You know, not all such cases are alike. Yours is quite strange, but I have a feeling we don't know everything. It's hard to say anything here, because Cornborn barely said anything. The verification process can sometimes be difficult and lengthy, and certainly for someone doing it for the first time. I think it's too early to draw conclusions that your case and his are similar.

Since a time of Bets.io return in Bitcoin forum, as I read, they have good stats on AskGamblers according to a post from icopress. I did not check it on AskGamblers honestly, but with this information, I don't see that Bets.io is a bad online gambling business at least till now.

I don't know, maybe that's the case, since he hasn't been online for almost a week now. With that much money, he'd be actively asking for confirmation about his funds, but it seems the issue has been resolved and he no longer needs to be here. If a casino creates a scammer, they'll be focused on deceiving everyone from the start - campaign manager also. Intuition isn't always accurate here, and you have to rely solely on evidence.
So if someone doesn't even know how to write a scam accusation correctly, but has evidence, just because it's new we can't pretend there's no evidence.
Services like AskGamblers are very good and often helpful, but if someone provides solid evidence, we can rely on that too. If there isn't any, we can simply remain impartial and that's it.
