You pose a false dichotomy, especially since agriculture today is highly dependent on oil. Fields are tilled with power tillers or tractors, grass is cleared with weed cutters, many crops are mechanized, like modern olive harvesting which is picked by machine, many fertilizers are derived from oil, etc. Without oil, agriculture would not have even 20% of its current productivity.
Very good point and observation, but lets not  forget that man can still do without oil, but cant do without food. take your mind back to the old days when humans knew not what oil was, and neither knew how to process it, and neither have the necessary machines to process the oil, human still tilled the ground, cultivated and harvested with their hands without the need for machines that are powered by oils.

Even today, in some part of the world, even here in Nigeria, our old forks who do not own machines , and can not afford to hire one, still till the ground with their hand by their human strength, they cultivate, harvest their farm product with their hands without the need for machines.

This is why i say that, as much as machines through oil have played a very important role in helping Agriculture become big, Agriculture is still more important to human survival than oil will ever be, without food, every human will die of hunger, leaving behind the supposed oil we all consider to be the most valuable.

Contradicting you with your point, let me remind you that your example is set over years ago and a lot of changes have already happened since then including the number population that is in constant need of food. Oil helps farmers and food productions to process everything faster to answer to the constant demands for food supply. Hence, if we're going with your narrative, it will be close to impossible to cater to the unimaginable demand of food supply from billions of people without oil making it easier as it powers tools and supplies that a lot of farmers and food productions rely on. Moreover, isn't the very reason why oil and power tillers or tractors are adapted by many farmers due to the convenience it brings them to ensure that the demands are being met? I remember farmers even having a hard time saving up just to afford these tools and machines to help them with their work as it is becoming impossible for them to handle all the demands for food and the problem with lack of food supply.

As long as I know, Agriculture is a global muscle economic booster because all organisms seeks lives before pleasures of treasures.
No one sustains live without food consumption but life can still be sustained without the resource of oil production rather better to say technology wouldn't has been advanced to as today's.

Agriculture as a sector of consumable produces (food) is a naturally designed to sustain lives that occupies the earth while oil is just a resources for equipments production.

Talking about negligence towards Agriculture is a capital false because technology has been created to enhance agriculture and to minimize manpowers activities such as
tractor, plough, harrows, cultivators, ridgers, planter, harvesters, shellers, dryer, sprayer, and incubators.
And provisions for healthy being of plants are being made such as pest control chemicals and fertilizers.

Thousands and millions of ideas towards Agricultural sectors is of no comparison than that of oil as you thought at OP. If you think that there is no weapon as dangerous as the nuclear weapons, you should remember same weapons are manufactured my human and don't underestimate lower sizes but seek deep to its potentials.

Agriculture is life and oil is a technology  substance which the glob seeks lives before technological products.

So with Agriculture as a prior to sustain lives in general I hope to have convinced you that Agriculture Sector has every tendencies to boosten a global economy than oil sector.

It's true that a lot of wealthy people use their connections and resources to set up their children for success. But success isn't it a relative term? Success in the current economy is more than just having money; even assets like Bitcoin are subject to extreme fluctuations. It has to do with comprehension, flexibility, and resilience

Certainly, there can be difficulties when marrying into riches. There is a lot to process in terms of the surroundings, expectations, and social relationships. You're right; balance is essential. Balance, yet, isn't that what we all aim for, money or no money. Balance and understanding are crucial, regardless of the erratic nature of relationships or the turbulent market for bitcoin

Why does wealth inequality cause some marriages to fail? Maybe it's about mutual growth, respect, and understanding rather than money alone. Can a relationship's success be determined solely by money? Or is it a matter of common ideals, objectives, and ambitions?
I would say that it's based on how react to it. Lets say that one side is poor and one side is very wealthy and they fall in love and they get married. If the poor reacts to money differently than the rich, it will definitely cause a lot of problems.

This doesn't mean they can't spend it, if the rich likes to spend it then poor could become rich and spend it too, if the rich doesn't spend it and frugal, then the poor has to be frugal too. I am sorry but the rich has to be the one that drives this, otherwise it doesn't make sense. That person become the rich person somehow and they know how they got rich, or at least their parents end up being rich, so that means that we need to be something that would be a lot better.

We know the oil market is booming and countries with oil resources are really making a huge fund out of it and sometimes they do it at the negligence of another local natural resource.

But, of course, the agricultural sector, though not given the proper recognition and the required investment is one sector that contributes seriously to the development and dependence of most nations .

No matter how blessed a country is with oil minerals, if its agricultural sector isn't working and she has to rely on other country for her food and agricultural resources then in event of war or political differences they might suffer.

