I feel like the most important thing is that we are talking about something that is looking to be a bit different and could be very different.

Those statistics is some case would have just been what will define the outcome of this match. I don't think so. As a reminder, AS Roma reached the semifinals after surprisingly managing to beat AC Milan, the second ranked team in Serie A. If AS Roma was a weak team because they were not in the top four of the league, they should have lost to AC Milan in the quarterfinals. I don't think we can use the league rankings as a reference. Sometimes some teams with bad results in the league can be successful in the International league.
I'm not saying AS Roma will beat Leverkusen. To be honest, I also predicted Leverkusen would win. But I think Leverkusen also have to be careful because AS Roma could give a surprise like when they played against AC Milan.

They are already champions in the Bundesliga, now their mission is to win the title in the European League. Their challenge now is AS Roma under the direction of De ROssi. The previous season they failed by AS Roma, and this season they must not achieve the same thing, they must take their revenge and advance to the final round. However, it is not easy to do all of that, because AS Roma itself will definitely be aiming for the same mission.

Leverkusen is the first favorite in the European League this season, this is a very natural thing because they are the best club at the moment compared to other clubs. Leverkusen have proved to the the strongest club currently in Bundlesliga with their superb performance and unbeaten record since the beginning of this year. No one expected all these victories from them this season. This is why I think that they are the favorite to win the semifinals. Roma have been in a good performance since the arrival of De Rossi and there is no doubt that Roma is performing better now compare to when Mourinho was in charge. Perhaps, if Roma does not take their semifinal match wit all seriousness, for sure they will not qualify to the finals.
