What does being rich mean in your perspective?

Big houses, there are more than 1 car and they are earning huge money that even their huge spending they still have extra money. Thats my perspective of rich people having all the assets that an average person finds hard to obtain, and mostly their salary or let's say their income is 10x the average person's salary. I do live in a 3rd world country, and this is what I noticed in my neighbors so it is very easy to distinguish those kinds of people from middle-class or poor people by taking a look on their houses and what car they are driving.

Once I'm financially stable, in the sense that I can take care of my daily needs, cater to my family needs and loved ones and build a dream house, buy a dream car, marry a dream wife, and have an investment portfolio like investing in the real estate which has been my childhood dream business, own some companies and lastly, invest in Gold and Bitcoin then I will tend to comfortably say that I'm rich.

Apparently, we consider rich people who have more things than the necessities of life. Big cars, big palaces, big business and land are the signs of rich people. Every desire and every facility in the world is at their doorstep. They never have to worry about money. Their income is more than their expenses. This is everyone's perception of rich people, but in my opinion, rich is the one who is easily satisfied with the necessities of life and is completely healthy. If you have peace in your life, you are rich. There is no limit to wealth, but the more it is, the more the lust of man increases. In my opinion, if you have no disease, you are physically fit, then you are the richest man in the world.

Defining wealth is always different from person to person, and this is my version of it.

- Meeting all the needs of the household
- Have savings and emergency and other insurance for the family
- Having a big business/enterprise as the main income
- Have some diversified investments (BTC/gold/property and other assets).
- House + Car is a necessity for our daily life
- Have prosperity for family and loved ones including relatives.

If I have fulfilled the above then I will be called rich, if other people have different views then I will not ignore it.

being rich is indeed based on the posession of materialistic, after all I presume it words that illustrate material, the fact that we owns much money means we are rich that alone already elaborate the meaning of the words but of course, there are other ways to be rich like having good spiritual mindset, where we always seek peace is a richness on its own but really from the standpoint of many people out there rich means you posses much money.

Because the views of the rich people are various. But in my opinion most people see richness in terms of finances and lifestyle. why is that, because people who have houses, vehicles, gadgets or possessions are what they consider rich. I also recognize that people who have everything I said are rich, but in my opinion not a few people who have abundant wealth are unhappy, you could say unlucky in family relationships. Maybe with their financial wealth they can buy anything, but not with family, time, health.

Being financially rich does not necessarily make us happy, there must be things that we want to buy to fulfill the current luxurious lifestyle. you are right that health is more expensive. financial wealth is only about numbers and nominal. So it is better to live well with good relationships with family, than to live with abundant wealth but not mentally happy.

To me being rich means having a well paid job, driving a high end car, going 2-3 times per year on a fancy vacation and owning my own apartment or house. All of these things could even be achieved with a small bank account if we have a high regular income from our job and there is no risk of losing it. Alternatively the same could be achieved with a big bank account that pays high returns each month. Money shouldn't be the only factor to determine if someone is rich, because sudden price changes in assets or high inflation can let a small fortune disappear quickly. That's why diversifying wealth as broadly as possible and buying things like a vintage car, jewelry or even antique furniture can make a person such without having a lot of money in the bank. Also with the high real estate prices these days having half a million USD in the bank without any other assets is not enough to be rich. The money wouldn't be sufficient to be a nice apartment in most of the big cities. A well paying job that is going to earn more than that in the next several years should be a better choice.

Being able to fulfill all the needs we need will certainly make life feel happier because we never experience difficulties in being able to fulfill what we need. The rich in this world are those who have more money than they need. But I think if you spend money according to your needs but still have enough money then I think you are rich. I also consider rich people who have nice houses, nice cars, have enough property of their own and who have high respect in the society. But it is completely external. On my end, being rich is having no worries of anything concerning money; buying new things, studying to an exclusive school or university, spending without checking the item’s price. These are the general definitions to many people concerning being rich. It is easy to save and anyone can do that. On my end, I percieve a person rich based on the amount which is constantly enetering his bank and not the amount of savings alone. Reason? A person with large savings will have the same thing on a daily basis ‘coz he/she is not using the funds.
