Sporting have become champions and this is the Portuguese League which always takes turns winning every season, each team that always dominates can take turns achieving success every season and is one of the reasons why the Portuguese League has its own interest for some football fans.
In 10 season, the only team that was able to defend the title was Benfica and in these 10 seasons only Benfica and Porto won the most titles, Sporting itself was only able to win two titles.
In the future, if Sporting is still able to maintain its good and stable performance like this season, there is possibility that they can defend the title, but still Porto and Benfica will always try to surpass Sporting.

Congratulations to Sporting for their success in maintaining the top of the standings and successfully finishing as champions this season, Benfica themselves finished as runners-up.

The Portuguese leagues can’t be termed a farmers league because the competition in that league is real tough and you can see it match in and out, how predicting the winner is really wild. In the past 10 years we’ve had the Championship being divided between Benfica, Porto and Sporting Lisbon. This is an indication that the league is real one tough one and you have to keep a high level of performance to still be top in the league.

Defending the title next season will be really tough as they have to maintain this standard and seek to improve it because of course you wouldn’t expect the likes of Befica and Porto to remain silent. You can see that Benfica were able to finish 2nd this season and that shows how relentless they can be in terms of performance.

 Porto on the other end will not be silent next season, rather they will want to also be seen as a top team next season and as such you can imagine how the competition next season will look like. Sporting have been real excellent this season and I think them winning the league is a very big indication for their team top performance this season. With these 3 teams having top performeances next season, you can be so sure that the league will be one very interesting one for the fans of the clubs. especially.

Honestly speaking, the Portuguese league is one of the most competitive league in Europe as the seasonal winners of the league in over the last decade is always decided in the last five games of the league season. Just like you said, Benfica, Porto and Sporting Lisbon have been the dominant clubs in the league in recent times and I think the three clubs will continue to battle it out for the league title honour in years to come. 
Sporting Lisbon really played impressive football this season and was rewarded with the league championship but expect a serious battle between them and the other two clubs next season. Porto and Benfica are definitely going to work for a more consistent result that'll guarantee them the league title come next season. I'm still struggling to understand why the Portuguese league isn't getting the deserved attention from global audience because in a league that no team is too strong to dominate the other teams, it's a good thing for them to be recognized globally

Well, that is the reason and also form of interest that is very different from other domestic competitions, here we can see truly unpredictable title race and the Portuguese League is almost like Serie A where it is impossible to completely predict who will be the champion beginning.

I bet on Sporting to win the game but unfortunately I lost my bet and as expected of a game involving Porto, there was controversy with the referee, it seemed to me that Porto won with the help of the referee, I could be wrong. I watched the match live, the first 25 minutes looked like the match was going to be very interesting and I expected some more goals from both teams. 20 minutes of the first half J. Saw only a bit of game on 2nd screen in background, so can't comment it much. I only hear from commentator that there was some questionsble calls like penalty in extra.
In the end, only Sporting can be happy about season, winning league in such dominant way. Cup or League Cup is only consolation prize. If not cup, for Porto this season would be disaster, ending so far away from top in league. But maybe with new president Villas-Boas things will improve next season.
But none of these teams can't be happy about their performance in Europe.

It was pretty evenly split this season with each of Portugal's big three winning a title

At the start of the season I bet on Porto to win the league, but I was wrong, and my doubt was with Benfica. I didn't think Sporting would be so strong this season 
The Portuguese Cup title was significantly affected by thered card of the Sporting player, but that's how soccer is, and Porto did their job

I hope that all the Portuguese teams get good reinforcements for next season, I'd love to see one of the three of them reach at least a Champions League semi-final or maybe a Europa League final
