It is not good for an investor to use all of their discretionary income to buy bitcoin when they have not set up a backup funds. If they are face with an emergency they will be left with no other choice but to sell there bitcoin in other to be able to solve whatever problems they maybe facing.
What you said here are true, because without having a backup funds in place to protect your bitcoin investment from real life emergencies, selling your Bitcoin holdings when emergency struck is inevitable. Though their are some folks that can afford to invest in Bitcoin without a backup funds, which are the rich guys, only because they have rich uncle's, dad, aunty, business partners or even other asset they can sell to address any emergency at hand that would have compel them to sell when they never wanted to, but if you know that you are not in such a level financially, setting an emergency and reserve funds in place to protect your bitcoin investment is very necessary, because that's the only way your Bitcoin investment can be a success.

Have we thought about why people resort to selling when they face challenges? It's obvious. People are forced to sell on every small challenge they face because they invest all they had in the first place. They have no back up funds, no emergency funds and the worst, they didn't invest with discretionary funds, they invest all they had. When you're in a situation like this, selling becomes your first option during challenging times instead of being your last option if you had emergency funds on ground. Challenges never end, if selling your investment is always and only the available option during every challenge, you'll never compound. To be honest with you, you're not even investing, you're just saving.
Without an adequate emergency fund and good cash flow, you may end up selling Bitcoin in difficult times. However, I think the problem is not just buying more Bitcoin; the real issue is how much risk you are taking relative to your financial capacity. It is foolish to buy Bitcoin with full money if you always have extra money on hand. Because, some of it can be invested in Bitcoin, some of it can be kept as an emergency fund, and some of it can be used for current expenses as needed. As a result, on the one hand, you can save Bitcoin, and on the other hand, you don’t have to rely on selling the saved Bitcoin when a sudden need arises. So whether more Bitcoin is good or bad is not so simple. Rather, the question should be, is the amount of Bitcoin that you are buying compatible with your discretionary income and your own cash flow? If that balance is right and it is possible to maintain it for a long time, then gradually increasing your Bitcoin savings seems more realistic.

Dude you are very correct, most of the people you talked about they can't really invest with out backup funds because most of them had already have some financial strength, some of them have an asset which they can sell to recover from any lost. But if one know that you can't march to their level we should always try to keep on emergency funds sometimes it is very important that's the only way our Bitcoin investment we be very successfully. Yes what is said is very vital without backup funds we will be left behind also we should also consider to emergency funds that's one of the key factor for Bitcoin investment.

I don't see anything wise for someone to depend on the asset they already that is running back to sell those asset anytime they have a challenge that is really insane if you ask me because you should work out a way to make sure those asset and your Bitcoin investment are been protected against any challenge that may come up. I will advise you still sort out an emergency funds and don't rely on selling your asset to protect one.

Yeah I understand what you’re trying to say but you have to understand that those people who have rich and wealthy families and others already have a backup funds. Though it may not be specified as emergency or backup but they have a buffer for their investments. Another thing is it’s never good to make investments based on someone else’s money, humans are unpredictable as well and can disappoint you when you least expect them to.

Buying Bitcoin is one thing also HODLing your Bitcoin for long is another thing, if you start investing in Bitcoin with out proper arrangements and management you might sell your Bitcoin half way. If you want to stay long in the market make sure you accumulate Bitcoin with your discretionary income, also make provisions for your emergency funds and back up funds, having all these in place will make you stay longer in the market, if you are using money you may be needing soon to invest in Bitcoin you will end up selling your Bitcoin half way.

The standard is, if you can’t hold your investments for a long time to reap from what you have sowed just the way you will reap from a seed you have planted and allowed to grow. The more you nurture the seeds to grow, the better your chances are from reaping them. But the less you nurture the seeds from growing, the less the chances of it giving you the desired results you are envisioning. This is just a simple analogy or way of explaining how bitcoin investments work in the long term plan. The potentials of you reaping from them is very high likewise the patience and efforts it takes in nurturing them. The best way is, always have a backup plan and emergency funds you will take from and avoid taking directly from the money invested if not you will end up investing without realizing any tangible profits or financial benefits from it.

This balls down to lack of proper planning and the fact that some investors are careless with their investment decision thinking that they can just do anyhow and expect to get the right result. Before buying an asset be it bitcoin or any other asset, you first have to decide that this is what you want to make out of it. if you are holding it for dour years for a start, even if along the way you want to invest in bitcoin, you can still set up other financial plans on ground that helps you to effectively manage the different asset i your possession and not necessarily forego one just because you want to get another. what is called investment is something you are not interesting in trading for someone else at the slightest market reaction and that is why a supposed investor that is quick to consider a sell decision at the slightest negative tendencies in the asset he is holding is mostly looked at as a trader.

We can grow a tree seed by watering it and taking care of it, but even if we want the price of Bitcoin, we cannot grow it like that tree. So comparing it with Bitcoin does not seem right to me. The success of Bitcoin comes when you invest the amount of money you have invested for a long time and if the price of Bitcoin is high at that time, then you can make profit. As the tree grows, the issue is that the output is getting better with time. But there is no guarantee that if you hold Bitcoin for a long time, the output will give guaranteed profit with time. If you compare your investment process to planting a tree seed, then where you plant the tree will be your foundation. In the case of investing in Bitcoin, the foundation is your discretionary income and back-up fund. When and how you water it is your investment process, meaning you can water it regularly if you want, and in Bitcoin, that is investing by following the DCA method. And just as it is wise not to uproot trees early time , the accumulation stage should be planned in such a way that you do not have to sell your Bitcoin in the middle of investing . Only then will investing in Bitcoin increase your chances of providing financial security in the future.
