal in the League Cup. Benafica are 2 points ahead of Sporting Portugal if they have played a match more. Today's match has a chance to increase the points gap, if Benafica can win today's match then they will go far in the title race. It is very difficult to say which team will  win today's match as both the teams are equally skilled. Considering the current form of both teams I think today's match could be a high scoring draw. You're absolutely right the match is going to be one of the toughest match in Portugal league today,porto is in a very good form this season so with that I think they can get benfica eliminated considering the home advantage.porto is very good at home, though the match is not going to be tough for Porto but with there form I guess they will beat benfica or they draw the match. However sporting is one of the best team in Portugal league, there performance this season is quite impressing I strongly believe that they will get sc farense eliminated because they happens to be one of the wicker teams in Portugal considering the home advantage that was given to sporting I guess the match will end up 7:0 in favor to sporting so they can get at the top of the table,benfica has 2points ahead of them, benfica has played 23matches and sporting still have more 2matches so I think the possibility for sporting to win the league is 70% if they continue with this there pattern of play.

Te competition for champions of the portuguese primeira league is currently only between Sporting and Benfica, so far the two teams are competing very closely considering the difference in points they currently have and it looks like it will be difficult for porto to enter the championship path because they are 9 points behind benfica and have the potential to even increase, if porto loses this week match against Benfica, Porto absolutely must win if they want to compete at the top of the standings, but considering Benfica curent performance, it seems like a draw will be a realistic result for both teams in the match.
Being 9 points bhind and having the opportunity to be 12 points with 10 matches remaining is certainly not something easy for porto and it is probably very realistic for them to maintain their current 3rd place ranking, the match between porto and benfica will definitely present a very tough match and may even have a fairly high match tension, it will not be an easy for Porto to beat benfica who so far have remained very consistent in the league and my prediction is that maybe the match wiill end in a draw or one team willl win by a difference of one goal.

Porto has some very important games coming up (Benfica and Arsenal)
It may be one of their last chances to have any hope of the title like you said (which I think is unlikely, but not impossible)
If they manage to beat Benfica, the gap will drop to 6 points and 10 games remaning (30 points in dispute)

As I said above, a win could bring the gap between Benfica and Porto down to 6 points, but it will still depend on Sporting. And Porto will still be playing Sporting with 4 games to end the season

About the UCL and the game against Arsenal, Porto did what they could and are going to England with a win, I agree that Arsenal have more chances, but I don't think Porto will be destroyed or that it will be easy. I'm rooting for Porto to hold on and qualify, that would be great for Portugal

It looks like Sporting is favored in this game while they play at home while Benfica face Porto in today games in the Liga Portugal.I am pretty confident that Sporting is going to easily win the game of today while they play against a weaker opponent and they play in their home stadium while the game between Porto and Benfica I don't have an idea of the result however I am assuming the most logical would be a draw or a Porto win while I see it very difficult a win for Benfica.One limiting factor that could have been hindering the game is the fact that Porto would have been playing in Champions but luckily for them they don't this upcoming week so all their focus is in this game and I see a lost game at home for them very much unlikely.

Portimonense drew with Vizela, this was a game involving two teams that are in the worst position in the table. Portimonense have not won any game in the last 5 games, they have had 3 defeats and 2 draws, their situation is serious, they are getting very close to the teams that are in the relegation zone, which could lead them to relegation this season, this was a game in which they were playing against another weak team that is in the last position in the table and yet the team from Portimonense was unable to win, while Vizela seems to be recovering, even though it is a slow recovery, in the last 5 games Vizela had 2 defeats , 2 draws and 1 victory and Vizela's next game will again be against a team that is not doing well, Vizela needs to take advantage of the opportunity and win the game if he wants to dream of getting out of the relegation zone

Another game today that had a draw was Casa Pia game against Gil Vicente, in my opinion this result doesn't surprise me, these two teams had mixed results in the last 5 games in which Gil Vicente only had one win, 2 draws and 2 defeats, it is not a good performance, but as they are not fighting for the title, they are not fighting for a place in European competitions, they are just fighting to stay in the league so these results are what the club's management expected, while casa pia had 2 victories , 2 draws and 1 defeat is also not a good performance, but considering the club's objectives it is probably an acceptable performance for the current position they occupy

Currently, Sporting is playing against Farense, I thought this would be a game in which Sporting would win without difficulty, but the current result is showing something else. Sporting scored 3 goals while Farense scored 2 goals, this is a game in which Sporting is at high risk of losing points again and that is not good because I put Sporting in my multibet, I hope Sporting can win the game

Porto FC delivered an impressive performance, overpowering Benfica with a 5-0 victory. Galeno, Wendell, Pepê, and Namaso all contributed to the scoring spree!
Whether in Liga Portugal or the Champions League, Porto consistently demonstrates their superiority with their attractive style of play. They might even eliminate Arsenal from the Champions League. Yesterday it looked that 5 goals isn't the limit and Porto can csore as much as they want. Especially in 2nd half - Benfica looked like bottom table team and we saw action in one direction already. It was one of the most humiliating defeats of Benfica for a while. Still, Porto chances in title race looks very complicated, but such win can give big boost for the team.

Porto got an excellent victory. Benfica conceded 5 goals, which could hurt them at the end of the championship, as Sporting now have a much better goal difference than Benfica
Looking at the table, it's a bit annoying to see that Sporting (and Famalicao of course) have one less game than the rest, as we can't get a clear points total with all the teams having the same number of games

That was a really good analysis. I was thinking the same but I bet on over 1.5 goals to be safer. This bet paid off but my parlay lost on Barca's only goal. Even if Portimonense didn't score, I was sure Porto would score at least 2 goals in this match. Nicolas Gonzalez scored his first league goal. Galeno continues his great form. Again he was the man of the match with 1 goal and 1 assist. He always contributes goals and assists in the last games.
Porto may be a bit far from the title, but after last week's victory over Benfica they have the psychological upper hand and still have a good chance to finish the league second.

Portimonense 0-3 FC Porto

 

This game was very funny, from the beginning it was very clear to me that Porto would win this game, they have improved in the last few games, especially after beating Benfica in a very humiliating way, in this game they scored the first goal thanks to the serious error of the Porto player who didn't pay much attention when he made a pass, minutes later Porto could have scored the second goal, but the Porto striker wasted the great opportunity, then there was another good opportunity for Porto to score the second goal, but again they failed and the 1 half ended. It didn't seem to be the same because they scored a lot of goals in the game against Benfica, and it's something very strange that they managed to score a lot of goals in the game against Benfica but in that game they were failing a lot

The 2 half started well for Porto and in a few minutes they scored the second goal with a shot and the Porto goalkeeper was very poorly positioned. After that second goal, Porto had another great opportunity to score a goal again, but again they failed, this time they only had the Porto player and the Porto goalkeeper and the Porto player made a shot that was very far from the goal, and then Porto managed to score the third goal, after that there was nothing special in the game, with this victory Porto is very close to Benfica. At the beginning of this season I said that in the Portuguese league when Porto is in first place and very far in points compared to the other teams they always become champions with a big difference in points, but when the other teams are at the top they are very far away from Porto, when there are just a few rounds left for the league to end, Porto always finishes very close to the top team
