I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

We know that our children would really be definitely be doing things on what they are seeing into their parents on which it would really be just that normal that they would really be that idolizing on whatever things that you do because we know that everything that you do would really be definitely be right or something which is good within their eyes and they would really be definitely be following it no matter what. Now that they are
really that seeing things like on the time that you do play then they would really be definitely be thinking that it is really something good and it does really influence out completely and instill into their minds that it would  really be just that fine to do also since their parents are seen that doing such the same stuff. On the time that they would really be become addicted to it later on then there's no other that should be blamed but only
yourself but its good that you have told them about the legal age but i highly doubt that you could completely be able to stop your children knowing that things could really be easily to be engaged on the time they would really be tending to do so knowing that its already that hitech nowadays and accessibility is really just that easy as pie.

This is because their brains are still growing, and the neural network is still forming. Anything that disturbs this process could end up permanently altering the child for the worse.

But then again, hiding the truth from the child to the extreme also does not work. If you pamper a child too much, they will grow up without necessary life skills, and something like that can be just as damaging to them, later in life.

This is the main reason on why i would never ever consider on showing up something in front of my kids which it isnt really that only limited on gambling but also in other things as well which
it isnt something that would really be that just right for them to see on but there are really some circumstances on which you cant really be able to avoid or have been accidentally be seen.
This is why if you dont like to be on this situation then better keep it to yourself as a parent on whatever things that you are dealing with specially on things that you dont want for them to follow.

I have made same mistake, but not in casinos. I've played slots in front of them, which i sort of regret. However i don't think i ever won anything meaningful. If i had won, they would be more likely to get hooked, as that's how i got hooked. By winning big few times. I am pretty sure that my kids didn't get hooked on just bright colors. As they had better games in their home.

Although i saw my dad betting on horses and i never bet on horses. Only similar gambling between us was lottery. And i won more in it them him in his lifetime, while i was still a kid when i played.

Gambling is meant for the adults and not some infant children that are dependent on their parents or guardians for survival. We should implement principles that would always keep our habits especially gambling related discussions out of the picture when our kids are present. It's very dangerous when we deal with the system, controlling our emotions and keeping our gambling activities discreet from our kids will also help them. It's very repugnant to conceive such an idea and get used to it as well... Kids are very fast to learn and adopt 'em happenings around Thier environment... Since some can barely talk, they learn from what they see...but for the ones that can speak, read and write - it'll definitely speeden up the whole goddam process...
In conclusion, you're definitely training the kid into your own choice of life, which isn't supposed to be so... I don't support that idea cus the kid might take an advantage of it which may as well, lead to early adoption.

The generation to day can easily adopt and yes minors already have the access in technology and exposing them early in gambling might not be a good idea. For me I’m against to this for whatever reason you are saying because as a parent we should display the best role model and guide our children so they can fully develop and be more responsible. We all know casinos are prohibiting under age gambler so why push for this? Be a good parent even if your Children is not around, make it a habit.

I think that this would have adverse effects. If you instead gave her a go, explained the risks, explained tjr complexities of the game and the negatives of gambling etc. Then at least that information could have stuck with her.

Instead what you have chosen to do is be lazy, say "you can't do this yet" (which in her mind, probably makes her even more curious) and "wait until you're of age" which only means she will definitely try blackjack when she is of age to.

Chldren now a days are very smart, the kids of today are not like the kids of the 80s and 90s, the ones of this century are fast learner, anything they see from the elders, they reciprocate them sharply and it's not their fault, it's the nature and how things have transformed.  If you have ever had a child or been around the family that has them, you will notice that they don't allow them watch some channels, that's basically parenting because the kids are still young and they shouldn't be thinking about that kind of aspect in such age, similar thing goes to gambling.

Exposing your kids early to gambling is like setting trap for yourself to blame because when they grow up with that kind of mentality, it will hunt them for the rest of their life, they will prefer gambling than doing any other things in life, if you give them money to invest, they rather see that money in casino house than reasonably think on how to invest it wisely for the future, what you cannot control in the future, it's better you don't start it with the kids.

Yep. People downplay the negative effects that this may inflict upon their kids' psyches but it's something you can't just disregard. You have to understand that to them, you were the pinnacle of a role model. Anything that you do in front of them, they will pick up on subconsciously and may manifest itself in their lives in the future. Gambling is just one thing that you have to keep out of the kids' reaches as much as possible. It's for adults only, and shouldn't be done in front of your kids.

Be responsible parents and ensure that your kid's not getting any negative behaviors from you, gambling may be good and all for you but you have to remember that these kids aren't aware of the concept of gambling addiction nor responsible gambling, do yourself and your kids a favor and avoid yourself from gambling in front of them.

It is never advisable to play gambling in the presence of children because the kind of children we have this days ate very smart and tend to know things easily and also find it difficult to forget things. Gambling in front of children can be very influencing to children which might make a child to grow up to become a chronic gambler. It’s really a bad idea to show children about gambling. You might think they don’t know what you are doing, but don’t be surprised, they will go behind you and start gambling, and you know they are kids, they are easily carried away, and they will find it difficult to stop gambling or control themselves, which will lead to addiction. At the end, they will end up doing illegal things just to source money to gamble, so it’s just better to allow kids to stay away from gambling. When gambling, never allow your kids to come close to you because they will end up gambling when you are not close.

That's absolutely true my friend, because one thing about kids is that they are wired by the creator (i.e God) in such a way that they take notice of whatever their parents do  during their early growing stage both consciously and subconsciously, and on that not, it's always good to behave properly whenever you are around with your kids, so that they don't pick up the wrong attitude/characters. Because kids are always quick to learning everything, and the earlier you start teaching them good values, morals and skills, the more they get use to it as they grow up

This is why I chose to do online gambling to begin with: to gamble alone and at peace without anyone in sight. I do gamble in front of my kids but nothing worse happened, good thing.

If they do understand what gambling is, even without them seeing us doing gambling, they will do gambling no matter what. It's even more confusing to them if we hide our gambling activity from them since that will make them think about why we hide it.

Gambling is almost everywhere. They can see it anywhere even just by watching Youtube and browsing websites.

What to do is to just guide them along the way. If we hide gambling to them, they will start to find out by themselves which is far more risky.

You shall buy her new toys. It's very bad to see kids will be replicating our activity like playing gambling if they saw that. I think that you shall gamble privately once none was close to you.
Our kid can also try to imitate our activities. Sometimes, they were indirectly aware of our activities. Im always hiding once im willing to play it. Since my wife has no problem with it but i just avoid to play it once i was with my kid.

Try to make her busy by giving her some tasks. Im not yet allowing her to deal with gadget. Im seeing some cases in my country kids being addicted to the gambling.

always best not to gamble in front of them or don't let them know that you are into gambling to begin with. you don't know what ideas they will think about on you or on gambling itself. they are still young to learn the nature of this activity. adults at least should know their responsibilities when it comes to gambling.
