A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?
If we do speak about social media contents then it wont really be just that limited on gambling-related things alone but also in other things as well on which it might not really be that proper or just right for young viewers for them to see or look with those things on which it could really be something that could really be affecting them in future actions that they would be making. This is why parenting would really be something important on this regard on which it would really be needing that you would really be telling your kids that they should really be not seeing or tending to follow these kind of contents on which we know that this is something that could really be affecting them in near future.

Now that we are seeing tons of those slot gaming streams online specially on facebook then it is really that most likely that our kids will really be able to see those stuffs.
If you dont mind that much about their possible condition the one day you might be seeing them engaging with gambling without you knowing and we know that this is something that we dont
really like to happen. Be responsible as a parent but of course not all the time we would be able to monitor them. This is why it would really be situational.

Luckily, my country has now imposed sanctions on influencers and creators if anyone promotes gambling site advertisements either through uploaded YouTube videos or on other social media stories, maybe this can prevent underage children from not getting to know gambling sites. too early for them and also prevents them from mental damage, because usually small children will definitely do what they see, especially if the gambling site advertisement is promoted by a creator or influencer they idolize.

But I have to remind you that if you don't want to be influenced by gambling content, the first step is to report the content and choose a statement that the content does not match what you watch on social media. We need to know that if we watch more than 1 minute of gambling content, then content with gambling keywords is found again on social media homepages, so you have to immediately filter content that is worth watching and it is better to filter gambling content if you are not the type of gambler.
Yep, with technology that always improving, now we can set up the contents that we want to see.

The problem is there are many people that didn't want to spend their time to checking the update and use the feature, they just keep blaming the social medias why they recommend "that" content, while the fact they're the one who interested with it lol.

Don't blame the social medias, but blame themselves for not learning new things.

Children are not the usual victims of gambling advertised through social networks, the victims are young people with smartphones and computers, internet coverage everywhere to follow interesting topics, bringing small advertisements to a niche part of users, although in the face of media blocking from the government, some content still spreads out. Especially gamers in some gaming fields, they are not too famous to a large extent but have a certain voice in the niche community, from there, gambling ads can easily reach viewers, it's easy to accept advertising offers when they are just small streamers, very few brands care about and collaborate with them.

Teens most of the time. They are the ones who can decide what they want to do so mostly they end up gambling just so they could double their allowances.
The problem is, gambling sites are open to anyone and so they will try to use the credentials of those around them to take advantage of it.
Governments must be aware of this and I know they have the numbers to prove that most gamblers in this era are teens. As a individual, all we could do is warn the people near us, but when it comes to national problem the government must also do something to percent this kind of schemes from happening over and over again.

Not only on YouTube, they are very popular on TikTok, X formerly Twitter), Facebook and what they do is that they don't directly advertise gambling platforms, they do their normal videos like joke, comedy, football bant, sport analysis and then they tell you to click on the link on their BIO and when you do, you will be directed to a particular gambling platform with 100-300% bonus on your first bonus, so many of them without remorse for underage.

Underage this days are very inquisitive and they want to know what's you actually mean by that % increment on deposit because everyone literally want to make money these days, and it's even funny that nobody speaks about this actions because it has become the norm in the society but it's bad.

the influence of social media in almost everything we do in recent times cant be overly emphasized as they are very obvious in that we see it how it gets gambling really popular and gets us to start getting to know to well about gambling much more than we have known before now because the gambling social platforms bring to us the reasons to gambling and this making it appear very interesting and attractive to potential gamblers because of the bonuses they offer and make gamblers believe they give gamblers who gets to sign up on their platforms. you are very right this actually gets to affect kids who get to find interest in some of these influencers who get to promote the gambling platforms.

interestingly these gambling sites and casinos get to pay their influencers handsomely making it a reason for them to not want to end any of the deal when brought to them because the care mostly about their money and sadly its almost not possible to get these adverts off the screen of those who aren't the target audience because they get to still view the social platforms of these influencers who has got no restrictions on them and the contents they do put up on those platforms.