Agriculture vs oil, which is the big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country?

I guess oil as agriculture (and also many other industries) depends on oil but oil doesn't depend on agriculture. Oil has great liquidity - there's high demand globally and you can sell it easily.

Agriculture and oil are important for the economy. When we talk of the importance, agriculture is more important than oil and the related industry. Most countries lack infrastructure for agriculture, grown countries have better infrastructure. The combined GDP of the oil industry along with other forms of energy seems to be similar as that of the GDP of agriculture.

The oil price directly hits the agricultural industry. Cultivation isn't happening within particular region and distributed. The transportation and other means of expenses increase. This makes the food turn expensive and these days there are crude oil based fertilizers for the mass production. In some means both agriculture and oil have got connect and both are mutually needed.

Ironic point here not known to all is that agriculture can also provide fuel to rival Oil.  The main drawback is mass production efficiency, oil is a finished product almost.  We have not yet perfected the technology but biodiesel is quite a real thing for some time now, its far easier to extract oil enmass and refine it easily but biodiesel can be about recycling waste.  A country without oil but able to grow alot of oil based plants could make do in a pinch, in the world wars gas was extracted from waste decay which is also something done now.

Agriculture vs oil, which is the big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country?
Oil is the mineral resource of a country which helps the country in particular to do economically. Many countries in the world have developed their countries due to oil resources, they earn a lot of foreign exchange by exporting these mineral resources. And agriculture sector is the life of a country, without agriculture the people of a country would never survive depending on the export of other countries. Agriculture plays the most essential role in a country, if there is no agriculture sector then surely the country will suffer many people due to lack of food. Nowadays a country enjoys many benefits depending on its agriculture, everything from food items depends on agriculture alone. So I think agricultural resources are the biggest for a country, compared to oil resources, a country can survive without oil resources, but without agricultural resources the country cannot run.

Agriculture vs oil, which is the big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country?

Oil might be a great revenue stream at the moment for many oil exporting countries, but the high oil price is not going to stay like this forever. There will always be fluctuations in the oil price, which is why countries in the Middle East are looking for ways to diversify their countries away from oil. Tourism seems to be one sector many of the smaller countries like UAE or Dubai are focusing on, this attracts a lot of people from around the world and can bring in a lot of money if you can attract the rich tourist. One problem for the rich oil countries is that living standards are quite high, which means that transforming the country from oil to agriculture is not going to be easy. The wages of farmers are going to be lower than people working in the oil business, it's going to be hard to make people understand that they need to cutback and are going to earn less in the future. One way this could be solved would be with government subsidies, like many countries are doing with their food industries. The rich oil countries tend to have government wealth fund where all the oil money is being invested. With such large money reserves the government could boost the agriculture sector for a longtime and make them competitive and against countries with cheaper wages.

The most important fact to consider is the expanded usecase of renewable energy. Due to high carbon emission from fossil fuel some countries is focusing their development and resources towards renewable energy sector. In some context renewable energy proved to be cheaper than fossil fuel and companies like tesla is promoting renewable energy from the past decade heavily. Oil exporter countries will lose a huge stream of revenue.

Agriculture involves production of one of the most basic needs of man which is food, so it will always be in demand and will never have an alternative because there is no alternative to food. Oil is important, but there can be alternatives to use and countries that have and do not have oil as a natural resource are looking for alternatives to help reduce their dependence on Oil. A country with a very large investment in agriculture will always be profiting from exportation of agricultural produce to other countries especially when it is of high quality.

thats true, but I guess it have something to do with efficiency maybe mining oil from earth is just more efficient than using plant based fuel, moreover it could also cause crisis, when it comes to using plant for fuel for long term overall country also need to preserve their agriculture product.
therefore i guess there's reason why many country didn't really produce plant based fuel but then again there are many things needs to be considered.
but overall its oil and agriculture needs to coexist in order to boost each other production.

Agriculture vs oil, which is the big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country?
Agriculture involves production of one of the most basic needs of man which is food, so it will always be in demand and will never have an alternative because there is no alternative to food. Oil is important, but there can be alternatives to use and countries that have and do not have oil as a natural resource are looking for alternatives to help reduce their dependence on Oil. A country with a very large investment in agriculture will always be profiting from exportation of agricultural produce to other countries especially when it is of high quality.
Currently, oil and agriculture are almost the same as two things that are very important for human survival. Oil has an important meaning as the energy source that is most needed to drive the economy in various sectors. However, oil certainly has weaknesses because it is non-renewable energy.

