Considering the previous performance of RR against all other teams, it is a game they should win against RCB. While RXB has been struggling with their batting, this game can become a game changer. The two giant overseas players (Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell) are yet to contribute significantly for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The same is true for Cameroon Green as well, despite his steep salary. Faf in particular has struggled to get into two digit scores so far. Maxi has scored two ducks in his 4 matches, and the only double digit score was 28 that he made against KKR at Bangalore. Green has got two single digit scores in four matches, and his only decent outing was against KKR where he made 33.

Mainly they are struggling with their bowling lineup. Siraj is making a habit of leaking runs and not leading the bowling unit, to make things worse Maxwell outbowling him should raise some eyebrows. Green is a talented all-rounder but so far he's batting like a bowler and bowling like a batter.

LOL.. so misleading. When I posted, he had scores of 35, 3, 8 and 19. This is far from being impressive. 5th is today's match, and he managed to get 44. It is a good comeback from him, but I would have been happier if he had hit a half-century. Green is an all-rounder and he managed to pick up a couple of wickets in the first match. He scored 33 against KKR, but apart from that he was off-color. Hopefully he will get a chance to bat today and might manage to hit a few sixes. At the moment, RCB seems to have slowed down as they struggle against the RR spinners.

In today's match I thought maybe Royal Challengers Bangalore could win. But eventually lost by 6 wickets and became one of the worst performing teams in IPL.
Rajasthan Royals have topped the points table by winning today's match. Rajasthan Royals have topped the points table with full 8 points after winning 4/4. But one thing I don't understand is Royal Challengers Bangalore are losing every match only because of bad bowling performance despite having such a good batting performance.

Moreover, in this match, the players of both the teams have performed well in batting, especially Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler, the remarkable century they both had is interesting. He made 108 from 53 balls at a strike rate of 203.77, against an attack that included Bilal Khan and Al-Amin Hossain. Apart from Jacks, they also have Mahipal Lomror who is also a T20 specialist. Suyash Prabhudessai would be another option at the top.

You are right,  Royal Challengers Bengaluru batting well in the first innings and a target of 180 plus is good in T20 cricket but they failed to defend it. Reece Topley bowling well picked 2 crucial wickets but lost the match. Rajasthan Royals win it easy the batting performance of Sanju Samson 69 runs innings and Jos Butler well deserved century was match-winning for him especially Jos BButtler'soutstanding outstanding performance in this session scored 2 centuries.

RCB drops a player when they perform decent, Lomror hit 33 of 13 balls and in the next match he was dropped.

I hope DC destroy MI today and make them realize how bad Hardik is as a captain.   They are already at the bottom of the point table a comeback is still possible but the players need to regain their form. Will DC include Prithvi Shaw in thier team once again or not? He played well in the first game but in the last game again he did not bat well. What do you guys think?

Maxwell is a different good player if he doesn't bat well then he will bowl well. A little bit of inconsistent he has been and we might see him back in action. RCB has a lot of issue the only good thing that is happening now with them is Kohli's batting.

Thanks to Romario Shepard, MI won this match against DC. I also feel DC has not been able to get out of the loss by KKR and they made the same mistake that they did against KKR in this match. A big win by MI will be a comeback game for MI, we will know in the next game MI when they play against RCB on the 11th of April. I do not think this game will be competitive as RCB is struggling without the batting performance of Kohli.

Rohit is in his usual knick but consistently failing to play big innings. First choice opener Jaiswal is struggling with the bat, Kohli is looking good but a lot of questions about his SR. In the middle order, Hardik Pandya looks terrible because of the way he's batting. Our other all-rounder Jadeja is also not looking good.

Rinku Singh should be in t20wc squad, he has been supremely consistent. Other young bloods, I don't trust much, they usually choke.

