We all do not have that kind of thinking, some easily get stressed and can't think of the right thing to do. And some will take their lives thinking that was a great solution to their problem. Indeed, it was just money and we can still get it but what if that is borrowed money and promise to repay it tomorrow? We can't really say that it was only because of gambling as it is possible that he used this to rid of his main problem yet the issues got worse and he even lost a lot of money. The crazy part is that gambling addiction seems so harmless at first which for this business man may have been because your so blind to everything around you that all your focused on is trying to win big, double your money or trying to recover an earlier loss not knowing that everything around you is falling apart little by little it starts to affect your mood, your family and even your job and in this case here, your business. In my own opinion, gambling addiction is not a good thing, but it can destroy a person's life, where the impact is so big that a person can change their behavior drastically. a person will experience a change in their mindset because of addiction, with this addiction it can make them spend the money they have and yet they may take out loans here and there to go back to gambling if  they no longer have money and of course their life will be in debt because of this addiction which has already occurred. make it difficult for them.

There's no amount of money that can make me to commit suicide, those individuals that committed suicide don't know the worth of their life and they don't love their life as when they love their self, they won't take their own life no matter what happens. We shouldn't use peer pressure to start gambling so we can live up to the expectations for the society. For people who can't manage deep emotions and are easily fainted, gambling is obviously not meant for them. If they won't committ suicide, they resort into committing crimes, so definitely both are not good for them. Apparently this is a true live event happened in my State this week and almost everyone is talking about it. About a young man that killed himself after a gamble loss, he even left a message for his family and friends before taking his life.  But I wonder why should someone take his own life  just because he lost  #2.5 million to gambling an amount  equivalent to just about $3k. I can relate to his loss but taking your life is something unimaginable and unjustifiable to do. No matter the regrets suicide isn't an option to be taking as a solution , you are only leaving bigger pains  behind for your loved ones.

No offense but if you consider taking your own life over anything, you're an idiot. If you have a terminal disease that is unbearable, you might have a reason(Might), but other then that you shouldn't ever be considering suicide.

These kind of cases are actually quite rampant in my area as I hear so many stories of people actually ending their life which like you said is not an option whatsoever because before ever you involved yourself in gambling you would have the knowledge that gambling isn't something that's profitable at your every try and I think nothing in this world guarantee that, so everyone should know how to handle a little defeat, I mean if everyone ran to the option of ending their life over loses they have enquired then I think the human race would be really looking at the verge of extinction.

The difference is the mentality of the person not what he lost, some people also in other cases such as heartbreak, many young people prefer to commit suicide because of such things, so the lesson to be learned is not to think that something that is in you is everything from your life, because that kind of mindset is in you then if you lose it you will be the one who will end your life, like the case of the young man who lost the gambling.

No matter how much he loses, if he has good personality fundamentals he will take more mature actions, but if he has a bad personality then that's how he will solve his problems.

I also saw the news on one of my local websites. I felt bad after seeing it. From the news that I saw, I heard the guy was a businessman and he took a loan. Then he went ahead to go gamble with the loan, but unfortunately he lost the bet, and he decided to kill himself. I don’t know why you should take a loan and gamble with it, the guy is even having a business, he should have just used the loan that he took to boost his business, but he prefers to gamble with the money, and he lost.

I can relate to his loss but taking your life is something unimaginable and unjustifiable to do. No matter the regrets suicide isn't an option to be taking as a solution , you are only leaving bigger pains  behind for your loved ones.

No matter how difficult my condition is, I will never think about committing suicide. In every problem you think you have, there is always a solution, so the best thing to do is to sit down and figure out the alternative solution to the problem, rather than committing suicide. Gambling is very funny and highly unpredictable, you'll come up with a game you'd term SURE GAME, and if you're to be asked you'd almost swear with your life that this game is going to play in your favor and then out of nowhere you'll meet disappointment and then you wonder how it happened, every gambler should know this and prepare for it. Gambling can disappoint you in moments you don't expect amd also favour you in the least moment you expect too so it'd be sooo wrong to just assume that everything would go as planned all the time. You're right, we cannot run away from our problems, we finds solutions to them, now that he commit suicide on himself, he just put the family in two devastating conditions, the loss of their brother and the burden of repaying back the debt he left behind, he chose to die by killing himself even before they could attempts killing him, i don't think I've seen a case of killing someone because of something related to this before.

From the information reaching me, he borrowed #1.2 million or $1.2k from a friend with the promise of returning the funds when he wins the bet. He preferred ending his life than facing his debtors. What a terrible choice. I don't think anything in this life can make me take my own life. He lost hope of living out of desperation to win the best which was cut off as a result of his great loss. I can't imagine that a businessman of his caliber stopped so low as to see gambling as an investment opportunity that he even had to go borrow to invest in it.  He literally failed the life test of endurance and keeping hope alive in the face of temptations and adversity.

Gambling in moderation should be adopted by everyone who wishes himself well in this life. I even hope that one day, strong government or gambling association policies can help  reduce considerably the excesses that people  showcase in the act of gambling. People need to be properly sensitized that gambling isn't a solution to poverty and isn't to be focused on when you need money. There is no loss which can be justified for taking own life, deeply saddened to see such disturbing news and the wort part is the fact that it's not the first time we have seen such news. I don't usually post in Gambling section but I think one shouldn't gamble more than what they can afford to live, there are some basic rules let it be for future trading or gambling that people only invest the amount which doesn't affect them financially as it's a gamble and our livelihood shouldn't be placed at risk. It's my humble request to all those who gamble to never gamble more than you can lose and nothing matters more than your life as one can go from zero to millions but life cannot be revived.
