They’re advanced in a lot of ways but I doubt kids can get hooked to gambling. They’re more likely to be hooked and attracted to childish things than adult content like gambling. But things have become so advanced that children are exposed to adult activities much earlier than they’re supposed to.
In that particular scenario where the kids stole their parents money to satisfy their cravings for a game, I don’t think the kids were so little, they had no idea they were doing something wrong. I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

Gambling in front of kids is not advisable, but if they eventually meet you where you are gambling, you are free to give them some tips on how you are getting things done and not to tell them how you are chasing after money using it. Another maybe in this topic Maybe kids will try gambling. But the UI or whole process of playing slots or table game for them is still boring and primitive. Make a test. Give kid a slot game with play money balance and see how quick he will get bored from clicking spin and waiting. Or how quick he will get bored from counting to 21 if he plays blackjack.

Imho, until kids fully understand power of money, it is no point hiding that you gamble, as they wont understand the point of that (if we take into account that they get fun from other various things). We have individual differences in somethings that we do at some point because one man's food their say is the other man's poison.

So what is forbidden in one place can be legal in another place,  we have countries where both the government and the religion are against gambling and also we have other countries where gambling is legal and have moral justification for it,  so if you want to compare the approach of citizens of each of those countries in terms of gambling will definitely be different so I don't see any strange thing in the mates saying that he gamble with his family.

The future of children is not determined by us, but they themselves will determine later. as parents we can only give the right direction the rest they will live life and have their own choices. But all parents want the best for their children because no parent wants their children to be misunderstood or have a bad future. So do I, even though I like gambling but I will never show it to children, whether it's other people's children or my own children, of course if they are not old enough they shouldn't know about gambling.

Parents should be there to guide their children. That's the most important part because they should be led into a path that is right and that will be beneficial to them later on in the future. It will not be a good thing to introduce gambling at a very young age when there's still no good comprehension or understanding can be expected from them. After all, they are still naive about how the world works. If they will be exposed to gambling at a young age without proper guidance such as informing them about its pros and cons, there's a chance that they will be curious and be impulsive just to try it out of boredom and exploration.

Gambling topic can be introduced once they reach the puberty age. The moment they become interested in it, it's the parents best chance to made them aware of the consequences. Parents cannot dictate nor impose their own dream or way of life to their child. Rather they must just simply be there to help them figure things out.