He won't deliberately exclude Hardik from the squad he will find a genuine reason for doing that. MSD did it several times if you remember how Abati Raydu was suddenly removed from the team and how Gangul was shut up when he questioned his removal. There were news reports where Rohit had a spat with Hardik before yesterday's game and he has said that he won't be part of the MI team in the next season. Things are not as rosy as they seem between these two guys but this is cricket and it is a gentleman's game anything can happen.

I feel these two will do something bad with Hardik, I think it is a hunch. Mota bhai's wife is not happy with the outcome of MI till now. They won the last match does not mean they will continue to do that in the next. I feel we will be hearing a lot of gossip till the IPL 2024 season ends and if Hardik can get back the team to top 3 then it will be a different scenario.

Gill is a different material, and the young lad is doing well with the responsibility of captainship. He would make a difference in this IPL both as a captain and as an opening batter till now his captaincy has be spot on and his batting has not been that good as he was before.

I did not understand what went wrong as this is the same team that got 200+ runs on the scoreboard and yesterday they didn't even get to 150. Either the pitch was not that good for batters or CSK bowlers bowled quite well. Most KKR batters got out trying hit boundaries. CSK fielding was quite better than thier counterpart. Today we have PBKS VS SRH and both teams have won 2 games each out of the 4 they played. I would like to see a good close match between these two teams.

What you are saying is correct: these guys won because of bowling. Which according to my understanding was prism perfect accompanied with their fielding. But, the question is was the pitch a factor or the bowlers? Without a pitch and the conditions, bowlers are not that good. In today's match, Rohit Sharma played an amazing innings of 105 runs but in the end could not win the Mumbai Indians. However, because of Pathirana, Chennai Super Kings managed to win tomorrow's match. Yeah! I agree on one factor that PBKS are limited to a few batters and these two young lads are making the difference. CSK batsmen set a good and tough target of 210 to LSG batsmen.  But their batsmen showed hard work and struggle in the match and won the match.Stoinis made 124 runs off 63 balls.  This batsman had performed well in the match.  And apart from that the batsmen also work hard in the match and won the match.Nicholas Pooran the batsman scored 35 runs off 15 balls this batsman also worked hard and struggle in the match.LSG team won the match by scoring runs with a lot of hard work and struggle.  Their batsmen won the match by supporting each other.If the CSK bowlers had taken 2-3 wickets, the match would have been in their hands.  But their bowler did not take more than 4 wickets.

Jaswal on the other hand might get a chance because he is already back in good form and is run regularly and even has an impeccable century. If we compare between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik then maybe Rishabh Pant will be the main choice of the selectors.It is true that Dinesh Karthik has already played some good matches but doing better than that at the moment is Rishabh Pant. Moreover, Rishabh Pant being young can also be a reason for the selectors' preference.

SRH's recent loss against RCB has affected their position in the point table, however, RCB remains at the bottom of the table. Although I'm not very good at math, I assume that RCB will have to win all their remaining matches, if they want to make it to the playoffs. But that seems, like an impossible task, as RCB only seems to perform well when Kohli is playing at his best. Sanjay Manjerekar and the Chief selector (Agarkar) are being proven correct with their concerns over Kohli's T20 performances as in the SR. I think the impact player rule should be removed and the curators should start working on good pitches. It is becoming monotonous now with the ease these batters are going after the bowlers.

The nightmare started when the CSK captain, Rituraj started to time the ball but unfortunately sucummed at 98 runs. He might have gotten overwhelmed with his timing and over confident with his abilities. The good news is that out of all the Indian batting prospects Shivam Dubey is still hitting the ball with full power and getting sixes. SRH can still make it into the playoffs if they don't make such mistakes in their next game.

I don't see any news in the cricbuzz site about the extension of date to make changes in the squad but likely what you said is true cause PCB yet to announce their Squad and in X I can see they will be announced by May 23rd, so yeah that's good to correct the mistake of excluding Rinku, and extra spinner that should be occupied by one more pacer cause it's zero possibility that India will play any match with 3 spinners combination. Also Hardik should justify his selection with some performance.

