I'm still in Shock. Can't believe the score. How can it be? A team that has not lost even to the finalist of Champions league. Leverkusen lost a golden chance to clinch the title of Europa league. Next season they'll be playing the champions league, where they'd have no chances against the top teams. It was the first one for Atlanta too and they'll be confident and pumped up for the next season. Most importantly, the finals are crucial 90 minutes where anything can happen if you performed better than your opponent.
Not only I have lost my bet, I've lost my confidence and any hope in football prediction.

I also felt the same as you when I saw the match where the result was unexpected. But what was most unexpected was that Leverkusen was unable to score a single goal in the match against Atalanta. And even Leverkusen was unable to create opportunities that could really endanger Atalanta's goal in that match. They were always stopped by Atalanta's defensive wall which was built very solidly. I hope both teams can score goals in this match. But Leverkusen made the final look so easy for Atalanta. Leverkusen did control the ball more. But they always encountered deadlock when attacking Atalanta's back line. This shows that Atalanta has really made a strategy that can weaken Leverkusen's attack. It seems that the Atalanta coach is very clever and can read what strategy Xabi Alonso used in that match. And the result was that Atalanta seemed to be able to create lots of opportunities very easily.

I didn't understand anything from the Leverkusen game this evening. Atalanta made them look very ordinary. Atalanta acted like Leverkusen wouldn't score even one goal in the full 90 minutes. Atalanta is an Italian force with an attacking style that isn't typical for Italian teams. Imagine beating Liverpool at Anfield easily. Bayer Leverkusen was prepared for Atalanta FC but wasn't ready for Lookman, who saw through their defense.Leverkusen's charm has ended; they only performed well in the Bundesliga. I think Xabi Alonso became complacent. How can he start with six defenders, four midfielders, and no forwards? This was a tough lesson for Alonso from an Italian expert, and it will benefit him in the future. Congratulations to Atalanta FC.

Alonso ended the season with a defeat in the final, I said that the final is always a special match. And Atalanta showed that they are capable of beating both Liverpool and Bayer, and these victories were so convincing that there was no doubt who was stronger. And Atalanta became the team that broke Bayer's record. I knew Atalanta had a fighting chance but I never expected how the previously unbeaten Leverkusen to not even score a goal. It's just embarrassing for the Bundesliga champions to be losing that way. In the final match last night, I was not surprised by Atalanta's game which was able to beat Bayer Leverkusen, because they also have a very experienced coach, namely Gasperini, he is very good at choosing players who he can build into famous players, Lookman is the main player who starred in the match night by scoring 3 goals and a hat trick against Bayer Leverkusen and bringing Atalanta to win the European League.

This is the first defeat for Bayer Leverkusen this season, it is very sad for them because this is a very important match, especially as Bayer Leverkusen were favorites to become European champions this season, but everything failed, Atalanta managed to become European champions this season by beating Bayer Leverkusen by a margin of 3 goal without reply.

Well, we still have to appreciate Leverkusen. Because even though they ultimately lost in the European League Final to Atalanta. But they have also managed to amaze everyone before. And Atalanta really deserves to win the title in the European League. Because actually Atalanta has even had strong opponents since the quarter-finals. Everyone thinks Leverkusen is the best in this competition and they, including me, make Leverkusen the favorite to easily beat Atalanta and win the Europa League title this season.
But what happened was very disappointing, it was really unfortunate that Leverkusen looked really stressed in matching or holding back every attacking game that Atalanta gave.
In this match it was clear that Leverkusen could really control the game well in possession of the ball but none of the Leverkusen players were able to penetrate the Atalanta defense well and score goal.
This result shows how sharp Atalanta front line is and they managed to break into Leverkusen goal with 3 goals without any counter goals being scored, I still really don't believe in today match and the surprise given by Atalanta was very painful.

Even though it did not match expectations, everything has happened and congratulations to Atalanta for their achievement in beating Leverkusen and winning the Europa League title for the 2023/24 season.

I'm sure many people thought Leverkusen would win, including me, but in the early minutes I felt Leverkusen appeared nervous, it looked like they weren't really focused on the match, until Lookman was able to appear from behind suddenly and welcome the ball which could ultimately be a first goal for Atalanta, I thought Leverkusen would put more pressure on Atalanta but in reality it wasn't until the first half that Leverkusen was two goals behind. Of course, with Leverkusen already two goals behind, Xabi panicked. And also, in my opinion, here Leverkusen is more pressured by Atalanta.

and I think Leverkusen can turn things around by making a comeback like previous matches that happened like this, they were behind in the first half but they could turn things around in the second half. However, it turned out that in the second half Lookman scored another goal in the 76th minute with a strong left foot kick which allowed Atalanta to add another goal. and indeed I think Leverkusen's performance last night was a mess, they could barely penetrate Atalanta's defense. And I congratulate Atalanta on the victory, for Xabi himself I don't think this is the end of everything, he has tried well to be able to bring Leverkusen to this point. Once again congratulations to Atalanta. Because Atalanta is a team that can beat Leverkusen throughout Leverkusen's matches and has broken Leverkusen's unbeaten record.

