That's unethical you should only gamble in front of your kids if they are at the right age to understand what gambling is and what's not and why are you doing this, there's always a time for everything, and your kids will one day discover what gambling is but never in a young age.

You should show your kids at all times that gambling is entertainment, not something where you can double your money, and a platform where you can continue to make a lot of money because that's never the reality, and it's not what the casinos are preaching to their users.

It’s totally depends on your children knowledge,if they are sportive in nature.They won’t care about the your gambling involvement or gambling activities.The parents should not share about the loss in the gambling,if so the children will chase the loss of the parents after they stop gambling.This may leads to the children to become the gambling addict.Once the children get addicted into the gambling,it’s hard for the children to get away from the gambling addiction.The most important one is they keep increasing of the deposit money by the gambling addiction.

I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

Yup im not letting mine get anywhere near gambling. She has gotten a scratch card a few times for her birthday or for new years and i can see what not winning / expectation of winning with it does. Its just better not to have it till a certain age, not sure what that age is however. Live and learn i guess

Children today are smarter than children a few years ago. They can record what is happening around them more powerfully than children of a few years ago. That is why we have to hide activities they are not allowed to see yet so they do not record them in their memory. And I agree with keeping our children away from gambling for whatever reason because they are still growing, and don't let them grow up on the wrong path. I think this is a case-to-case basis depending on how your kind views gambling as a whole.

As someone who grew up with a father who frequently brings me to arenas of cockfightings, I was not that influenced when it comes to his gambling activities. Sure, I was curious at a point that I even tried gambling away my money during my time in the arena (I was underaged btw) but the habit of me gambling came from my personal decision not to delve deeper into this act.

At the end of the day, what matters is the influence and teachings you bestow upon your children. Though I do agree that it is best to gamble away from your kids, even if you do it by mistake, it is not the end of the road as you can correct this by guiding them all throughout their journey.

Else you'd have known that I'm not a constant (or in other words, daily or addicted) gambler who keeps doing it every single day. I do it once in a while and it was literally my bad luck that my daughter saw me doing it, so TBH I shared it with you guys here just so that even an addicted gambler don't do it in front of anybody whom he/she doesn't want to influence and doesn't want them to get into it at all.

If we love our children, we must keep negative activities including gambling away from our children. And I personally am very secretive about my activities when gambling and I happen to not be an active gambler, so I only gamble outside the house when I am in a cafe enjoying a cup of coffee, with a few dollars and also a few hours.
And I don't want my son to get involved in gambling or anything that could harm him and his health, so I'm very careful. And I also always control my child's activities when playing with gadgets, and also always check their gadgets carefully after using them and also give advice about negative things, including gambling, so they don't open them when there are gambling advertisements.

I am still single so I am safe in this aspect but my brother is a big gambler and he accepted gambling long back. Besides, my brother has a good forehead and he earns a lot of money almost by gambling. I am a small online gambler so I don't invest much money here but I lost a lot of money this year. However children should be prevented from gambling as their thinking is very weak now so they can indulge in any kind of bad activities for gambling. There are many young children who have been caught by the police gambling since childhood and the suffering falls on their parents so more attention should be paid to the scandal..

Children are imitators, children naturally take in exactly what they see adults do. It is natural for adults to participate in gambling either hidden from children or indirectly. Adults should never do these things in front of children under 18 years of age, especially in front of children at home. I still think that there is no harm if our kid sees us gamble because they are too young to know on how to access a gambling site. Scratch cards are harmless as long as you don't tell her that you paid money to get nothing. Tell her it's a gift and she can get something, or nothing, but it's free. If she gets nothing, you will give her something else. The cards can work the same was a gift does if you explain them the right way.
I agree that we should keep kids away from gambling, but I know people who take it to extremes, not allowing them to play cards at all. It's easy to make a mistake with children and show gambling as the forbidden fruit that only grownups can try.

I agree with you that a child may be attracted to gambling if he looks his parents involved in gambling. He may not be gambling at the time but he will have an attempt at gambling in his memory. And as he grows up, he will get ideas about gambling and at some point he will definitely get hooked. So no parent should gamble in front of children. This will disrupt the child's human development. Gambling in front of your kids won't be a good thing to do especially if your kids start to ask you questions about it and inquire about what you're doing. It won't be better for them to know that you're gambling and understand exactly what gambling is. You've got a good point, for the people who are confused about why we always said to younger generations that gambling is bad and it can ruin their financial life or worst their career in the future, when we ourselves as an adult are doing it and it does look like we're fine with it.
So, the goal here is not to let your children see it's totally fine to get involved in gambling. Mold them to be financially stable and it doesn't matter if they get involved latter in the adulting stage because they will be in their right responsible mind when that time comes.

In this case, I don't have children yet, but even so, I always remember the saying "Like father like son". It could even be that in other, simpler cases, someone who has been committed since childhood to avoid the bad things that are often done by people. his parents (such as smoking and cursing when angry). In the end, they will also imitate these habits, consciously or unconsciously, when they are experiencing life problems.