Virat did start well but stayed back as Faf was timing the ball. I am not going into that route but I am concerned with these guys forcing to include the saffron colour for everything. Even if they did it, which I am assuming they should have made it look superb, they should have made it look good.

You have already talked about the stripes and indeed those white colour Adidas stripe on the the saffron looks ugly. I am assuming they would have made those stripes shining something that the MI team has in the form of gold colour stripes. Don't  you think that MI are not doctoring the BCCI or influencing the BCCI selection.

I think it is a good time to ask BCCI to move their headquarters into a neutral location. Mumbai has been a place where an individual  player like Dada, who after screwing Dalmiya's daughter still got the position of a secretary of BCCI whereas he wasn't anything but a good captain for me.

MI is now getting into the spoilers party along with RCB, made things tough for SRH who thought will end up in the first 2 positions.

SKY showed his class with 102*, but he is kind of struggled in the midway hope there's no injury or we might see a forced change int T20 squad. Once again MI openers failed and form for Rohit is big concern now for India.

Finally, will they rest Bumrah who needs a break before the WC for sure and there's no point for forcing him to play when there's zero possibility for them to qualify.

Okay, these new mugshots are not looking that bad and bring some normalcy. The first look of the leaked shot looked quite horrible tbh

Artistic creativity is not a forte of BCCI so I don't expect any sort of creativity from Baniya BCCI, they are just good at printing money and sucking out blood from fans, that's it.

I am not sure but I think the design of Jersey is being done by Adidas and approved by BCCI. Still being one of the richest cricketing board in the planet they should have added colours which complement the base blue color. I like the way MI jersey has been designed it looks rich and pleasent at the same time whenever players come tonthe field. The worst according to me is the jersey of RR as I don't understand the concept of using pink color for men jersey.

For me the worst is Delhi Capitals's jersey, it just don't give competitive team vibe. Regarding using pink color in RR's jersey, it's likely due to Jaipur, Rajasthan being known as pink city.

They won because SKY made a thrilling comeback just before the T20WC otherwise they would have lost again. Hardik Pandya bowled well if I compare his bowling previously in the IPL, he got 3 wickets and was more economical than he has been. If I am correct with my calculation, SRH needs to win 2 games out of the three left, so hopefully they will not have many problems qualifying for the playoffs. Their NRR is still better than LSG for now but they need to bring it up as it has gone into the negative zone.

Rohit Sharma has been struggling after the ODIWC and might again do it right when he starts playing in the ICC event. The problem with Rohit is that if he goes to bat on pitches that are not batter friendly he tends to lose his wicket too early if not then he keeps on batting till he gets to his half-century. The biggest problem with him now is his fitness which should be a big concern for BCCI. He does know that this WC will be his last to get the trophy otherwise he will never be known as a captain who won the trophy as for batting he has been over shadowed by Kohli.

DC is fully dependent on their opening pair and in particular J. Fraser-McGurk. He did his part and got them a good beginning , as usual they didn't use it for themselves. This is not the first time that he helped DC. What I feel bad is that as soon as Rishab Pant was announced as part of the team his abilities as a batter can be questioned.

Regarding, Rishabh's selection I agree, on Rohit being captain, no better captain than him imho.

Hopefully, Sanju will get place in playing 11 instead of Rishabh.

I agree but there is not any movement on the cushions at the boundary rope which will not likely be if the players touched it and that is the reason he was given out, but from naked eye it looks like he was too close to touching it while holding the ball.  These things bound to happen, even after the wicket of Sanju they still had big hitters but none of them provided what's needed at the moment.

I am certain it was a six as the toe did touch the boundary cushion. Wrong decision by the TV umpire has now become a new normal in this year IPL. If they are not able to use technology to their benefit then why use it?

Fair point but for how many days Rohit will be gaining the sympathy of the nation after the ODIWC. What has happened has happened but the future is not that bright. He is not fit yet he gets to be the captain. He has not be able to bat in T20 format still he is the captain. He was chosen before the IPL had started and in the meantime everyone was focused on the SR of Kohli in T20.
