I was surprised when I received it because I have to pay a tax which I think is too much. It is because the tax is counted from the shipping fee + the price of the merchandises. What I had to pay is something that I can use to buy 2 or more better t-shirt in my country The most surprising thing is that the shipping fee was more than the price of the merchandises. Although I did not pay it but it affects the tax that I had to pay. Of course it is all about preferences, maybe other countries are not charging too much for the tax but in my country can be said as an expensive one (at least for me).

Yeah, tax on custom is the biggest hurdle on giveaway like this especially if the asset declared value is accurate. So far I don’t have any experience like this because I rarely participate on contests that reward physical reward but I remember some local member that decided not to claim the prize in custom since the tax is too much compared to the item that he will received.

First, I wish to thank you for giving me the privilege to air what is likely to be the best idea for this merchandise giveaway, so judging from what @ "Bitinity" and "Chogo" said above about the shipment of a giveaway been expensive, I hereby came to a conclusion that if an item is been given, at least it should be something worth more of value, hence, I hereby came up with this idea that since Shuffle is an online casino which require the use of either smartphone or a laptop to have access to it, how about if Shuffle team could consider giving out laptop or smartphone for this giveaway (i.e since been an online casino), so that whoever happens to emerge winner will be able to use it to gamble to have more access to online gambling on Shuffle casino.

The tax alone when you contemplate about it can  discourage you from been an interested party participating in the contest or any other from another casino, and am talking about myself as someone from a country I know custom charges are outrageous for imported goods.  Imagine paying a tax amount higher than what you are receiving, governmnt of some countries ain't helpful at all. . What I opine imo is if it's achievable, these merchandise can be converted to cash equivalent of the merchandise price it will encourage more users in participating particular those that tax fee for receiving their prize is their element of discouragement to participate in contest like this.

I can't figure out why it wouldn't be just a hassle for everyone. That's why i use crypto in the first place. Because it's easy. It doesn't take physical space unlike getting a package from another country. I am not even sure how our customs would deal with that or would i need to pay taxes for it before getting it if it's coming outside of EU. With btc /usdt prize equivalent, i would get the prize instantly and spend it as i wish. Well obviously there are taxes. But technically you should pay those for any kind of prizes you get.

Obviously i wouldn't complain getting prize in any form if i should be that lucky. But i can't figure out that whom would it better to get something valuable in a form of laptop than money equivalent of that laptop.
