Today we're playing a game against Bahçeşehir College that's like a final. The winner will face Fenerbahçe.
I can't say we'll win easily just because Bahçeşehir beat us on our home court before.
I hope we win, but even if we do, I don't think we'll be champions against Fenerbahçe.
They're much better than us, but you never know. I watched Fenerbahçe's games against Anadolu Efes. If we play as effectively as we did in our last league game against them, we could be champions this year. It's difficult, but not impossible.
Today, we first need to overcome the Bahçeşehir obstacle.

Yeah Bahçeşehir definitely is an obstacle. They have a very solid team and on a good day they can beat anybody, but also on a bad day they can lose against anybody. 
In the final Besiktas would definitely have a chance I think. Sure, Fener is always the favorite but against Anadolu they didn't really look convincing, actually they should have lost that series if it wasn't for Anadolu Efes's inability to close out games.
Also, the last time they met like a month ago Besiktas destroyed Fenerbahce away on their home court, leading like 24:1 after 8 minutes if I remember correctly. If they can repeat this performance and Fener has yet another disappointing showing there will definitely be a chance for an "upset" in this series.

Panathinaikos forced decisive Game 5 after beating Olympiacos in a battle of 2 overtimes. Maybe it wasn't most quality game, lot of brick shots, but we shouldn't expect something different when cost of mistake is such high. Pao already did more than I expected before series.
Besiktas wins Game 5 of semifinal and goes to the final. After all, we will have final between teams that were best during whole season.

Watched the game live and Partizan really won easily the game and first time after a while they had a good defence and thats why Partizan won. The home court advantage is huge for Partizan because of the fans and its a different story when they play at home

The fourth game between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos lived up to its name. The game ended 69-69 in regulation. Panathinaikos won 93-86 in overtime. If Nunn and Nigel had been as effective in the previous game as they were today, Panathinaikos would have been champions. Now the fifth and final game will be at Olympiakos' home arena. Olympiakos has home-court advantage, but if some of Panathinaikos' players perform at a high level, Panathinaikos could be the one to dominate.

Yet it was the expected hard game. At one small moment Besiktas was down 11 points in the 3rd, that's when I though it's slipping away for them now. But then all of the sudden they started a big run to even take the lead dor a second before settling to go to the final quarter only being down 1 point.
Now they have their final against the nemesis arch rival, let7s see where that goes. Fenerbahce definitely is beatable this season but yet with home court advantage and a better (deeper) roster they will be the favorite of course.

Beşiktaş really struggled a lot against Bahçeşehir Koleji during the series but still didn't let it end by a surprising result. Now I'm excitedly waiting for the final series.

Didn't normally both finalists earn a spot in the Euroleague? Or did they change that again? Somehow I remember it was like that. Anyway, I think it's a big financial burden to play in this league cause sure, it comes with rewards but it also costs a lot of money to travel and so on, there are very many games to play in the EL, you need a deep (expensive) roster to play there. So I understand if teams think twice if they want to participate, especially when the team is on the smaller side.

Dubai in the first season aba league has been crowned the champions with winning over partizan 3-1. They got an expensive team and won the league i dont know if they deserve to be in this league but they were good the entire season. Refs really pushed Dubai in this game and i cannot believe the decision the refs did against my Partizan it was really insane. Im honestly angry at this and the refs i didnt expect such bad calls that cause the game to go in the direction of dubai.

If we are talking about deserving to win then this is a clear no. Why is Dubai in the ABA or even in the EL in the first place? No connection to Europe whatsoever, just some money nonsense scheme to further push out classic teams and replace them with some makeup clowns that have too much money. A very sad development in my opinion.
I didn't see the game but simply looking at the stats I can't tell if the refs actually were bad. Free throw wise they are pretty even with Partizan getting 25 fts and Dubai getting 22. Maybe something else happened down the line.

This evening the final series in the Turkish Basketball Super League is starting. Fenerbahçe are seriously favoured to win Game 1 and the series as well which is natural.

The gap of roster quality is really serious. But of course Fenerbahçe had better perform better than they did in the last round.    Maybe they couldn't reach Euroleague final but I think they'll win their local league at least.

In our league, our championship series will begin against Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe has home advantage. They are much stronger than us in terms of squad, but we will give our best effort.

In the Spanish League, the final will most likely be Valencia vs. Barcelona. Valencia could be the Spanish champion this year. Valencia is better than Barcelona this year.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say Berk Uğurlu played the most important game of his career.

We lost 88-80 today and also lost home advantage.

The next game will be at our home arena again. I was expecting to win today, but unfortunately we lost. I hope to win on Monday and make the series 1-1. We can beat Beşiktaş on their home court.
I didn't like Tucker at all today. With Tarık and Melli also playing poorly, the defeat was inevitable.

I have done a quick research and seen that other finalist Beşiktaş have qualified for Eurocup instead. Their roster isn't good enough for Euroleague maybe but they have a great coach.

With some good transfers they could have done well if joining Euroleague wouldn't break their finances too.

EDIT: In fact there is still a Euroleague chance for Beşiktaş. It's going to be decided after the shareholders' meeting on June 26.

None of these guys isn't sane, but what Jones did isn't acceptable for pro athlete.

Few times it was that both winner and finalist joined Euroleague, but mostly it's just winner. Nothing surprising that Bourg said no to Euroleague - they don't have budget and arena to play there.
I'm wondering about Monaco getting 5 year Eurocup license - does it means that we won't see them in Euroleague?

I would like to state my disappointment in Fenerbahçe today. I accept that we are having a really problematic season. We didn't have a good ending in Euroleague at first.

Olympiakos became the champion of the Greek league. Oly won the game 89-85 and won the series 3-2. The fight between Jones and Nunn during the game was not a good sight.

I didn't think we would win our game, but we beat Fenerbahçe 88-80 and took a 1-0 lead in the series. I hope we win tomorrow's game as well and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Ergin Ataman left Panathinaikos after three seasons, with a classy goodbye video. I like how he and the Pao president talked about the good times and expressed good feelings. Usually parting ways with a club or getting sacked is ugly, but this was a nice change from all that. What Ataman will do is also a mystery. Some Efes fans want him to come back. There is also a rumour he might go to Milano(he is fluent in Italian, much better than his english). We might see big surprises this summer.
