That's interesting.  I'm not shocked that there are studies on this revealing such high percentages.  however, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how that initial winning trap actually works.  Do casinos manipulate the games to give new players better odds? If not talking about the first time loss gamblers that later become addicted, what you are saying is not completely true. If we can do a survey of gamblers that won or lost in their first game, the people that will chose won can not be 100%. They might not be 70%. It may be 50%. Some people will gamble for the first time and lose and continue to gamble. The main reason is because they think gambling is a way money can be made. Unless they change their the way they think about gambling, that gambling is is not a money making means, first time win or loss is not necessarily the cause of their addiction.

I agree that it can be dangerous when a first time gambler wins in their first try gambling. Why I think so is, after the gambler wins, he is going to think that things went easy for him to win the prize money, and then will want to try again to see if they can win again on a second attempt. Sometimes the easy part might to placed before us for us to fall victim but if we know how to go about it, we might understand the market and make profits for it. It is not easy for us to make reasonable profits as a gambler but as a newbie the road might become very easy for them and they might not know that it is a trap for them to bet more and lose more. this type of question for me is a very subjective matter so the answer to this question will vary from one person to another. addiction will be at bay if the person doesn't have much thing to do or he has no other activities that he can use his spare time to.

Yes, but the OP's point is based on the statistics: many first-time gamblers win because of the unknown aspect or anything. It is indeed a trap for first-time gamblers because they are eager to play more and earn more, which will result in either a good or bad path. But even if the gambler loses for the first time, it could also be a trigger for that gambler to earn more even if they lose. Why? It's because they will chase their losses as it's their first time gambling and regret losing their money, or they can't take the idea of losing. Either way, losing or winning is a trap for first-time gamblers, without a doubt. And it seems like on most gambling platforms or especially slots, many people apply this strategy. Provides winnings at the beginning of the user's betting.