Agriculture is the main sector for human survival, there are many alternatives that can be used to encourage agriculture to produce food. Even though agriculture is dependent on oil to speed up the process, even though it does not have oil energy sources, agriculture can still be carried out using traditional patterns. However, what is clear is that agriculture that produces food is the first milestone in supporting human survival. Without adequate food, all sectors will be greatly affected and the economy will not even survive.

Even though oil is not a renewable energy, to this day it is still used by many factories and large companies when processing raw goods into goods that are ready to be marketed for use by many people. This means that oil is still seen as an important energy source for almost all countries that have large companies and factories in the world, so its weaknesses will not be so visible because its usefulness is still much greater and is also much more desired by many people to this day.

The food sector such as agriculture should not be ignored and several countries are very serious about managing this better and even countries that do not have large areas of land for the agricultural sector have also implemented hydroponic farming in order to produce stable food for life. Because as you said, the agricultural sector can still be done traditionally by not relying on machines that require farmers to use oil, but because of the influence of current technology, not many people want to do farming traditionally anymore.

Both Agriculture and oil are very important for any country , agriculture gives good to eat  to the country .For the strength of any country economy, cultivation plays important role. Production of food is very country if country wants to grow and wants to be independent in the world . Food is first thing to exist in this planet .Oil is also important thing of our life because oil price controls the whole economy of the country .When oil price increases , prices of goods also increases ,if any country has a supply of oil ,it will be developed in a few years. Oil is such type of commodity on which all world economy depends ,we should save oil resources if we want to alive in the World.

Obviously BOTH.because without fossil-fuels we would not have agriculture because fertilizers consist of fossil-fuels for its nitrogenization. Also, currently, we cannot survive without fossil-fuels/crude oil because the planet will experience “ENERGY POVERTY” that can collapse global economies eventually.  Now a soldiers gloves, boots, helmet, sunglasses, backpack, pretty much everything he carries is a direct partial byproduct or an indirect byproduct (indirect meaning oil was needed to manufacture/produce). Okay so the fuel consumption alone should give you an idea of how needed oil is.
Agriculture, fueled literally by fossil fuels for tractors, plows, reapers, sprayers, fertilizers, harvesters and combines, trucks and trains, graineries and processing plants and pumps and cleaners and canneries and bottle washers and trucks and ovens and warehouses and shippers, is feeding 6.5 billion people. Every day. 6.5 billion people. Some 6 billion of those will starve to in the cold and dark if fossilfuels are restricted.

Agriculture vs oil, which is the big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country?
I think a country with oil economic strength tend to be better off than Agriculture producing countries with reference to oil rich countries whose major source of income and foreign exchange is oil, it is obvious that they use proceed from oil to develop their country while importing food from other countries, take for instance the Saudi Arabian league clubs that signed foreign based  players across Europe with huge money obtained from oil sales which any Agriculture producing country can not boost of, though some oil producing countries  recently economic downturn, I believe it's attributed to mismanagement and corruption by the government officials.

Of course oil is the best to get a profit because it becomes the main fuel for today's technology, and also very little oil supply and year to year is getting more and more expensive, while for agriculture itself still has a lot of land and ways to get results Earth from agriculture for needs.
Oil is the best tool for the country's foreign exchange, and the average oil-producing country is a rich country today.

Still if the narrower agricultural land I think there will be a food criition where agriculture will become an indigenous industry and can be a country's foreign exchange in the next few decades, we see the human population index as well as the building population that is increasingly increasing and it will narrow the lands to do agriculture in the future.

The instance you gave is good but you should not forget that Saudi Arabia do not only depends on oil for economical success they also focus on mining they have natural resources like Gold and other precious stones. An this countries have less population so the money gotten from this natural resources is enough for distribution for the masses, so most of the money are been used to build infrastructures such as tourist centers and 5 stars hotel.

People do travel from different countries and come to Saudi Arabia for recreational activities and tour. Now this made us to understand that not only the resources can make increase the financial strength of a country but investment on the country can contribute to it. A country where a lot of foreigner visits a lot they are sure to be successful. Such countries like Dubai.

I think both agriculture and oil are important in their place but if they are compared then agriculture will be considered as the most important thing. This is because agriculture has been with man since birth when nothing else existed except agriculture. Oil has been a very short time since the world started to develop, after that oil reserves started to be discovered and various facilities and conveniences for man started to be created by its use.

When there was no oil, man was still alive, He used wood as fuel. When there were no vehicles, people traveled on foot and various animals were used to carry goods. Airplanes, trains, military equipment, various industries, modern needs were nothing, life was difficult but not impossible, because there was no oil, but still there was agriculture and the greatest need. In olden times, soldiers did not have modern equipment but war was still fought, Even then there was no oil but still agriculture was there and was considered the most important need of the time. I think even today agriculture is the need of the hour.
