Quality and performance clearly favoring Bayer Leverkusen, but we still have problems with UEFA has never been going with favorite teams because we have history of falling them behind like we have Liverpool and Manchester City so here as we have Roma and Atlanta which beats better teams and now their confidence level is also high things can take change.
In last season we have tough match between Roma and Leverkusen and then Sevilla won the title as they beat Juventus, and now we are having again Roma vs Leverkusen but Atlanta vs Marseille which mean any upset can happen, and any team can win from here.

Since the elimination of Liverpool, it has been common sense to favor Leverkusen winning the Europa League trophy this season. but indeed, Europa League seem to often have a winner opposing favoritism. This is why this competition feels unique. It's rare to see a big club won this trophy.

Uniquely, among four teams in Europa League semi-final this season, only Marseille have on Champions League. This makes the competition really feels like a second division under Champions League. But I hop the game will be an attractive games to watch.

Yes, because Liverpool and Leverkusen have been favorites from the start and now Liverpool has been eliminated so the strongest candidate is Bayer Leverkusen if he is not eliminated by AS Roma in the semifinals, indeed UEL is unique in the last few seasons in having a deep winner. Honestly I wouldn't pick Atalanta and their victory against Liverpool was very surprising. Atalanta best achievement was exactly this, eliminating Liverpool and giving Bayer Leverkusen an opportunity to win this league.
The funny part is Atalanta facing Marseille which isn't that top this season so an easy access for the finals for Atalanta. Bayer Leverkusen will have a hard match against Roma and the main advantage for Bayer Leverkusen is the fact that they won Bundesliga title so they are more concentrated on winning Europa League than Roma which is trying its best in Serie A too.

Atlanta which never been won any major trophy since 1963 and lost their last final in Copa Italia in 2021 now having good chance for qualifying for the final of the UEFA Europa League as Marseille is having terrible time, and they are losing consistently in French Ligue1, but they are doing good in this league, but now they have to beat Atlanta which is surely having good time after beating team like Liverpool which was hot favourite for the title in this season.

Atlanta is having habit of choking in Serie A after having good start as they are doing right now with slipping and having no chance of recovery, but they can write history if they are able to beat Marseille and then going to play final with this same spirit which will allow them to have their first title into their 117 years old history but right now we have only Bayer Leverkusen most competitive team in this league which can make things better for themselves.

Atalanta are in their best form currently, even though they were defeated by Liverpool in the second leg at Italy. It might be difficult for Atalanta to make history, because they are playing with Leverkusen who is the favorite club to win the league this season. Liverpool has been eliminated by Atalanta and will it be possible for them to also win Leverkusen.

I will not underestimate Atalanta in the finals, that is if they can pass through to the finals, because if they were able to kick Liverpool out of the competition, it means that they are dangerous. No one expected Liverpool to be out of the Europa league competition at this level Because they performed very well right from the group till the round of sixteen, the only mistake they made was losing 3:0 to Atalanta at Anfield in their first leg, that lost caused a lot for Liverpool because they actually needs to win with 3:0 or more than before they would have qualified for the semi finals and they finds it difficult as it only takes a determined and lucky team to perform such magic of winning by that goal margin in the returning leg so obviously, Liverpool created the problem for themselves.

I would never have bet a euro on Liverpool's elimination at the hands of Atalanta, in my opinion they have made a real sporting miracle, for me Liverpool was the team that would have won the Europa League. Now we have two beautiful semi-finals

We never knew that the first leg was an Atalanta miracle because they won at Anfield 3-0, I think it was impossible at the beginning but the incident where Liverpool were humiliated, I'm really disappointed with the result.

There is no real reason why Xabi Alonso should change team,he is enjoying the biggest success of his life as a coach with Leverkussen,he made them win their first Bundesliga title and that is quite an achievement.The Europa League is looking easier for them now that Liverpool is out,I don't see them having any difficulty facing in the final Atalanta or Roma as the strongest remaining teams in the Europa League now.The guys of Leverkussen are surely motivated as they are eager to win even more,like they say appetite comes when eating well and surely Leverkussen is even more hungry for other successes,they are the strongest contender to win the Europa League as they are nearly 50 games that don't taste of defeat,I guess they have already forgotten what defeat is  .

Leverkusen are seriously looking forward to winning the trebble this season,and their recent victory of the Bundesliga tittle will really have something to do with their moral  in the final third of the Europa league competition.They are really eying that trophy,and I don't see any team that can win them and claim that trophy from them.This momentum and spirit that Xabi have built in these players is really good ,and will push them towards achieving many tittles in years to come.
If Xavi does not switch club,I see him winning many tittle and even the champions league with these boys in few years from now.

In my own opinion, I think Bayer Leverkusen's biggest rivals in this season's UEFA Europa League competition was Liverpool before they were eliminated from the competition and now that they'll not be facing any team that's as strong as Liverpool, winning the competition shouldn't be as difficult as many people thinks it'll be for Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso whose team have reached the final of the DFB-Pokal is trying to make sure his team gets to the final of the UEFA Europa League competition so the hopes of finishing the season with three trophies will be actualized.
Despite Bayer Leverkusen's incredible performance this season, I think they're less likely to get the chance to achieve what they've achieved this season and likely to achieve at the end of the season season anytime soon so the best thing to do at the moment is to make sure they seize the moment and make good use of it.
