Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler?

Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?

In the past I do keeping records to know my financial expenses , but overtime since I know how limit my self? I stopped tracking my gambling money but I made sure that my budget will be keep and yes that is the amount I keep spending.

Someone whom we both have this discuss yesterday said this is a good practice, I still don't see a reason why because I don't keep record of my losses, I tend to only remember when I win a certain amount, if its good enough you won't easily forget, but apart from this I don't care.

actually this shows how responsible the person is and how that person knows how to balance and limit his fundings that is why he said this is a best practice.

So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?

It depends on the type of record to keep when it comes to gambling discussions like this, what is the benefit of keeping a record that will always bring tears to one's eye if all you had was a perpectual records on losses, there's nothing to encourage one in this than add up to depression because the records aren't enticing to keep, share or see oftentimes, but when we have some outstanding moments with gambling experience, we couldn't wanted to afford loosing these moments with putting them into archive for remembrance, such are good for this purpose and not all we have are disheartening records of losses.

If you are only looking for profit it is better to leave casinos and gambling and work or do business so you can make definite and guaranteed profits.
Moreover, when recording all gambling activities from start to finish I am sure that 80% of the records show the loss numbers and the remaining 20% are the winning numbers that the gambler has.
However when they found out about all this I sure they regretted it little but the next day they returned to deposit the money.

What being responsible is you don't compromise other things that you need to provide for yourself and your family as well.

The thing that makes it even more painful is when gambling using bitcoin or other crypto which currently has a high price, if we flashback to a few years ago where the price of bitcoin and other crypto such as Doge was cheap when looking at the current price it might make your chest hurt. I felt suffocated from looking at those notes, and besides, it wasn't a good idea to write them down.

Even if you gamble using fiat money, you may still need to record it because this can cause regret, which in the end makes us continue to gamble until we try to make the money we lose from losing return quickly in full. so that in the end it makes us become addicted without realizing it and go beyond the limits of gambling too deeply. Just face the reality, after all gambling, we have to understand that gambling has a risk of losing, so the money you have lost doesn't need to be recorded, forget it and enjoy the game.

In that matter, it's your choice too; if it helps you, go ahead and do it, and nothing will stop you. Maybe you do that because you are a regular gambler; you can be at the casino every day to play gambling online, or three times a week.

Because if people like me only gamble twice a month, I don't need to do that. So I don't think that gambling is my source of income; it's just for fun and entertainment. But unfairness aside, I just saw such a gambler, and I don't see anything bad or wrong in that either.

I totally agree! Keeping records in gambling is a personal choice. I'm more of a go-with-the-flow person myself.  For me it's all about having a good time, not worrying about taking notes or whatever and  if you get curious and want to try tracking stuff just as an experiment, cool.  But at the end of the day, gambling is our hobby and I just wanna enjoy it without making it into a chore with a bunch of record-keeping.

Take it from me wholeheartedly man this is no good practice in any rational ways, you just ne piling up your trouble and miseries when hard times hit you. When I say hard times I mean moment we are lacking on cash and we start reflecting on those records on how much we have wasted to gambling and stupid you were just so willing to have spend so much amount put together on gambling with nothing good to show off.
  Those records can only bring regrets and that's the damn truth about that. Like what's the point of keeping records for money I won't be given back at the end? It looks like you have good management in gambling. I never thought about recording my gambling activities. I only pay attention to my financial condition. If I had more money then I would gamble, if not then there is no reason to gamble

You will be still be a bad gambler even if you keep a record or take a note but you cant manage your money wisely. Maybe not for you, but for some people it is useful.There are various reasons and scenarios for us to gamble at online casinos, whether it's methods, tricks, variables and all kinds of things. everything is functioned or used, it can also be intended, according to the concepts and ideas they think or plan. It doesn't matter if you don't record your gambling statistics, whether it's wins or losses. as long as no one objects to it, and you are happy with the gambling you do even without taking notes. Please, there's no problem with all that.

In short, from several comments I read regarding people who record their gambling, whether they win or lose. the simple reason is, so they know how much they have spent, and how much they have earned. with the final scenario, they limit the budget if their limit has reached the limit.
ideally, this idea is good and I like it. unfortunately, I can't do it. might be the simple answer, because I never do that. and one more thing, it won't make you bad even if you don't do it. Most importantly, you also have certain limits in the gambling you do.
