I don't think so. As a reminder, AS Roma reached the semifinals after surprisingly managing to beat AC Milan, the second ranked team in Serie A. If AS Roma was a weak team because they were not in the top four of the league, they should have lost to AC Milan in the quarterfinals. I don't think we can use the league rankings as a reference. The inconsistency has got to be one in a billion. It's already cleared up now, all the need do is go unbeaten in Bundesliga until the last days of the competition. They've already won the Bundesliga, all that's needed is for the league to be rounded up.
