Unfortunately, only intentional parenting can protect kids from the negative effects of gambling ads on the minds of minors. The government cannot help and no bill can be passed in that regards. Parents should have regular conversations with their kids. It is during these conversations that they'll know what their kids have been up to. Parents should monitor their kids social media activities and if possible block all gambling ads/promotions on their mobile phones.

I was exposed to gambling when I was around 14-15 years old and it didn't affect me at all. Back in the day, social media wasn't a thing, but I used to read books about playing poker and blackjack. I didn't visit an offline casino back then and I have never gambled in my teenage years.
I can assume that most kids/teenagers won't be heavily impacted by all this gambling content on social media. Maybe some of them will try to gamble, but who is going to give them money? Their parents? The teens should find a job in order to get money for gambling, I see this as a win. Starting to work at a younger age is way better than doing nothing and watching your phone all day.
Maybe all the social media platforms should impose strict regulations about gambling sponsorships and advertisements.

IMO, there should be the right platform for it. There are kids on social media not because they want entertainment but because some schools now require the parents to have one so that they can be updated and there are times kids must also use it to send their homework when school is on asynchronous online learning due to different reasons like the pandemic and right now the heat in Asia which could affect the students.
Now, if kids do learn how to maneuver the social media application, it also means they can bump into those videos with gambling advertisements in the end. We are in a world where everyone wants to make money and no body cares of the negative effect it will cause to other people out there. Although most of this advert usually comes with caution that only parmits 18years+ which means viewers under the age of 18 years are not allowed to participate. But that doesn't stops or change anything because underaged persons see that caution as not useful and outdated, because even underaged youths watch pornography online despite is marked 18+ but as the case may be, the world is gradually changing. So everyone is doing what pleases them. Only social media influencers with strong moral principles and ethics that would reject some gigs. I see that this kind of promotions is common now a days, even popping up every now and then, but what the parents should do is to put some parental guidance restrictions on the phones their kids are using. For example, you can only subscribe to the kids zone on YouTube and instruct your kids to only visit YouTube. Don't allow them to visit any other social media channel apart from the once you have probably seen to be safe for them. Kids are always fast in learning and if they are exposed to those gambling stuffs more frequently, they can decide to try it one day until they become gamblers at a very young age.

this is one of the viral issues here in our country because some youtubers/ influencers are doing Mommy/Child parenting vlog wherein their contents are for kids but at the end of the video, there's a 1 minute video promotion about gambling, yes, they have a disclaimers but we all know that we can't control a viewers actions so vloggers should be aware of the impact that may affect their viewers especially that there's a kids or minor who watched their videos. This is really difficult to control as there is explosion of internet users that restrictions are quite hard to maintain. Teenagers go online at their own will without control because they have access to smartphones either their own or that of their parents. So I think the bulk of the restrictions depends on the social media platforms to restrict certain ads. I Won't stop saying that it's the responsibility of parents to protect their children or ward from all of the negative influences from the internet specifically social media platforms and influencers.  Many times why these kids fall victim to all of these negativities is due to ignorance. For the gambling, if parents can enlighten their kids about what gambling is all about and the need to why they ought not to engage in it until to a matured age and also about the negative side of it too. I have small children and when I play a cartoon on YouTube or some TV channel for them, the cartoon is repeatedly interrupted by commercials, and in 99% of cases those commercials are for +18. Is this really a thing though? I thought places like Youtube were pretty strict and against including things like gambling adverts in videos? I could understand influencers on Twitch promoting these things, but think even they have faced a clampdown recently because it got pretty ridiculous. While things like sports betting and general casino gambling is getting more access in the US, I think there are still some quite strict rules around promoting this sort of content. Not sure if you're aware of the aggressive advertising technique casinos implement on the internet. The advertiser at some point understands that gambling is a broad niche and lots of people will definitely get interested in gambling once money is flashed on their computer screen. Hence, the influencer may be away of the followers on their blog, yet it doesn't change the fact that they'll get over such thoughts when money is offered to them. Influencers are well aware of underage followers viewing the page, but that's not the aim of the project. Money is the aim and objective behind the building of the account. You only said they promote the casinos/companies that sponsored them at the end of the videos, but I see it differently here in my country, it is worse as they promote them from almost the beginning, in the middle and in the end depending on the influencer. But these days, it is getting too much, there is no more regulation or consideration for the young people. As with the other comment I made on a similar post, this was because the money they get from these sponsored advertisements are batshit insane, in the Philippines alone, a regular micro-vlogger (someone with at least 4k followers and are more into short-form content than full-on videos) could get $500-1000 bucks, and for larger content creators with millions of followers, the rate last I heard goes upwards of $2000-$20,000 depending on how long the sponsored ad's going to be along with other factors. So it's no surprise these people are so adamant about advertising these obscure casinos. Dignity doesn't pay the bills, and neither does compassion for those who lost their money due to gambling addiction, and with the economy falling into deeper shitholes nowadays, these people find no choice but to actually take these casinos up for their offers.

The internet ad business is a decentralized one and it's not simple to organize an effective method to restrict or regulate how influencers place adverts on their space. But for me, whatever it is, it has an impact, whether positive or negative. yeah, back to each individual. as you said in this thread and post, it is clear there will always be an impact, especially if we look at it from a negative side. as well as current technology, everything makes it easier for us to use and utilize it, including things that have a negative impact. Influencer marketing is the effective as well as most economical way of advertising in these era, Google itself has their own advertising plans but its kind of expensive so casinos choose the creators for collab, sponsor or even complete promotion of their site in different ways.

OP is right, but we can't put all the blame on influencers or ads promoters, they are simply doing that for monetary value which for me isn't bad. They have built a system with followers, so it's left for you to sign up or not.

Funny thing that when I was reading your post, there is a perfect example that I want to share with everyone.

There is a famous GM in Chess named Hikaru Nakamura which is widely known as one of the greatest chess blitz player in the world. He is also famous in the chess community since he consistently posts videos on YouTube about his games and moves. Also, he streams regularly where he created a community due to the rising popularity in chess. Basically, it is like you are watching a wizard do magic tricks in the chess board which makes him very entertaining to watch.

Recently, he streamed and he suddenly played gambling games where he asked his viewers to explain on how online gambling works on that game. When people tried to call him out on his stream, those people were banned from replying.

Now, do you know the dangers of the actions that he just did? His whole viewership consisted of both beginners, adults, GMs, and even KIDS who want to learn or at least witness his greatness on the chessboard. Understanding what the purpose of companies advertising is to attract many people and get profits, to be able to attract many people and a lot of profit, of course, the company will do tantalizing things with its advertisements, one of which is the easy victory obtained even though the reality is the opposite of that.