Moreover, when Lookman scored and I felt that there was no comeback Bayer Leverkusen could make in this final match. I don't understand why Alonso rotated some of his players in last night's match, to be honest I didn't watch the match until the end. Only in the first half, I saw Leverkusen not playing their best performance. At first I thought that Alonso would play his Starting Eleven, but it turns out he changed his strategy. I don't know why Alonso did that, instead of winning this fight. in fact, Leverkusen did not play as they should. the defense is weak, and the midfielders don't usually work like last night's match. I spoke at half-time, because after the 2-0 to Atalanta I ended a spectacle that was no longer very interesting.

And what is certain is that Atalanta, a team that was initially not at all superior in this competition, was able to progress and win the Europa League. very unexpected, I mean their journey in this competition. in fact, Leverkusen were not given the opportunity to get a single bonus goal as a consolation. As I said before, the final match is not an easy match to predict, Leverkusen are indeed favorites and I think many people who experienced losses in betting because of the their belief that Leverkusen will extend their unbeaten record are definitely regretting their decision today, Leverkusen defeat yesterday of course It's surprising to many people after they have been an undefeated team in their 51 matches and in a previous post I said that it was difficult to say that Atlanta would be easily defeated. I mean he didn't have Hradecky in the starting eleven. I checked his condition but he wasn't injured either. Instead he preferred his benched goalkeeper. In the same way, the attacking line duo were also Adli - Grimaldo. Just why do you keep Boniface - Schick duo among the substitutes? Leverkusen couldn't even make a good number of goal attempts. Congrats to Atalanta! This is a fully deserved trophy for them.

It's always Europa League who make big upset, really unpredictable.

I'm surprised how can Leverkusen's players didn't play really well, they only able to control the ball possession, but they're making many mistakes especially in long ball. Atalanta's players are really good for maximizing the counter attack moment. Lookman, out of nowhere player can score hattrick, he got spotlight in this match, probably few big teams will interested to try him.

Now Leverkusen's unbeatable 51 match record is over, I doubt there will be a team can reach it.

Finally, Atalanta become the first team success defeating Bayern Leverkusen in this season and Leverkusen's record unbeaten until 51 matches all competition stopped. Unbelievable with Bayern Leverkusen is favorite team for winning Europe League got defeated by Atalanta over 3-0 and can't scoring any one goal. Ademola Lookman impressive well last night by scoring three goals and give the first UEFA Europe League trophy for Atalanta and become first trophy for Gian Piero Gasperini as his career manager.

Last night, Atalanta have quit well performance than Bayern Leverkusen although not full dominance with ball possession but Atalanta made many attempt than Leverkusen. The statistic last night Atalanta success make 10 shots with 7 on target than Bayern Leverkusen only have 3 shots on target although success creating 10 shots. I think tactician of Gian Piero Gasperini for winning the game without controlling ball possession but success playing more aggressive than Bayern Leverkusen less creativities making shot on target or attempt.

Many people choose Bayer Leverkusen because they have a brilliant record in the Bundesliga, but very few people remember Atalanta being able to embarrass Liverpool? I don't see Atalanta by chance qualifying for the final and winning the championship, but that Gasperini's troops were really able to be direct and compact enough that they succeeded in sinking Leverkusen with a big score of 3-0. Alonso has really learned quite a valuable lesson and he must be ready again to face another final in the DFB Pokal. Good luck again Leverkusen and congratulations to La Dea too!

It was a very great game, and believe me when i tell you that Leverkusen did not play horrible ; Atalanta completely dominated them in every areas of the football pitch, and to cap it all up; Ademola Lookman scored great goals to crown the excellent tactical and performance excellences from nthe europa league champions.

To me,what actually caused Bayern Leverkusen's defeat is over excitement and too much praises from people about their unbeaten run.They feel because they have won the league,they can go ahead to win every other trophy they play, forgetting that Atalanta were in the form of their lifes before the game.But one thing I love about this Leverkusen team is the believe they always have,I believe they still had in mind that despite Atalanta getting those two goals against them in the first half,they would come back to draw the game in the second half,but that did not happen yesterday,as I think it wasn't their day.

I knew a whole lot of criticism will definitely emerge from the fact that Bayer Leverkusen lost this finals but then leat think about it from a different points of view, I'm not trying to justify loosing the finals as worth doing but then factors surrounding the situation isn't such that can be ignored in judging the results of which we definitely know Play a big role influencing the performance of the team and the result they happen to get eventually.

Leverkusen were under too many pressure at a time and lost their composure and not their mentality and not starting Boniface who's good bat been creative at the front line was an error which was made in the first half and coming in at the second half to correct the two goals deficit in a final game was actually a dunting task that isn't easy to achieve of which they weren't able to achieve by the end of the second half, basically I think that's the main reason Leverkusen lost the finals, if they had ended the bid for the record all along and all they were after was winning the trophy then maybe it would have been easy for them to be able to have an opportunity to winning the trophy as the pressure would have been just around winning the trophy.

Throughout the league games they were in a very good form and had brilliant performance so I think it will be much better if they are been judged by their total performance throughout the season and not just the single finals game, they are definitely going to be able to contend fairly against some of the champions league teams but may not be able to get to the finals, or even keep an unbeaten record but they are most definitely going to making sure they are able to get as much experience as possible and probably in subsequent champions league they could dare to win the trophy but for the new season I'm particular about them been able to get through to a good point in the champions league.
